The smell of burnt wood no longer hung thick in the air, how long had this part of the jungle been crispy…it was hard to tell. The ground was thick with ash, but it was damp in areas, leaving him with a disgusting coat of ashy mud on his paws and splattered on his belly. That was not nearly as bad as the humidity, as the sun rose higher and higher in the sky the heat and humidity also rose, leaving him in a foul mood by midday. This tropical region of the land was not suited for him.

Ronin would eventually come across a burnt and fallen trunk, deciding it was better than laying in the ashy mud he would climb up onto it, claws digging into the already damaged wooden flesh. The beast would lay down, propped up slightly by a knot that marred its relatively smooth surface. Here he could at least rest for a bit before hopefully getting out of the swampy jungle. As he lay there, Ronin would flex his paws, long claws becoming longer as they unsheathed fully to dig into the damaged wood even more. The sound almost soothing to the beast...now...if only there was something more tender and warm to dig in to.

Alma was back, back after finding a desire to wander out of Amaryllis lands, lands full of curious and sometimes asshole individuals. Fun to watch but she opted to leave and explore other places but at the end she was back but keeping it easy, not rushing to make he represence be known yet, just sneaking, moving with the shadows over her moves.

The vegetation felt dense, thick around her frame, but even though she wasn't a fan to this kind of place she did her best to don't let it bother her but who knows how long.

She walked in silence, sniffing and checking on the trails. A good hunt wasn't beyond her wishes, she could hunt if she wanted. She would spot a few tracks, along the mud in some places. They appeared to be from an ungulate so maybe it was from prey? She would need to find out. So without much further lingering She would slowly follow them, but ignoring the grumpy fellow nearby. @Ronin

Solitude never lasted long, at least not in this place, the irritating buzzing of mosquitos and flies prevailed over everything else successfully pissing him off. The beast would shake his head, wishing that the pests would leave him, but of course that was not the case. Someone else did catch his attention, however, allowing him to focus on something other than the buzzing. A deep breath would tell him that it was a lioness that he saw, curious that she had a partial mane. Such things did not exist in his homeland.

Even more curious was that she had paid him no mind. Walking not too far away following somethings foot prints. He would rise from his reclined position taking the time to stretch again, this time more loudly pulling his claws through the wood and yawning loudly. It was not so much a flex to show off his strength- he had no interest in doing that- but if whatever she was tracking was nearby he was sure to have startled it. Looking towards the lioness he would smirk slightly, “oops.”

The woman went further, sniffing the promising footprints, hoping that if she followed them long enough, she would perhaps learn what had made them and further on kill it and eat it. As simple as that, and no games were played by the maned lioness, who's way to survive was to be efficient and never be picky with what she found to eat, either it be bugs to carcasses and birds. Whatever was on the menu. But the peace had to be shattered.

And with a loud yawn and claw sharpening noises a rabbit jumped out of the bush ahead, running away. Well there went a meal, small but enough for the night. She sighed whilst she looked at the man, expression cool but hiding the thorns within. She rolled her sunset eyes, giving him her back. "What a jackass" she said while she would also brush her claws against the bark of a nearby tree. As both a warning and preparing herself to start a hunt again. @Ronin

She had been so intent on ignoring him, but that went out the window with the loud yawn and rasping of claws on bark. Startling the vulnerable bunny out of its hiding place and off deeper into the swampy lands. Good riddance. A bunny was no meal for him anyway. Not even a snack. Her frosted gaze would find him, though he wasn’t the least bit bothered by it, he would simply shrug a shoulder. Ears twitching at the mention of ‘jackass’. Oh, was he now? Lips would curl in a grin. He could have left it at that, really, he could have…but then she would make a show of sharpening her claws, a warning that he noted and then blatantly disregarded.

Ronin would surge forward suddenly, lunging forward to eat the distance between them before attempting to slam his chest into her flank using the momentum from the sudden rush forward. Jaws would part, protecting his throat while forelimbs would reach out, attempting to drag his claws down any flesh he could get ahold of.

She never was in the mood for bullshit, she wasnt going to accept it from anyone and if someone wanted to test the waters she would answer with the same ferocity. And while she attempted to leave, she heard rushing legs towards herself. Eyes rolled in annoyance as she aimed to turn as fast as she could to face the male idiot. A loud growl came out of her throat,ears pulling backwards, hackles rose. She aimed to move of his way, not stupid to just sit there and wait, she did in a way that it wasnt her haunch but in the thick mucled chest,using her spread legs to help her hold on into the impact. Like forming a wall out of herself. She would attempt to move to the male's left as she felt his claws pierce her shoulder's skin, but she cared not. Jaws parted open as she would attempt to bite on the male's back, between his shoulders, whilst she attempted to wrap her own paws with claws out on his own shoulders. She was attempting to stay as far as she could from his jaws and claws.

He hadn’t hit the target he had intended, not really. She had spun to face him just in time so that his chest would collide with her front. Although it was not enough to knock her off balance with her paws rooted into the ashy ground. As he descended, his claws met their mark, digging into the meaty flesh of her shoulder. The hot blood that touched his paws was enough to entice him further, even as his own blood was spilt in the same manner. Her claws would dig and rake down his shoulder, but aside from a hiss of pain, he was unbothered by the sudden pain- in fact, he enjoyed it. She would reach with teeth for his upper shoulder and he would let her get the hold she so desperately wanted. Pain shot through him as her teeth dug into the top of his shoulder, but not between the blades as she desired.

A snarl rumbled from his throat as his head swung around in an attempt to bite into her exposed neck, where neck met shoulder. In tandem, he would pivot his hind end enough so he was more perpendicular to her and then shove his weight forward in an attempt to knock her down onto her side. Left forepaw would come up and attempt to press into her elbow to help shove her down.

What she sought to be a routinely hunt turned into an unexpected bloodshed, well she didnt mind but not when she was interested in something else. She wanted to give the male a good lesson about leaving ladies alone and don't mess with their hunts. Ears flat, loud growls coming like fire out of her throat. His claws dug in her shoulder's flesh, but the adrenaline helped with ignoring the pain a but, well she knew she will regret it later but right now all she wanted was to hurt the bastard. Jaws clamping down, harder on the shoulder she managed to watch between her fangs, she would aim to trash her head side to side, wanting to cause the most pain she was able, she wanted to give the man a bad memory of her, to keep for the rest of his fucking life.

Her claws also did their part by leaving bloodied trails of torn fresh on the man's shoulders. He went into the goal of making her fall. She aimed to lower her neck, to at least make it harder to reach, but she still felt his fangs nip on it. He placed himself in a hard to reach position, pushing down against her. She would attempt to throw her head and neck upwards attempting to hit him on the face, hopefully on his open jaws.

Blood briefly touched his tongue as his teeth nicked into the flesh of her neck, but he was unable to get a good hold and thus his teeth would clasp shut on air. A growl rumbled in his chest, low and deep, he wanted more than that. He wanted her to remember not to turn her back on a stranger- well on him mostly. His thoughts were momentarily distracted at the jarring sensation of her shaking her head, flesh still firmly clamped in her jaws. The following tugging sensation on his shoulder had his toes flexing, claws extending in a show of anger. As quickly as the jerking motion happened, it was over as she released her hold. Her head jerking back to try and hit him in the head. His own head would duck down, the motion briefly causing his chin to touch his neck, the quick action would cause her to graze the top of his brow, hard enough to leave a bruise.

Ronin would then attempt/u> to bite her exposed neck once again, head cocking to the side and reaching forward simultaneously to make the action a bit more comfortable. Hind legs shifted to brace his weight as he used both forelimbs to attempt to wrap around her, claws extended to dig in and hold. Due to bracing his weight, he would attempt to push into her once again, hopefully forcing her to hold both of their weight, or to crumple.
