She's a pretty little thing, so slight, so vulnerable. He both pitied and was intrigued by her. Perhaps Ransom knew, somewhere, deep down, that it was a lion he had hunted. But he doesn't give time to this thought, instead presses it down somewhere deep, hidden.

She didn't budge from her spot. Her foggy jewels staring blankly at @Ransom without really staring. If anyone wanted to know if she was listening they could look at the twitching of her ears. They were the clue to whether or not she was really listening and each time he spoke they twitched. Yes, I've come out here many times on my own. I've been blind my entire life but I'm not going to let it stop me. She would state, granted he did not need to know about the attack she had. The reason behind her scar covered legs. Though she couldn't see them she was very self aware of them. Vermeda Brook.. She was slightly hesitant on giving that information to him.

She has a strength about her that he can respect. It took a great deal of courage to venture out into the world, blind, vulnerable to every one and every thing. Brave. Perhaps that was something she always told herself from her attack. She still had nightmares of a shadow smelling of the sea and sand. It was terrifying and even though she didn't tell her mother about them, afraid that it would cause her mother more worry. She didn't want Nymeria to worry about her anymore than she had already done when Ygritte had been found. Those were memories she tried desperately to forget so to hear that someone though she was brave gave her a warm feeling. Thank you.. Her whisper danced in his ears, her name even more pleasant to him. Ygritte. He tested the word on his lips, wondering what it meant. His own name, unfortunately, was rather self explanatory.

Ransom smiled at the lioness even though he knew she would not be able to see him, a low thrum caught in his throat as he stepped forward a little, purposely pushing his large feet heavily into the earth so that she could hear him. His hum intended to give her a better perspective of his position as he aimed to draw up alongside @Ygritte and cautiously bump his side against her shoulder.

She could hear him speak her name and it sent a shiver down her spine. She didn't understand why. Many lions had said her name. Majority of them had been family and close friends, but not a stranger such as @Ransom. Whatever the case, Ygritte would mentally shrug it off as he would ask about helping her gather her herbs. Oh.. Um yes please. Be careful, the white weed is delicate. She would begin to explain. I only need the leaves and the flowers. Though she didn't know that the flowers were white but had learned of the name through learning from other's.

Ransom obeyed the instructions given by @Ygritte as he helped to collect up the plants that had scattered when he'd attacked her. The difference in their demeanour towards each other now verses only a little while previous was at extreme ends. The monster who had intended to eat her was now helping her so dutifully.

When they had gathered up the lost items, Ransom stepped back from the small lioness, watching her carefully. I should go, should probably find something a little less lion like to eat. His smile inflected in his words.

It was nice to meet you Ygritte. He doesn't stay to see her home, he's curious enough to, but the ghoulish nature that usually drove him had waned and he's well aware that he's still a stranger to her.

The giant turned away, letting his large paws take him homeward bound.

She could hear the smile. The joke in his words as he made the comment of going to find something to eat that wasn't a lion. A small chuckle came from her lips as she would finish making sure everything was put in her pouch neatly before nodding her head in his direction. I think that would be a good idea. She would tease him hesitantly before he spoke again. It was a pleasure to meet you to, Ransom and thank you for helping me. She would voice before shrugging her pouch back on her shoulders and turning back towards the direction she had came from towards the Brook. Not even thinking about Ransom helping her home. exit
