She would give Valkravn a nod of acknowledgement before she settled into a hunting crouch, waiting for their prey to reveal itself and for orders to be given. And there it would be, finally, a lone Dama gazelle that seemed to have found itself strayed from the rest of its herd. Icy gaze watched the brown and white gazelle, feeling her muscles tense and bunch up, ready to spring into action. And once it were time would she push off her hind legs and enter the chase.

The warrior would feel rather invigorated after their successful hunt, blood still pumping and adrenaline still coursing through her veins. She would look at the faces that had helped bring down the creature, and once she had caught her breath just enough to move around freely would she then grab a piece of their catch for herself before giving a nod of farewell to the general area before slipping back off. As she made her way toward a rather secluded area to eat would she stop once more every now and again, catching the sight and scent of a couple of plants and herbs she would be able to use to create poultices and concoctions, as well as being able to uproot some if she came back to the bog to add to the small herb garden she had started in the Brook by her den.

So many of the Fair Folk had joined him. It was quite overwhelming. It was almost like being back home, him surrounded by the Fair Folk and being judged. He had hoped that there would be more Changelings. But maybe this wasn't the place that all of the other Changelings had migrated to. Quill knew they had to be out there somewhere since they were all chase away from where they were born.

Even so they had all managed to come together to take down the horned animal. There wasn't exactly enough to go around, not from just a single animal. While Quill did want some of the meat he left off without any. He knew better than to take from the Fair Folk.

Quill Exits

The mud that laced her flesh and masked her scent begins to dry, flaking off in tiny clusters of dust but still serving it's purpose. With a final glance at the twisted land-bridge, Charax notes she must return sometime soon to investigate it further, continuing her cautious wander into the outward company of the two young males.

It is barely a moment later that a peculiar, dark-fleshed man joins the fray. He broods an unfamiliar air of... outré. It is a cautious step away from the slurring beast as he proceeds to smear plant-life beneath his tail, and Charax almost feels as though she's watching something she really, really shouldn't.

"I think he likes you," she knows his scent from home; the Wolfbron male's words coming just moments after @Hambone 's freakish groan of apparent greeting. Charcoal-lined ears pin, a wordless scowl directed not only to the stranger but a museless offhand of @Gauthier 's taunt.

Thankfully, the hunt soon ensues, and the team manage to fell a somewhat small creature given their number. Charax seeks to detach a lump of flesh from the nape and ear and drag it off somewhere away from the... peculiar masses.

A creature who prefers the straight-shooting business in every aspect of his life, he wastes little time in mingling among the others, and finds comfort that his misanthropy is shared. Turning his attentions back to the sifted thick of the bog, he joins the others as they encroach the woven paths of a gazelle herd - the musk of hide delectable. Before long the sight of them proves fortuitous; but when they catch wind of a scent, the flock of them startle and leave a less fortunate member to tangle themselves in the fog and vine.

A success made over the course of their prey; but it is older, and he knows that makes for tougher, gamier meat. Better than most small gains, but certainly no giraffe. He lets the youngest of the group celebrate their small meal, taking only a nice slice of round and leaving the rest to their devices.

She watches in silence as their meal makes itself known, her gaze watching it with a rather hungry stare. And as the others would move in would she follow suit, making herself useful in the hunt to take down their prey. And they would be successful. Valkravn would glance over all the lions that were gathered before her gaze settled onto Wanheda, watching as the chartreuse woman took her share and made a quick exit. The Viking would do the same, ripping off a small piece for herself as a snack of sorts for her to enjoy before she would also take her leave. As she made her way back to Vermeda would she stop at a clump of moss, noting the way it grew and its features, wondering if this would help in some way with wounds. She would make a mental note of where she could find this to come back to it in the future.

That's right @Charax, stare. Greasy gooey balls was only one of the many surprises he could offer. He could have more modestly applied the scent-nullifying goo, sure, but what would be the fun in that? Gods didn't give him a body to not show it off. He rasped an amused leer in her direction in response to the stranger male @Gauthier's comment. He didn't take his eyes from her, only flicking an ear toward her pridemate. If the guy was going to get possessive he would have done so already; so Hambone assumed the female was untaken, fair game. Not that he cared about games being fair when it came to women.

"G-g-gott-ta-ta cov-v-ver. Besht partsh." The parts of a lion that most struck his nose would broadcast scent strongest to prey as well. "Shmell... like... p-pretty... mosssss... ballss." Mud was just dirty water, but plants would disguise his scent better. He grabbed a clawful of moss, sorted the wet from the dry, and scattered the dry parts through his mane. More cover. There was lots of variety here to disguise his scent with. Perfect for an ambush predator. But with this many, it seemed overwhelming force would serve the day.

Good for them. Good for him. He got to participate, snapping at an out-thrown hoof and snapping it, and eventually wallowing in the kill with the others. Chest-deep in blood and bile, he took his luxurious share. He did like the finer things in life. He enjoyed it while others were more efficient, hoarding meat into their stomach as though they didn't even want to taste it, or skulking away little bits for later. He was eventually sated, though, and wandered off before the hyenas could come looking.
