One battle ends with Alaric falling, but no worse for wear (all things considered). Hazel’s attention snaps quickly to the far more life-threatening fight, and her once-patient comes out the victor. A breath escapes that she felt she’d been holding forever. Each have enough company that the druid feels no need to step in where she might be unwelcome; it’s enough to know Alaric still stands, and the other lioness has the support of her family. With a flick of her tail, Hazel turns to head back to the Oasis - her friend would need to be patched up once he came home, and she was sure to be the best at doing that if you asked her.

It sounded mean but she felt some kind of pleasure and relief that Roan was getting the upper hand. This intruder didnt have an idea of who he was fighting against, Roan was one of the best fighters she had ever seen, well apart from her Envy. He always was the number one in her life, the one she loved. @Avana was quick to answer. Not a clear answer but enough for her. So he was from the Oasis? Interesting to know, perhaps later she would try to learn more but this was enough for today. "I see," She smiled when @Roan defeated the usurper, saving their home as she trusted he would. She stood up, ready to go back to her den. Not before listening to Roan's thanks. She simply nodded, saying nothing while she as the secretive lioness she was disappear into the dark. exit Lotus

Perhaps she should have been afraid for her aunt's life. Hrefna sat rigid against Lysander, happy to see Roan well after successfully defending the pride and then focusing her attention on her own family's battle. Even as she watched Saga grapple to the death with the scarred man, despite how her heart pounded within her chest, she was not afraid. The Sigrún were strong and she had yet to witness any of them be defeated, so why should it be any different for her chimera aunt?

"Wow," she breathed despite herself as she watched her send the man plummeting to the earth, though the sound caught in her throat and turned into more of a cringe when Saga delivered the deadly blow. Hrefna shut her eyes quickly to try and spare herself the details.

"It's done," Hrefna concluded, her words meant for Lysander. By the time she looked for her family to say goodbye, it seemed they were already moving to assess commotion in the crowd. Frazzled and tired, she moved to try and nudge her betrothed in the direction of their hollows to decompress after the day's stressful events.

Around them, the crowd that had gathered began to thin. Magnus would keep his attention on those in his immediate vicinity - @Alizabeth, @Saga and poor fallen @Nero. He would begin to rouse thanks to @Avana - a woman affiliated with @Roan, judging by her scent - and as the boy roused Magnus took a step back, keen to give the yearling the room he'd need to orientate himself. "Yes," the brute rumbled in agreement, "let's leave." He was keen to get his family out of here - especially Saga, who no doubt had a target on her head now that she'd successfully slaughtered their leader.

The time to celebrate would come, but it was not right now.

He shifted his attention to @Voluspa as she addressed him, expression lightening just marginally to show his pride in his daughter and her proactiveness. Her willingness to help, just when help was needed. "Very good, Voluspa." Little did he knew there would be barely any time to breathe once they returned to the Lagoon, let alone rest and recuperate. As they left, he would fall into step with @Morrigan, his head inclining subtly as he processed her admission. It was heartening to know that, through it all, they would retain her as an ally. As a friend. "You do not know how appreciated that is, my friend," Magnus rumbled, offering the monochrome Greyflood a small smile.

For now, it was all he could muster.

Lysander listens attentively though his ruby gaze lingers between Saga's fight and the surrounding territory, shifting to better block @Hrefna's blind side with his own massive frame. Understood, he responded to @Magnus before his attention was shifted to a muscular black and white lioness, informing her of the same information. He shifted his own focus back to his Uncle and the man who threatened to once again usurp the Hodari from their throne, but Roan's fighting experience would quash the upstart and the brawl would end with the victorious Hodari shaking off the damage and approaching his own place.

As Magnus filled him in as well, Lysander watched as Saga and this enemy man fought, seeing it become increasingly apparent they weren't stopping. As his betrothed leaned in to say something to him discreetly, his jaw visibly clenched at her command, No promises, he muttered back. It hadn't happened yet, but Lysander seriously doubted he would control himself well if she were ever attacked in his presence. He didn't notice Hrefna look away as Saga once more proved Sigrun strength by ripping the life from the enemy brute via his throat. His own gaze was locked on the scene itself, memorizing the efficient way the woman had dealt the death blow, how quickly the Rike bled out.

A canny observer might see the weird... peace in Mugo's gaze as the more intense and arguable serious fight came to a bloody end. The red ruby of life flowed, and from the building cacophany of battle there was an abrupt and final stillness of it all. A resolution unarguable. Mugo exhaled and smiled just a bit from the edges of his lips. His chubby cheeks squished a little from the grin. Definitely because Roan had come out on top. The large black lion nodded his head to his company and said a brief goodbye. Was quite the show. He had lost nothing, and the sight would behold in his mind for days to come to recollect upon.

pity, she thought, as the man fell beneath the jaws of the sigrun, her nose wrinkling in a clear look of distaste at the outcome. the last thing that she wanted was for that family to revel in any more victories, but it would seem as though today they would be lucky once again. bright eyes flickered instinctively as the pride challenge also concluded, with the king maintaining his rule in the face of the opposition, despite the calamity that had bloomed on the sidelines. an audible click of the parisian’s tongue could be heard as she began slowly plucking herself from the spot in the shadows, offering a glance and a nod towards the bezras in her company. cassine supposed that, if nothing else, they had had a front row seat for the hottest gossip — but, having no more business here, she would promptly look to shift back down the hallways from which she had come, thoughts tumbling around within her skull as she went. exit.

Eventually the fight draws to a close, it seems the defending man claiming victor. Amongst the whispers she does not hear a name this time, at least not one she can be certain of. All that can be deciphered is that the challenger was a ruthless, wheaten man that wore hints of The Oasis.

With a sparing glance cast to the huge landmark of Obsidian's entrance and a final regard to the interesting black stones, Charax ensures she will remember such details for later. She leaves, quietly, departing on the outskirts of the crowds; her curiosity of the chaos sated.

Everything unfolds so quickly. Hunkered down in her place, she's silent along with Erna as they watch it all down below, and even more riveting than Alaric's battle is that of the woman who had maimed Erna boring down on Eulalia like a plague. She watches on with great intrigue, taking stock of the injuries they inflict upon one another on the off chance she has an opportunity to patch him up later. But as it drags on, and his other eye is blinded, it becomes quite obvious that the jarl is not leaving this scene alive. Unfortunate for him, and an ascension that Odhgrimm does not seem to want. She waits a little while longer after Erna has gone, her lips pursed and her ears slanted back against her skull. Truthfully, she never expected him to be the wildcard, but here they are. Uzma shakes her head before turning away, taking her time with leaving the area. She's spotted some frankincense, and ever the opportunist, the medic stops to wrench the entire plant from the ground, stuffing it into her satchel before she slinks down the slope and heads east. his attention pulls from the violent proceedings, stolen easily by the approach of @Ilarion. a quiet noise rumbles from his throat, delighted albeit distracted. certainly not all of it, he obliges, attention turning back to the fights at hand. one seems... tamer than the other, but no less serious. the idea of challenging and taking territory is not foreign to him but he does not recognize this as one of the pridelands -- but recognizes roan still, against the blonde man who'd been a member of he many hunting parties he'd taken part in. the other pair... well. that is vicious and bloody, a quarrel between strangers that goes from serious to deadly in one fell swoop. a shudder ripples across the brunette's flank as the male falls to the ground, dead. no one steps forward to take or claim him; no one cares enough, it seems, to help guide him to the other side. a cruel fate, worse than death. suddenly the rurik stands, unsettled, as he bumps his shoulder into his companion. wordlessly he seeks to take his leave, an odd taste in his mouth at the sight.
