Amidst the yowling and the yelping and the snarling might of twisted bodies and tangled teeth, there is some disappointment stirring in him as he watches, watches, and winces for the sheer lack of brutality. Iron is in the air - there it drips from a small cut, here it tinges the corner of one's lips. But there is not enough to sate the desolate, hungry being that he is. And so, his mouth watering, he runs his tongue across his fangs, having had his fill of spectatorship. "Well enough, brother." he grumbles with a sigh as certain fights draw to an end between contenders panting and bruised, but whole and hearted (if not hurt by another definition). Most are good sports, though he casts an amused eye over one in particular that scowls, seemingly chewed out of a victory. Gauthier is one for knowledge and the broadening of wisdom, but it is difficult for him to stead at the sidelines steeled. So he turns back against the path he has worn here, off to find another means to curb his appetite.

It was not long before chaos erupted, and Alaric watched with hungry eyes. He longed to jump in to the fray, to be a part of spilling the blood to water the thirsty pit, but he held himself in check. It was a tournament, for fun, and far be it from him to ruin such a thing. He watches, first, as the coordinator of the event jumps in to battle with the white woman. The Sigrun from the lagoon -- a woman who he loathes on basis of name alone. Roan and Calypso, then, both vaguely familiar faces but he cares little for the outcome. It does not surprise him, though, when the male emerges the victor, and he cannot help but smirk as the woman falls. No matter that it had been a casual fight -- he is pleased all the same. A male calls for an opponent that does not come, and then a woman goes head to head with a bear-like man. Instinctively Alaric roots for the male, for Kazimir, and he watches the fights with brief glances. He is irritated to see Saga fell her opponent, and flexes his claws against the earth with the urge to fight her himself. It would be a glorious and bloody battle, he was certain. He watches Roan defeat the female, and then the woman Morrigan defeat her opponent. A curl to his lips is the only indication of his displeasure. More fights errupt and he wonders how they will all end... -exit to watch more- +10 Observe a fight (Saga vs Arjana) +10 Observe a fight (Roan vs. Calypso) +10 Observe a fight (Morrigan vs Kazimir) |
Jafar had watched and waited long enough, many of the fights having closed out and finished with their winners and losers backing off respectfully. A part of him might have willed himself to get into the pit to test his own mettle but something had told him that he wasn't quite invited. That was fine if only for the matter that he had been able to spectate and learn from their moves and countermoves. Deliberating on if they made smart moves or dumb moves and if they were utilizing their size with the correct moveset. It left him wanting for more, of course, so he decided to take his leave and see if he could find someone at home to take him up on a friendly spar. exit jafar. |
Seraphiel moved back to the edge of the arena to take a seat and clean himself up slightly, not that he was particularly worried about his appearance.

The two women continued to battle it out, but Erna's gaze was solely on the chimera wench. She trails her movements and imagines that she was in Arjana's place. hat would she do? How would she swing? Where will she aim? Her teeth want nothing but to sink into the Sigrun's jugular and tear it out. To kill and maim the undeserving creature.
Saga rises victorious. Erna's eyes sweep onto Odhgrimm, who continues to battle oh so close to the enemy. Has her brother gone soft? Or perhaps he was pretending. She's seen enough. Erna slinked back into the shadows and towards their hideout.
Please be aware when threading with her she may or may not attack your character.

calypso knew she was done for, herself caving beneath the larger bulk of the male. with a step back she conceded, tipping her head in his direction. "well fought, aye?" because what more could she say? it was all for fun, and she cared little for the loss. well, that was a lie, but she wasn't going to dwell on it at least.
she bid her opponent farewell and turned her attention to the rest of the fights. she would stay until they were over and then make her way back to the cay, eager for a good nights rest.

Roan stepped back from his opponent when it became clear that he had won the fight. "Yeah, you, too." There didn't seem to be any hard feelings. It was all in good fun, right? The Hodari wasn't one to gloat, at least. With a firm nod given towards his opponent, the masked man would step out of the way while the rest of the fights finished up.
Roan lingered a while long, but when it didn't seem like the next round was going to happen anytime soon, the mauve lion decided to take his leave eventually. Maybe they would get called back together and the winners of the first round could be matched up again. For now, he was content to have participated at all in the first place. It was a nice idea and nice outlet, but the king still had other duties to attend to.
