October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

The fight would soon be over and even though it wasn’t as serious as some of the more recent fights she has had, Arjana was very much enjoying herself. A grunt escaped her throat as she felt the trickling of blood running down her cheek. Her face stung but she wasn’t a broken loser from it. Even if Saga ended up winning she would still win herself by getting to watch the fighters duel it out.

So when she felt Saga’s claws dig a little deeper into her flesh she cared little. She ushered the pain to the back of her mind as she attempted to smack the side of her opponent’s face. Arjana tried to aim the smack more for the side of the lioness’s nose and mouth mostly as a try to get her to let go of her own jaw. Rather or not the Lagoon Queen let go or not this fight was over. One of these stubborn babes would go on to the next round.

This is the start of how it all ever ends. They used to shout my name, now they whisper it.

⚓︎It was a different kind of dance when it was for fun. Calypso leaned in to that aspect of it, bouncing almost excitedly on her heels, keeping her balance centered. Her first strike lands true, but she does not seek to worsen it, allowing her paw to return to the ground just in time to take a half-step back. It is not enough, she is not quick enough, and she can feel the bruise that would form beneath the collision.

It is not enough to deter her for more than a moment, focusing on keeping her weight spreed evenly over all four paws before she lifts one again. This time she strikes with her right, attempting to give him a matching set of marks across his left side.

Focused on her retaliation she feels his teeth sink in to her left ear. The grip is not hard enough to be much more than irritating, and she uses the position of his head above hers to her advantage. It is not a fight that she would go for the throat with any seriousness, but would instead seek to tip her chin up just enough to try to clamp her teeth on to the bottom of his jaw. Of course she hopes that her sudden move will force him to release his grip on her ear at the same time and thus giving her a better chance of striking true.

the winter soldier

THE BLOOD ON MY TEETH BEGINS TO TASTE LIKE A POEM, LIKE RELIGION, LIKE THE WAY YOU LOOK AT ME

Amaroq is drawn to their brutality, their violence. The word out on the street was that a tournament had been talking place, and Amaroq, keen to watch the other fighters making make their move, lets his presence be known by pressing forward from the darkness of the undergrowth. His muscled limbs surge toward the scene of scripted chaos, his sleek, red fur glinting brazenly against the hard light, as the titan's wiry body unfurls in all their rugged, feral elegance. His cold, blue eyes will move over the faces gathered, but he doesn't recognise anyone. Finding a solitary place to view in silence, Amaroq recoils smoothly against the parched earth, his muscular haunches folding into an alert sphynx-position. He will observe them, quietly.

Ruby gaze swings to the woman who'd gathered them all together, folded ears twitching forward as he listens. The thing he's focused on are the pending fights, and he waits eagerly until he gets a target. The name means nothing to the rurik ( all these lions looked the same to him ), but he follows the ringleaders gaze to the awaiting lioness.

And he grins.

She offers a mild let's go then, and ears press down -- say less, morrigan. Hulking form swings into movement easily, seeking to eat up the distance between them with big, measured strides. There's excitement there too, eager for a fun little tussle -- it's been far too long since he got to stretch these particular muscles. Far, far too long.

If he successfully reaches her, then it's game on. Right before impact Kaz slows, shifting his weight to favor his front right leg, allowing him to reach out. Claws extended, Kaz attempts to claw the left side of her neck. In the same motion of shoving forward his jaws snap forward, hoping to gain a grasp on Morri's right shoulder. He wasn't looking to maim or mangle her, but certainly box her in. They're here for fun after all, and he intends to enjoy this.

This was meant to be a simple fight. Something for fun. Quick and easy with nothing on the line but food and bragging rights. Would be a shame to say, though, that Roan wouldn't mind having said bragging rights? The truth of the matter is, though, that half of them would be eliminated in this first round of fights. Roan just didn't want to go out that soon already. While his shoulder collides with the woman's chest just enough, the impact was not harsh enough to foresee much bruising there in his future. As his head was moving towards Calypso's left side, though, his own left shoulder was easily exposed, especially while so close to her front half now. The strike to his left shoulder was unavoidable, but tolerable all the same. The same quick sting of claws carved out a set of fine lines into his skin while bruising would surely follow later.

As Roan's teeth held onto the ear, he could feel his opponent's head moving in pursuit of her own target. There was not much to be had in a hold like this when real damage was not his intentions, so the mauve lion's jaws quickly parted the moment he could feel Calypso moving. He'd manage to move his head to his right side just enough to avoid a hold to his lower jaw though not without feeling the slicing of teeth against the lower ridge of his left side. A quick snarl erupted out of reflex once he felt the lacerations, but the Hodari managed to keep himself in check and would avoid retaliated too strongly in response. With his head now already moving to his right (and Calypso's left) Roan would attempt to launch his jaws at the left side of her head. Again, never with intention to do true harm, but just enough to prick the skin as he aimed to latch onto the upper part of her neck where the head and neck connected. At the same time, the mauve king would lift his front right paw and attempt to curl his paw around Calypso's left leg in pursuit to pull it from under her and disrupt her balance.

The striking brute obliges quickly, a gentleman to not leave a lady waiting long, and he seems just as happy for this as the shadow cloaked Queen. It would have been a real shame to start off with a lackluster fight. Mismatched eyes were gleaming as they met ruby, narrowing to slits when he began to move, dark ears pinning flat as she adjusted her stance in preparation.

He's bigger than her and she thinks it will likely hurt, but Morrigan had never much been one for dodging, so she wouldn't start now. As he charges he leans off of his full weight though and chooses to strike rather than ram. Nice moves, she thinks as she feels the claws of his right paw sink into the flesh of the left side of her neck. His head droops down and she feels his jaws begin to sink through the flesh of her right shoulder.

Unwilling to risk her balance against someone who had the upper hand in weight, Morrigan would attempt to only use her own open and waiting jaws this time, attempting to lunge for the area where his shoulder meets the neck on his right side, where the mane wasn't so thick.

his claws strike true -- five instead of six like his other paws. It's always a delightful sensation: the first slice, the first hint of blood. The red is dull against their fur, soaking easily from her shoulder to his paw. He does not seek to press much harder than he already has -- instead, attempting to return the offending appendage back to the ground. As he does, however, he attempts to keep his claws against her skin -- seeking to slice down as far as he can. The pressure behind the action is slight, still not wanting to cause untold damage.

His jaws, too, sink into her shoulder -- blood welling onto his tongue. A familiar tang even if he doesn't even know her name. Still, this is where she strikes -- her muzzle snapping forward towards his own shoulder. Even the extra fluff of his mane isn't enough to shield the skin there from her eager fangs and they sink in, easily. His muzzle twists up, a snarl of pain, but he leans into it. Literally. Rolling that shoulder forward, he attempts to slam it into her jaws. Nevermind that it'll probably hurt him, too, and kazimir grins -- eager delight churning in his chest.

The Greyflood's pulse pounds in her ears and the rest of the world has fallen away from the little dance floor she'd prepared for them. The rest of the tournament doesn't exist right now. She feels the massive claws sink no deeper as her jaws collide into his flesh, but he is not finished with the limb and her own skin slices open behind his descending limb.

With a shallow growl in her throat, she attempts to respond by trying to grip more tightly on her previously acquired hold on her opponent's shoulder, intending to try and make him retreat backwards. That is until a sudden sharp pain followed by a white light cracks through her jaw into her vision, immediately causing her grip to go slack.

Her right shoulder is suddenly freed of his grip but with her skull rocked she is barely able to put those two facts together to understand he has headbutted her, and it is she who attempts to stagger backwards instead, attempting to swing out wildly with her right claws as she does so, only buying time for the last of the lingering black spots to fade from her field of view should he try to take further advantage.

Karma was a bitch, and she'd finally had her own favorite move used against her. As her bi-colored gaze cleared her jaws would curl into a quick grin of appreciation of the younger man's talents. Nicely done.

Gaze was ultimately swift to gather the crowd in his sight seeing a few more individuals he recognized, including @Roan who was given a mirrored nod of his head. Pleased to see the guy out and about, though by no fault of his. Jafar was the one that didn't make a habit of being social. It was more or less the idea of watching some folks tear into each other, even just a spar, that enticed him. Luckily for him, he got a front row seat to watch said ally fight against another. A lioness (Calypso) that he had never seen before by no surprise and was equally as engaged into watching them duke it out. Meanwhile, trying his very best to look at Saga and her opponent. Quite invested in both of their fighting techniques given that he had fought Saga for Ecrosia Mire not so long ago and won but that didn't mean he would always win against her.

Another fight broke out between two others, males that he certainly did not recognize in the slightest but they were both relatively heavy and large males. Surely a good fight to see who could put up the biggest hit. @Kazimir pulling out against a lioness he didn't recognize but happy to watch his pride mate no matter if it were a win or a lose. With certainty obviousness he rooted for his own pride mate to come out on top if only to make Ecrosia look strong and well-built. Watching the fights was therapeutic, certainly. Allowing him to see the bigger picture as well as to utilize moves that he might not think to use in the midst of an impromptu battle. Not to mention it was good for pride relations that he show himself every once in a while.
