Ragnar was, in simple terms, pissed. His auntie saga was taking over the lagoon witch meant he was no longer a prince. And while he was happy for her- he couldn’t help but feel all woes me. He wasn’t happy about the fact he was losing his crown. It made him sad. But he didn’t want to plauge his siblings with all the little plans running around in his head, he doesn’t want to go to his parents either. None of them could do anything. None of them would understand.

She would though, surely she would. He wasn’t quite sure where he was going until his paws had found themselves just outside of the Andal borders. The young one smiled softly through his sadness. Dia would help him. They could both begin this spectacular plan swirling around in his little brain. They could do it together.

He let out a call for her, the small ex prince of doom and gloom and someone else’s lagoon awaited her. So calm. So patient. So really to begin a reign of power. He placed the rabbit he caught as an offering at his paws.

diantha's annoyed even though mama promises that she'll grow to love her new—her new—god she can't even say it. no way will those two be her siblings. stewing in her hatred and jealousy, diantha doesn't remember why she's outside until she sees @Ragnar's figure lingering near the border. her eyes linger on the dead rabbit that ragnar must've captured himself. she huffs, but gives her best big girl face as she walks toward him. for me? she inquires, though she somewhat knows it's for her. even if it's for ragnar himself, diantha will simply ask nicely.

The young boy nods. Always for you-consider it an offerin’ “ He said softly, giving her a small grin. But his eyes didn’t match his grin. They matched his pain and temper. Injustice- that what he’s been facing. But judging by the huff Ragnar’s ears barely caught, she wasn’t having the best day either. “Trouble in para-dice, princess?” He asked her, using a phrase he’d heard some grown up use at some point.

He may be mad and upset, but he’d ask about dia’s issues first. After all, this was her home. Just like with the rabbit- she would have to be put first.

Seneca knows that voice well enough by now -- and more than that, he knows that he should not be hearing it here, at a time like this. He very much doubts that the boy is unaware of the situation or the risk to his safety, and yet still he disobeys, throwing caution to the wind for something so trivial as a playdate. The sovereign sighs softly and makes for the direction of the border, but he does not approach with haste or within sight. Instead, he prowls through the thick underbrush that the Oasis has to offer, moving quietly amongst the bushes. When Ragnar and Diantha are within view and earshot, he sinks quietly onto his stomach, watching from a distance without yet making his presence known. seneca is hidden

a pleased smile crosses diantha's lips as she watch @Ragnar with an attentive look. of everyone she met, only two men have not let her down. ragnar is one of them. and though he's not quite a man yet, diantha doesn't care. she lacks the foresight to remember that they are still just kids. but, now, she realize she want to grow quicker so she and ragnar can leave their pride and have fun together. free from the adults and the nagging non-family; free to be them. even if it's just for one night, because diantha knows she won't make it far with her being a kid. and with those pesky new kids in her home, she'll have to be extra mindful. we have half-siblings diantha tells him, lips jutting out into a pout. dad's kids that we met during our first playdate. i hate them and my sisters hate them too. the latter is very much in the air for diantha hasn't had the chance to talk to victoria and septima yet. though, she suppose both mom and dad spoke to them about accepting the outsiders at some point too. just imagining them becoming royalties and getting their down dens near her parents make her feel jealous and not enough. we should kick them out when mom and dad aren't looking diantha says, tilting her head closer to ragnar so only he can hear.

His eyes widened at her words, a sudden sort of dread mixed with relief mixed with fear washed over him like the thrashing sea from a mighty storm. “My cousins, are they here as well then? If your half siblings were lagoon cubs? Perhaps they were brought here alongside them.” He asked, fully unaware that it was his cousins she spoke of. “Dia you have to keep them safe, you have to stay safe.” He whispered into her ear. “Don’t leave the Andal alone, promise? They’re are monsters in the whispers. I heard my dad talk about them.”

He’d left the lagoon alone, and he was a bad boy for it. Guilt already bubbled in his chest from the moment he left. But he had too, his cousins had disappeared and he had hoped they were here (blissfully unaware of any other prince, other then the lagoon and cove, but the latter was far too close to be a hiding place...)

“I shouldn’t be here” His voice so low it was hardly sound. “Things have gone wrong back home though... My cousin is dead. My father is still ill and has stepped down as king” They took his Vellen Darn crown! Brush over that. “No matter what you are doing here with- any of that... Stay safe, promise me you’ll stay safe?” he pleaded again. He could take whatever beating he’d be given for his disobedience, but he had to warn her. In reality she was the only friend he had outside of relatives and whenever he was with her he felt a warm bubbly feeling in his chest- that’s friendship right? In a few months after his second drowning he’d be grown, he wouldn’t have to fear the grown ups whispers of monsters, he’d be able to take them on.

diantha remembers that @Ragnar has lots and lots of family in the lagoon. she's wondering if her annoying half-siblings are related to him now. since they showed up during the play date then they must be, right? does that mean diantha's related to ragnar as well? her head hurts and she decides to let her frustration out by squeezing the rabbit under her fat paw. not enough to destroy it but just enough to feel an ounce of relief. pursing her lip, she looks at ragnar, half-hoping he is joking. if you say so... she says, to everything the boy said. she'll probably forget within the next few days as no one can stop her unless it's papa or mama. i hope your papa gets better diantha says, softly this time. she bet ragnar's papa wouldn't mind if his kids wander out.

An ear would flick as he listens to @Diantha, I hope your papa gets better. She offers and he nods assuredly, "He will." He says it with certainty, he has to. He thinks but doesn't mention as he watches Diantha closely. "I mean it Diantha, I want you to be safe. When I'm older I'll be able to protect us but for now.. just try to stay safe." He says it with a small smile before glancing around him curiously. "Well since I am here.. do you wanna show me around?" Always one to take advantage of a situation he rose from his haunches, offering a toothy smirk as he waited for her reply. He didn't want to think about everything that was going wrong he only wanted to think about what could be going right.

diantha takes what the boy said to heart, for now, anyway. she knows the preciousness of safety and being able to be protected. mama and papa keep her and her sister safe in their own way. and diantha is aware that sometimes, she can be a bit naughty when it comes to following orders. okay! she chirps, happy that now she has one more lion who can protect her. but you better be safe yourself or i'll drag your butt back myself - and that's a promise. she lets out a girlish giggle, but her last few words are serious. she doesn't vocally mention it, but she wants to be the only lion he'll ever swear to protect. a promise is a promise and she doesn't see ragnar saying he'll protect anyone else. siblings and other family members are an exception, of course. if a man cannot protect them then he will never be able to protect her. yeah, sure! diantha says, mood perking up even more. you should stay the night too, ok? with that said, she beckons him closer. if papa won't give permission, then diantha will. it's not like ragnar's here to destroy the pride.

He nodded his head when @Diantha suggested that he stay the night, it hadn't been a quick journey to get here so it made the most sense. And oddly enough he couldn't ignore the way his belly got warm at the thought of spending the night with the girl of his dreams. He offered her a cheeky grin, "Whatever you want." And it was true, whatever Diantha wanted from him she would get. She was his Queen; he would do everything in his power to make sure that she was safe and cared for. He followed dutifully behind her, excited to see everything that she had to show him.
