Well she could've delivered that news to Arkyn with better tact... She thought she'd done a good job with it, but when her cousin Eilwen piped up and bristled like Arkyn had, it made the yearling mentally pull into herself. Her cousins were not happy to find out their mother was injured. But in all honesty, if they had gone to see her more often (as she and her siblings had done...) this would not have been news to them. Everything had changed in such a short period of time. The war had had more ripple effects than she realized... Her cousins learning their mother was injured, and her own mom and siblings having to flee the only land they'd ever known... Not to mention Myrkvi essentially having a target on his back now cause of the Rike.

Mentally shaking herself, Cassandra sat at attention for Morrigan's upcoming announcements. There were a few who arrived that the yearling didn't know or who she wasn't familiar with, but they were a part of the Cove nonetheless she figured if her mother didn't make a huge fuss about the situation. A strange lioness appeared at the back, eyes locked on her mother at her side. Still somewhat on edge from the challenge for the Brook and the war, Cassandra felt the fur on the nape of her neck stand up and she tensed her muscles - ready to leap at the slightest wrong move by the stranger. But Morrigan's words would give her pause, it would seem she knew who the stranger lurking at the back was.

So she'd remain quiet and next to Morrigan as her mother began to speak, explaining the situation that had occurred at the Brook and what exactly had transpired. That the Rike had no relation to the man who challenged and beat Nymeria. She was a silent colored version of her mother at the Greyflood's side, quietly sitting without saying anything. It was only when Morrigan would speak about her claiming her aunt into the Cove that the yearling would visibly react. She tensed, and her head dropped slightly with her ears pushing back. She knew they'd never keep her aunt here against her will, but having her act of claiming her aunt told to everyone made her self conscious.

While she sat self-conscious for a few moments, she heard her aunt giving out promotions to members of the Cove that she wasn't super familiar with. However, it would be the introductions of Nazdravan (apparently her adopted son, and her new brother?) and Sokanon (apparently an aunt she didn't know existed). This was also when her mother announced she was expecting - interesting. Lots of new information to be gained at this meeting. She hung about for a few moments while Morrigan was approached by several members of the Cove, and she had no explanation for her young cousin as to what all had really transpired. He was still young - he and his sister both - and it wasn't likely they'd truly understand what was going on with the situation.

It was then her mother rose to her paws, calling for Arkyn and Eilwen to follow along with her. Cassandra almost missed the look thrown towards her and her other mother by the High Sovereign she was so distracted by her internal thoughts. But understanding her drift, the newly named Heiress followed along behind her mother and cousins. Talisa would chose to go with her aunt and younger sister, for obvious reasons, and Cassandra didn't blame her for it. Nymeria had been through a lot lately, as had Arden. Giving the trio a somewhat strained smile, the yearling took up the tail behind her young cousins to figure out what Morrigan had in mind.

SOMETIMES THE SILENCE GUIDES THE MIND

Arden's eyes flickered from each figure of her family, wiping her eyes and steeling herself. Her aunts words soothed her, drawing a breath and releasing it slow. She nodded towards her when she offered to go for a walk along the beach. That did sound like fun and the thought of doing so calmed her already. "Yes, please," she said quietly.

The young girl rose to her feet, glancing towards her mother to see if it would be okay to go. Though, she figured it would be. Arden liked to remain as dutiful for her mother as she could. However, it seemed she would be joining them which sparked a light in her eyes. She cast a final glance over the gathering lions, familiar and not, before turning herself to make her leave. There was a lot of information to process and truths to come to terms with. It would seem the world wasn't as placid and perfect as she assumed it was when she was growing up in her younger months. exit

THE WIND IN MY HAIR, IT SINGS MY SONG

Her attention quietly shifted between the different commotions from other members—err, well her family, she supposed—who were worried about their mother. It was a little odd to think that she had nieces and nephews, more than she would have thought to have had.

She was welcomed, though, which felt good. It felt like her searching was finally over and perhaps she could even find rest. When the meeting concluded itself she watched as others filed out. Sokanon stepped further into the crowd of dismissed lions. Morrigan would be stealing the cubs away for a chat, so she crossed over the threshold of interloper to member and noted to seek her out when she wasn't busy. For now she would take the time to explore her new home and secure herself a den site. exit.

Keir would give a nod to @Morrigan as she acknowledged his request, taking a step back to wait and see if anything else were to be spoken. But it would seem as though the meeting was drawing to a close and that the Queen had more pressing matters to deal with; he had seen how a few cubs had reacted to the news, and even though he wasn't one to be around cubs much, he could tell that they were the offspring from Avaneira. Eyes would glance around, giving everyone a quick look before he took back off toward his den. He would make his way to Morrigan soon enough to give her the news of his departure.
