Alva let out first a call for @Toblerone and then one for @Roan after all, she’d need the males approval for her cubs to stay, and toble needed to meet her sisters.
The huge cub quickly scampered around corners, recklessly using the sides of the caverns to shed speed. Her progress was marked by thumps and claw-screechy clicks. She came to an abrupt halt just around the corner from her mother, thinking that she would take a moment to make sure she was tidy and clean and as perfect as always - but as she had her wrist halfway to her face, tongue extended in mid-moistening motion, she smelled something entirely weird. She decided to take a raincheck on that bath of hers and strut imperiously into view, cobwebs and dust and all.
Her eyes widened, half-reflecting sunpools in the half-light. She had never seen cubs so little. They were dwarfed by the size of Alva's paws. Just one smack from mommy would make them behave. Toblerone stretched onto her tiptoes to see better, skull high and chin tucked and ears sideways and cautious. Awful delicate looking. She'd thought they'd be bigger. Big enough to play with and boss around. "What are their names?" she whispered, her tail swaying. As though if she spoke too loudly they might start screaming.

Alva smiled when Toblerone approached and she bent down to lick her toble’s cheek softly. “Húnn, she is a nice quiet baby, isn’t she.” Alva said softly, pointing to Húnn who was now sniffing Toblerone, the cubs head still planted to the ground. They were too little after all, to be running around and the lark yet. “and sólbjørn, look at her toble, she’s just like me isn’t she.” Alva said, rather proudly.
@Toblerone
Roan was a bit deeper than usual within the Hollow when the call of the Baroness reached his ears. These tunnels certainly had a way of broadcasting sounds from above as the mauve lion followed the call. By the time he found the pink lady, @Toblerone had already found her mother, but she wasn't the only child in attendance as the masked man's gaze settled on two tiny cubs at @Alva's side. So she had given birth, it would seem. "Congratulations, Alva," would be the king's first words as he neared the small family. Given the circumstances of his own birth, there was always a reminder in the back of his head of what could have gone wrong. From appearances, though, it seemed the pink woman was in good spirits and the children looked healthy as well. Still, it couldn't hurt to ask. "Are you all doing well?" If not, maybe he could fetch Faelyn or Avana for their assistance, but otherwise, he was happy to see knew life in the Hollow.
She leaned in under mommy's lick, purring at the affection and sniffing at the awkward movements of the cub as it tried to wiggle its nose back at her. "I hope she gets loud and fun." Maybe not loud all the time, but someone else to stir mischief would be great. It was hard not to get in trouble when you were the only one in the pride causing trouble! She leaned back and looked at the other one, noting its resemblance to @Alva. Toblerone hoped that she still looked like mommy more. She squinted. Markings were hard to see on new, swirled cub skin, and the dimness of the cavern made it worse.
Her ears perked back, at first instinctively and then indignantly as she recognized the footsteps. That guy. @Roan. The bad guy. She frowned but smoothed out her face as she turned around, trying to look all sparkly-fanged and gleeful. "They're strong like mommy!" Just so Roan knew. Mommy was strong. And deserved nice things. To give to her children.

Roan approached after Toblerone, and she offered him a bow of her head and a soft smile. After all, he was ruling her home quite well. Better then she had first thought. “Thank you.” She replied to him before nodding. “Yes I’m doing very well. I’ve already seen a healer. My fiancé even showed up though-“ She chuckled softly. “I do believe he’s had quite the shock. Two daughters. Still he is thrilled as was my sister.”
She was in good spirits after seeing bear alive and well. “He may join us later. He may have gone to the lagoon. I don’t know. I just said I’m bringing my girls here.” Back home. “I do hope I haven’t missed anything important since this morning.” She said with a soft smirk. After all, knowing her luck in the last few hours a bloody fire has started, we now have a boar infestation and the caverns are now flooding with lava.
Or hey, nothing at all happened!
They’re strong like her? That’s to be debated. But it’s fine, the more we skip over the years and very painful labour the better!
@Toblerone
@Roan
Roan smirked at @Toblerone's excitement. "I would expect no less," he chuckled along to the child's declaration that the newborns were as strong as their mother. Even if the mauve lion still didn't know @Alva that well to begin with, he had a decent first impression of her already, and thus would find it easy to believe that she might, indeed, be a strong lioness.
Returning his attention to the pink woman and her new brood, it calmed the king to hear that she had already been attended to by a healer. Not only that, but she had seen her betrothed as well. Roan had yet to learn much from his visit to the Lagoon if her fiance had followed the rest of the Sigrun to live beneath Magnus. At least Bear was accounted for, to say the very least. It was more than Roan could say of his own family when they were removed form their former home.
"That's great," he offered with a genuine grin upon his masked face. "I'm glad everyone is healthy and that your fiance was able to be there for you. I'm sure your daughters will make fine additions to the Hollow." It didn't need to be specifically asked if the children were allowed to join their mother's pride. It was no question in Roan's mind. Children this young needed to be with their mother, and so they would be welcomed with open arms to Obsidian. As for what Alva might have missed? Nothing came to mind. "Nah, you haven't missed anything. Though I have been thinking it's probably time for a pride meeting soon, now that we've all had a bit of time to settle. What do you think?" As his Baroness, Roan cared for Alva's opinion. He wasn't exactly the greatest when it came to pride meetings, often boring his members with lengthy explanations and useless words, but still, he knew it could help them all at least get to know each other and get everyone on the same page.
“A pride meeting with do us all good, it will give a chance for everyone to get their bearings. To grasp how you plan your reign.” Such serious talk from the grinning mother. “ After all @Roan , I have put complete faith in you, respect even. Anything you think will help this pride, I stand by. There will have to be a meeting sooner or later anyway.”
Roan would offer a smirk at @Alva's comment, not one to assume too much. The father's side did not make up a whole lion's potential, after all. Even if Roan was Hodari by name, he was just as much a Tolkien, just as much a Livius, a del Sol, a Cortada. It took more than just a single generation to forge a lion. "What are their names?" the mauve man would finally ask, needing to know how to address the newest members as they grew within the Hollow. Considering what their father's name was, though, he just hoped he could pronounce them.
Knowing that he hadn't done a whole lot of recruiting just yet, the Hodari agreed that the meeting would help everyone get to know how things were going to be run in Obsidian. Other than those who already knew him, or who he'd had a chance to talk to since they joined, there was still a couple lions who may not know what to expect out of him or how the Hollows were going to be moving forward. "Agreed. There haven't been too many new faces since those who joined after the challenge itself, but anyone who didn't already know me won't know what to expect. Plus, I think it's time some ranks get assigned so Obsidian has a better chance to grow." He couldn't do everything on his own, not that he hadn't noticed Alva pulling her weight as well. Even things had been rather quiet in the Hollow, Roan had still been keeping tabs on those who lived here.
it will be a brilliant opportunity for the pride. The sooner things get back to running like before, the better. Things have been quite slow, hopefully a meeting will allow everyone and everything to start running smoothly again.
