the land she was in felt like a labryinth. beyond the thickness of the trees was a shadow that beckoned her to move in. this was a dangerous idea, so many travelers became trapped after being enticed into the depths of a foreign land. they thought they would be able to see the other side in due time, but they only found death. and yet still, despite the warning instinctively felt underneath her skin, olympia pressed forward with little hesitation in her breast. she only had a mind for whatever sights and sounds she could soak in; and, the giddiness in exploring the plants here.

Summer
With the last of the rainfall seeming to have swept across the peninsula, summer days await! The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

olympia separated herself from her family the moment they stepped paw into the land. she knew nothing of what it was like or what it was called, but from here on, she knew this would be her home. better to make her kingdom here than cling onto the rot that was now a memory. she knew nothing of what beloved brother thought about this land. they made little conversation during the trip, as olympia's tendency to be pulled away kept her from him and her parents. as it was winter, she felt more blessed by the cold temperature than the summer days. the bliss was what kept her moving, though olympia always had a knack for wandering unless someone stopped her. she had no den to take care of and no patients here, but did those really matter now? the phaetus had no standing; they were nobodies in a land embroiled in politics and madness. it was better then, to familiarize herself with the layout and study the prides here before they made their move. olympia hoped that her family would do that before going for a kingdom.

For Renozuri, this place was nothing. After all, being blind, he was already quite lost at all times. In a manner of speaking. The scent of another had drawn him here; something particularly sweet. As such, the beast was always keen on following after something that intrigued him. The sound of her footsteps were clear, and Renozuri made no attempt to hide that he was nearby. It wouldn't do much good considering he had no idea how to hide. Tail flicked behind him idly as he let out a soft chuff, calling to the woman as she moved to enter the labyrinth. He had no idea, of course, what was in front of him - and even less idea that she was about to enter. "Pardon me, encantadora, but could you tell me where we are? I fear I am not familiar with this area." He murmurs, his voice a raspy baritone while his tongue still held that Hispanic accent.

her eyes swept the land for any signs of activity. there were no scents telling of a rogue group — and if there was, olympia would have to backtrack for a moment and find another way through. she wasn't stupid; a band of strong rogues who knew the terrain will rip her apart faster than she could breath. but when the land echoed back with silence, olympia decided to step further in. her eyes peered for plants she could tag and, upon laying down home, collect and maintain into something hers.
'a garden would be nice,' a voice from her past slipped through.
a small garden, yes, just enough for her to call her own. that would be a good start to her training as a medic. as it was, she wasn't the only one who was here after all. a male voice, thick and deep with age, slipped into her senses. she cupped her ears forth and turned to face the owner, who was indeed quite old. and yet the signs of his youthful beauty never faded. i've no clue, sorry sir she admitted, eyes faltering for a moment to stare at the abyss behind him. i, too, am new, and am looking for a way through. she kept her voice firm and collected. no need to divulge any extra information that can be vulnerabilities. but, looking at him, olympia was certain he had his weaknesses too — and not just from his wizened age. she could easily fight him if she must; she could even use the land to her advantage if she must run. but it was better if they could be temporary companions and help one another work their way out of this labyrinth. @Renozuri

She was a rogue. New. Alone. How perfect. Perhaps he was too quick to assume these things, but based on past experiences - a female was either mated, a mother, or a bitch. Or all three. It was very rare to find a young, deliciously fresh lioness. Ripe for breaking. Renozuri resisted the urge to slid his tongue along his teeth. Like a predator salivating over a meal, in fact, he had to swallow softly to control the building saliva within his hungry jaws. Tail flicked behind him slightly, and the beasts' head tilted to the side, "From what I can tell...the direction you are headed is empty." He murmurs, nose drifting to lift into the air. "It is lifeless. I am not familiar with this area, however, I know of a lush place you might appreciate better." A single brow arches in curiosity, but it was innocent - inviting. Thick muscle grew taut, his form tensing as he shifted before uncoiling in the most unintimidating manner he could muster.

—"i know of a lush place you might appreciate better. was what olympia heard, but she was also aware that, during her childhood, several adults warned her of the same kind of phrase, spoken by strangers. it was a lure, though sometimes it was meant to be innocent, a poor decision to keep children entertained. but often it was to cast the victim into danger by ways of kindness. and now there was a warning bell in there, rattling in the deep timbre causing olympia's skin to simmer with heat. she looked at the man, gauging some kind of reaction, but she couldn't see it on his face. something about the indirect gaze of his made her wonder if he had eye trouble. she ought to be scared, as the bell was still ringing inside her chest and the words of her elders rang clear and loud inside her head. blame it on her youth, but olympia didn't move away. ease and indifference settled onto her face, once contorted with uncertainty, before she realized she could take control of the situation. oh that would be so very nice she said, exotic accent laced with syllables of girlish voice. why don't you lead in the front and i'll follow? she moved, allowing the path ahead to open for the male. meanwhile, her eyes lingered upon the male's body language, muscles ready to move her away should he prove to be inhospitable. with a cheerful tone, a smile touched her lips as she said elders first.
