much to voluspa's relief, each passing day gave her an ounce more strength, and an ounce more comfort knowing that she was slowly, but surely, recovering from her baptism. she could already feel the chains of the lasting effects that it would have on her body, likely irreversible in the wake of such physical trauma, but she refused to stop improving, to whatever ends that this new 'normal' would be for her.

it was abruptly that she caught the scent of a hare upon the breeze, for it was enough to rouse her attention as the sigrun slunk beneath the shadows of the trees in hot pursuit. it was not much, but at least it was something -- maybe the younger cubs would even enjoy having a rabbit's foot or two to play with, in lieu of gnawing on each other. the least she could do was try, she supposed.

Six years/no perk/pride tier 2 A hare was not much for a pride as massive as the lagoon, but with winter fast approaching and a legitimate army of cubs to feed, Crixus knew every ounce of meat mattered. When he arrived it was on the coattails of a yearling that was undeniably one of the older Nadia cubs, or so he assumed. Black on black on black wasn't an incredibly common color scheme, so it didn't take much imagination to guess who her parents were. "Would you care for some help, miss?" the man offered, coming to linger a respectful distance from her side. Crixus wasn't going to take away the opportunity for a younger hunter to practice, but success was of the utmost importance overall.

it was quietly that she observed the hare, tail giving an idle twitch, before a low voice drew her attention away and back over her shoulder. dark eyes flashed quickly to the approaching shape of @crixues - an unknown figure, aside from the fact that he was also a member of the lagoon -, but it did not stop her head from giving a quick, slow nod of agreement to his words, appreciating the offer that he had laid forth. "sure, thank you." she only hoped that she would not embarrass herself in front of him -- or, even worse, that the two of them would come out of this empty handed! voluspa did not suspect that her siblings would let her live that down very easily, should she prove unable to catch so much as a measly rabbit.

thankfully, however, that would not be the case today. working together, it was swiftly that the pair managed to secure the small prey within their grasp, ending in a successful hunt, albeit the fact that it had been somewhat underwhelming in nature. "here, you can have it. i'll take any scraps to the cubs." voluspa said after a moment longer, chest rattling in a gulp of air, as she aimed to nudge the carcass towards the older brute. whether he accepted it or not, it was only then that she would settle beneath the shade of the nearest palm, awaiting for her time to depart exit.
