ooc; setting this after their thread with ulla, so being ~vague~

he leads his new girlfriend down the hall after their encounter with his mother, peering down at her with a smile. we can get you a den next to mine and my daughter's, he says, leading her towards his den. this one is mine. he'd chosen a den deep inside the tunnels, away from the rest of the pride, and so there are plenty of open dens around to choose from. eventually, i would like to introduce you to kapheira. artyom, too, which come to think of, bear still needs to introduce them to his daughter, too. the two know about each other, but they haven't met yet. how very criminal!

“There is a surprising lack of sunlight here.” Alva said, quickening her pace to keep up with the young Prince. Still she was listening intently. “I’m taking it that this sweet sounding kapheira is your daughter.” Alva said with a grin. “She sounds sweet.”

Looking towards her new mates den she decided that while the tunnels were a bit scary, she liked it. It all had charm. So Alva would fit right in, for she too-has charm. Perhaps not always the same type of charm that these hollows had but charm none the less. Charm was always a good thing.

OOC; being vague as to ira/bear exact relationship until completion of the proposal thread!

It is not my preference, but it does keep me cool in the summer. He says, grinning at @Alva. Her words, though, elicit a short chuckle. No, Kapheira - Ira - is my... partner. We've known each other for nearly a year. My daughter's name is Azélie. Ira is her mother. He snorts, shaking his head a little. Ira can be very sweet, but also... a little grumpy. I love her, though. My daughter is very sweet though, I think you'll like her.

Of course, perhaps Zélie will be meaner when she grows up, but for now she is gentle and sweet and Bear values it and his relationship with her. Poking his head into the den on the left of his, he notes that it is empty and gestures to Alva. What about this one? We can get you some nice furs to make a nest out of, and it's right next to mine so if you ever feel uneasy you can call out and I'll hear you right away.

She looked around the den and nodded. “Yes, I like it.” She agreed, looking around it, knowing Alva before they’d know it it would be looking gorgeous! Perhaps she could persuade Thana to help her decorate it.

“Please- my sister is quite literally the definition of grumpy, same way my dad is the definition of manipulative, bear Prince.” She laughed. “And I stayed in his pride for like, over two years, I can handle anything.” She said in regards to this IIra character.

“Azélie” She repeated his daughters name on her own tounge. “Yes, it sounds like a sweet name, I am not surprised!”

She reassures him, and states that she likes the den. He turns and lumbers towards his own den, flicking his nubby tail. I don't doubt your strength, he tells her, and although he is far larger than she, he doesn't doubt she's capable of putting him in his place should he get out of line at any point. He doesn't doubt Ira to be capable, either - for some reason, he seems to be attracted to women who can and will beat him up if he misbehaves. Snorting at himself, he ducks into his den.

Azélie doesn't appear to be home, and so he makes his way to the copious amount of extra furs he'd been hoarding for winter, for his daughter's nest. Here we go, he calls to @Alva, scooping them up and returning to her den. Placing them at her paws, he offers her a smile. I've got these spare, and we can always get you more. He steps back to offer her a chance to set her nest up any way she'd like, smiling gently.

“Perfect!” She purred, biting onto one of the largest them and dragging it to the corner before returning to drag the rest. It had been ages since she actually had furs, he and Thana had been mostly just making do with the dirt in the cave, nothing soft nor special. But the softness of the furs didn’t go unnoticed by her, by any means at all! It was now, as she looked around the den, that she almost wished she had kept the various gems and trinkets that father would so often bring her. To blind her and keep her on his side, may have been his true intentions behind the gifts. But they had been pretty.

We can get you some decorations soon, too, he offers, his voice soft. He imagines she might like to decorate things - his daughter certainly does, and he's mostly learning about lionesses through learning about his daughter. That, and what he knows of his mama. It doesn't really help him in romantic situations, but he does think it helps him understand women a little better, to some small extent. Maybe some crystals, or flowers. Women like flowers, right? And crystals? He squints a little, wondering what small trinkets he could find @Alva that might please her. He mostly brings Ira food and pelts, and the occasional herb that he finds and which he knows the function of, but Alva is a different person altogether. It's sort of intimidating, wondering what things to bring her as gifts.

“Yes!” Alva exclaimed, her eyes practically glowing with glee. “Crystals are perfect, exactly what it needs.” The cogs in her brain were working now and she soon had a few ideas on what she could do to decorate.

Back in her den in darkstone the entire thing was decorated well, for she didn’t lack in pretty things. On one wall however, she had feathers tied onto paw crafted ropes that were attached to the roof. It had been a rather cool contraption of hers, all these different types of feathers. Though it had taken a lot of collecting and looking and gifts. Still, perhaps this child of bear would help her?

“Would your daughter be interested in helping me find different types of feathers? While we were at it we’d no doubt find some gems or rare rock as well.” She said that last part as a note to herself.

I'm sure she'd be happy to help. I need to sit her down and explain things in an age appropriate way, and introduce the two of you, but - I think she'd like to help. She likes decorating things. She'd decorated their den with a great deal of shiny little trinkets she'd found here and there, and it always makes him happy to see them. Settling to his haunches, he offers @Alva a smile. I do hope you'll like it here, Alva. And your sister is always welcome to come and live with us, too. He remembers Alva had mentioned her sister wasn't much of one for prides, but perhaps seeing Alva thrive in a pride setting will change Thana's mind.

“Yes, of course.” She agreed when he spoke of having to talk to his daughter. It was nice to see a father care- actually care- about his child. Her own father abused or threw aside his young. He had no love for them. Yet bear seemed to care for his daughter greatly and to Alva that was a very good thing. Something she wished for any of her own children one day.

“I’ll ask her.” Alva stated. “But she won’t be happy with me, do not be surprised if you can hear her yells all the way over here. But I’ll ask because I love her and she is technically the only family I have.”
