The first time around, Furia hadn't noticed any of the symptoms quite so early. Jamil had always been such a good boy for absolutely no reason, even in utero. He hadn't given her any digestive issues or heartburn or nausea, so when she woke one morning and rushed from the den to get sick in a nearby bush.. well, she assumed she was fighting a flu. Perfect timing, really.

Furia grunted as she made her way to a stream, dropping onto her stomach gently as she lapped at the water. Don't tell her guys, she'll figure it out. One day.

He was not right in the head, that much was clear now after the war. Still, the dark man was doing everything he could to avoid his demons. Hoping a stroll might clear his head, Dero wandered along the stream that ran through the Mire. He hoped the sounds of its gentle current would ease his mind. But then, he happened upon his sister and all thoughts of serenity went out the window. "Eat a bad antelope?" the dark lion teased his rather green looking sibling as he came to sit next to @Furia. Dero was always the loving and supportive brother, right?

Eat a bad antelope?

HARDY-FUCKING-HAR, DERO.

Furia peeled herself off the ground, red mane a disastrous mess, and turned her icy gaze to stare at him cynically. "No, just.. saw your face or something," she pathetically retaliated, lifting a paw to gingerly hold her throbbing head. "An antelope would be amazing though. Or.. I don't know, a meerkat. A meerkat sounds amazing right now. Or both, I could eat both." How she was both starving and vomiting was bizarre, but Furia didn't think too much of it. She'd had weirder things happen, after all.

So sue the man, but he needed this sibling banter. Dero shined a toothy grin at his sister's quip in response before she went on to actually consider the thought of a meal. Did... Did she want him to go get her one? Oh, and a meerkat, too, apparently. But wait a minute, wasn't @Furia just tossing her cookies two seconds ago, and now she wanted two different meals? "Antelope and a meerkat? What, are you pregnant?" Dero threw the comment out in a completely non-serious manner. It was clearly intended as a joke to poke fun at his sister's unfortunate state. Little would he know how right he was. Not like that would be the crazy part, though since Furia was married and her husband was actually around now.

If ragging on each other meant @Dero was feeling better, she would gladly sit there and be his lightning rod of hate. She groaned and dramatically rolled onto her side, wishing it were possible to simply remove her throbbing brain from her skull and set it aside until it got its shit together. Naturally, she was stuck with it.. and her brother, it seemed. Furia glanced over at him as he teased her about pregnancy, but she didn't laugh. Instead, her eyes narrowed. "Is that a symptom of it? Because considering the week I just had," haaaa, sorry Dero, "yes, there's a chance I am."

Dero would find himself laughing alone, which only made his humor stop abruptly. Oh, wait, was she actually considering the comment. Before he could backtrack and apologize, assuming he had offended her somehow, @Furia said the grossest thing a sister could say to her brother. Considering the week I just had. Thank the spirits she stopped there or else Dero might be the one throwing up next. No, I don't want to know about your sex-capades, Furia. The Hodari patriarch needed the lion's equivalent of bleach to get that thought out of his head. When all was said and done, though, Furia admitted to the possibility of his joke being truthful. "That's great, Furia! But, uh, you've been pregnant before. Shouldn't you know the symptoms?" he smirked in retort. Did it not feel the same a second time?

Okay, well, his comment may not have been funny -- but the expression? That was funny. Furia snorted at the look of absolute terror and she wondered if he might presently be fearing for his life.. which would have been smart had she not been preoccupied otherwise. Dero went on to congratulate her and judge her all at once, a real brotherly move. The golden lioness huffed, shaking her head. "It was hard to tell what was a symptom and what was stress during the whole," she gestured vaguely. The whole ordeal from before that she didn't want to dwell on for too much longer.

"Is it weird I'm hoping this one gay guy is one of the fathers?"

Furia's eyes never left him, desperate to see his reaction to that.

The ebony lion was not amused to be his sister's entertainment, but he wouldn't sulk at getting laughed at for long. There were more important things to talk about now! When she described the circumstances of her first pregnancy, though, Dero was sorely reminded about what that particular time was like. She thought him dead for sure back then. They had lost their home. Yeah..... He wasn't keen on picking at that scab either, opting to simply nod in understanding. "Yeah.... I get it," he drawled with a bob of his head. Luckily, she had something else to completely side swipe him with.

There was so much to question about that one single statement. What gay guy? Why did she sleep with a gay guy? Was he really gay if she did? And what did she mean about one of the fathers? Dero's brows could not rise any higher as the shock mounted across his face. "What the fuck have you been doing, Furia? Does Actaeon know you've been sleeping around... and with...." Dero hesitated, cocking his head briefly in his utter confusion. "A gay guy? Did I hear that right?" Okay, where was Ashton Kutcher because surely @Furia was punking her brother, right?

Ah, shit, she couldn't help it. Furia absolutely cackled.. She hadn't laughed so hard in months and all it had taken was a single expression from her brother; oh, shit, how much she'd missed this. Not necessarily the whole pregnancy thing, but ragging on Dero and being ragged on in return.

"I told you after the week I've had, it's likely," she tittered, almost snorting as she tries to reign herself back in so she could properly explain.

"Okay, okay, but for real. It's hopefully a split litter between Tae and, uh, Aquila. The Aquila part is more of a surrogacy considering, y'know. He doesn't have a husband and after he almost died, well. He wants a family. I offered." She shrugged.

Dero's shocked expression quickly shifted into that of scowling at how utterly hysteric his sister was over his reaction to it all. Okay, @Furia. It's not that funny. Calm yo ass down, girl. The Hodari male was not amused, and then the golden brat had to go and start to mention the things again. Before Furia could start talking about 'the week' she had, Dero quickly threw up a paw to shush her from going any further. "Okay, okay. I got it!" he grumbled. "You had all the sex with all the guys." Let's not make it anymore awkward, okay?

Finally, though, Furia went on to better explain things. So this was on purpose, and more as a surrogacy deal than anything else. It was both interesting and confusing to the dark male, but to each their own. So long as both males were on board, he supposed it couldn't hurt anything. Either way, all the kids were Furia's, so all the kids would be nieces and nephews to Dero, and that's what mattered! "Okay..." the brother finally started to speak again, albeit very slowly. "Alright, that makes a little more sense." Still hella confusing, but makes sense.
