Coming once more to the pit the golden playboy warmed up for a fight. Getting himself loosened by jogging around the rim of the crater. His mane blew behind in as he created wind. He was hopping from ledge to ledge at one point as well working on maintaining his speed even while jumping. This had been a daily thing for him and he felt like he was getting faster.

Soon he felt he was rather loose. His muscles weren’t as tense and his heart was pumping it felt like he was just at the point where he wasn’t tired but excited and feeling good. Jumping down onto the floor of the arena he scanned it to see if there was anyone looking for an opponent.

The golden titan had taken to camping out nearby in recent weeks. This land was filled with the most traffic he could see, with consistent parties showing up to test their strength. It supplied Sol with the perfect opportunity to both survey the local population's values and to test his skills against them, and the sound of paw steps nearby warned him of someone approaching.
"You are looking for a fight?" Sol accused in booming tones, the words lacking emotion behind them besides curiosity. This was all the warning he gave before surging forward, attempting to approach the lion head-on with his left shoulder jutted to try and slam it against the center of his opponent's chest. He lifted his right forepaw with his claws extended and attempted to rake them harshly against the lion's right shoulder blade, leaning forward with his jaws parted as he tried to bite down upon the flesh of his nose.

Looking forward to being able to scrap with someone the golden playboy was wander the inner edge of the crater when a voice boomed into his ears. A question about looking to fight and he turned his head to look at the owner of the voice. “Why yes I …” Be started to answer but was cut off by the violent and quick moment of the other lion. “Come now killer what if I had been a lioness out looking to collect some of the many herbs that this crater grows?” He cooed as he lowered his ears back against his skull and narrowed his eyes. The fact that he wasn’t did mean that this fight was ok but what if he had been? Seems rash to attack without allowing an answer to be given.

Bracing himself he bent his back legs and used all his strength to keep himself off the ground as he felt the stranger’s shoulder make connect with his chest. The breath was knocked from him and he was surely going to get a nasty bruise from that. Shifting his weight he felt his shoulder he set on fire with pain as claws were raked across his but he was t just going to stand there and do nothing. Moving his head low he escaped the jaws of the larger male finding hold on his nose. As he moved his weight off his hind legs Newt attempted to shove his own shoulder (right) into Sol’s chest near where the chest and the neck meet. As he did that he also attempted to slam his head under Sol’s jaws. His hope was to make the other’s jaws sore and maybe make him bite his tongue if lucky. All the while he fought against the pain from his shoulder. The feel of the warm blood oozing down his leg made a growl escape his throat.

"You don't look it," Sol retorted with a grunt. Sure, it may have been possible for a case of mistaken identity, but he was practiced in the ways of the world and of war. He knew an instigator when he saw one and refused to let his honor be argued over by someone who did not even know him.
He grunted with satisfaction as he felt his claws land their mark, though the golden lion ducked out of the way of his vengeful bite. Instead, the lion surged upward and knocked his head violently against the bottom of Sol's jaws, causing them to clatter together and clench down painfully on the tender flesh of his tongue. He growled angrily as he felt the lion knock into the flesh of his neck, making Sol lift his front right paw once more to try and slash it down on his opponent's front left paw, trying to scratch at the limb while stepping on it.

“True, true.” He replied simply enough as the stranger retorted about his inquiry about what if he had been searching for herbs. “Though I am surprised to see another rogue. This pride lions are bloodthirsty.” He commented before focusing on the battle. It would seem that the pride lion’s aren’t the only bloodthirsty ones and if this stranger was going to give it his all so would Newt. Ears remained pinned on his skull and eyes narrowed to protect them an attack. He had put the top of his head rather close to Sol’s jaws after all, but was pleased when his head made contact with the other. Probably not the smartest move as now his head hurt, but hey Newt hadn’t been trying to do real damage to this stranger. He didn’t have a beef with him, but clearly the lion wished to do damage to the golden playboy.

Feeling claws in his flesh as his left paw is stomped of he let out a snarl. “Damn it tinkletoes.” He hissed as he attempted to lift his right paw and tried to dig his claws into the male’s right elbow in a downward motion.

They continued their bloodied dance, though Sol found no reason to continue speaking as this stranger did. They did not know each other's names, did not know anything of each other (though this lion guessed he was a rogue,) and as such he had nothing to convey to him other than through the power of his attacks.
The stomp of his toes seemed to get to the golden lion, as he let out a curse and lunged for Sol's elbow. He parted his lips in a breathy hiss as he attempted to knock his left shoulder forward into his opponent's chest once more, trying to use his titanic size to his advantage to put this battle to an end.

The stranger wasn’t very talkative after all and that was fine. Perhaps the golden playboy could get a few more words out of him after their fight concluded. After all Newt would like to know the name of this strong stoic handsome guy. Purple eyes narrowed as his ears hide plastered to his skull under his mohawk. His face wrinkled in a snarl at the hiss that escaped the other man. All was fair in love and war sweetheart. He thought to himself as he felt the large shoulder knock into his chest again. Once more the wind was knocked from his breast. Digging his hind claws into the hard earth he pushed against the ground toes spreading as he allowed his tail to reach out behind him in order to maintain his balance which was a bit wobbly even so. As this happened Newt attempted to reach up with his front right paw and attempted to smack the left side of the male’s lower face. He tried to aim mostly for the cheek or area where the cheek and neck met.
