She'd accepted Arcania's invitation readily, deeming it to be the best offer on the table. She'd have no plans on returning to the Rainforest, anyway, and after having caught wind that the place had fallen to ruins - again shortly afterward made Petra feel vindicated in her decision. Her awareness of her new surroundings, however, were... limited. She didn't even know who her leaders were. She'd found herself a den and gotten herself settled, but when it came to mingling with the rest of the pride? She'd been slacking, admittedly.

So why not make up for that with a little show of initiative?

No longer content to ignore the itch, the lilac woman rose from her quarters and set out a series of low summoning calls. They would be for the attention of anyone in the pride at this rate; those who ruled it, or anyone who simply wanted a show. Or, better yet, someone who wanted to scrap for it. It had been a while since she'd shed some blood, but a little rust would not deter her. She would find a clearing and make her stance within in, posture defensive and expression expectant.

Me! Me! Me! Feyre says as she bounds to where the challenger, a woman this time, is calling for a rank. She's older now, more closer to being a full year old than a baby. So the leader must let her fight, right? Feyre's small tail flops from right to left as she makes her way to where @Petra is. She doesn't have her stick with her because that'll be unfair to the challenger. The game will be over too soon. Even though a gentry sounds weird on her tongue, it's still nicer than being called a cub. She's not a cub anymore, she's a grown adult! Skidding to a stop right in front of Petra, Feyre puffs out her chest and looks up at her. Fight me! I wanna be a gentry member! ooc feel free to pp her and move feyre away <3

Parvati heard someone calling for a rank. Someone who wanted bloodshed for it. Parvati's lips curled primly, with a stiff sophisticated air that looked... not really that off on the rest of their poised, blank expression. Violence was wrong but tending the wounds of idiots surely wasn't. If only there was a way to mend their minds as well as bodies. Maybe Parvati would be the first to discover one.

The small silver lion approached directly with a distinct absence of body language. They weren't aware of how to signal they wanted a fight, or how to signal peaceful intentions. They just... walked. Green eyes looked over the dusk-lilac challenger @Petra. Not someone they had ever seen before but a deep sniff told of Cove belonging. She didn't seem to have any existing injuries. Parvati would have to see when she moved if there were any wounds lingering from wherever she had been before the Cove.

There was a very tiny cub @Feyre here as well. Very loud. Parvati squished ears back. "I can't fix you if she smacks you too hard. You'll probably die." Parvati wasn't sure if the cub was even allowed to challenge. Cubs wouldn't make very good ranked members. Maybe a non-violent cub would have been better than an adult who wanted to win the rank by fighting but this cub seemed violent.

Otherwise Parvati aimed to leave the cub be - not thinking to intervene - and took a soft seat on the sand nearby, waiting to see if there would be any blood and gore to study.

Sanson itched for challenging as well, he wanted to both prove himself and find a position where he could do a better job of protecting his family. He felt the adrenaline rushing withing his veins and he wanted to fight for a place in the ranks. He wasn't afraid of wounds or blood of his own, of he did how would he be able to defend his loved ones? No way. And thus he was looking for the right moment to settle a challenge but he hasn't gotten a good moment for it. But as a call from an unknown pride mate, he felt like it was his time as well. So as he approached, he took his own spot, far enough to not intervene with the other's challenge. He settled his defenses as himself called for whoever would fight him for this rank of Barony. He was a yearling but not a weakling.

She heard the calls and slipped silently across the sands of the Cove. Jewel smiled as she approached and found a place to settle along the edges of the pair challenging for ranks. The evon queen was proud of her pale son and wanted to be there to support him.

Jewel said nothing, simply letting her gaze wander over the pair as they waited for opponents. Standing before @Petra stood the child from the war and she frowned, wondering why the girl still hadn't learned manners. @Sansons form was good..stable and she turned her focus to the yearling in white to see what he knew.

That he had started taking his destiny in his own claws spoke for how strong a lion he would be and she wished she had done better as a mother in the beginning. But... without the weight of a crown, the twin tailed shadow knew she would do what she could to make up for it.

It was not quite what she'd anticipated - or desired, really - but she technically wasn't left standing alone in the arena. It was a child that approached. A small one, at that. She charged along, bold as brass, and Petra would not bother to conceal the disdain. "Too small," the lilac woman sneered, tilting her head and opting to ignore @Feyre in favour of watching the horizon. @Parvati's warning earnt a glib smirk. A young man came next, but instead of challenging her @Sanson would instead call out for a lesser title. His age and lack of experience, perhaps, had put him off of facing her. Petra would take that just fine - it kept a clearer path for her, though she had no doubt that she'd have no issues in subduing the brat if necessary. As she considered the prospect she smirked idly to herself, and only let down her guard once it became evident that none of the onlookers here were going to challenge her.

She watched the pair with a curious eye before noting how @Petra relaxed when her pridemates seemed uninterested in taking her up on the fight for a rank. Jewel knew that they would need to wait until the queens arrived to give the girl her rewards..but in the interim.

The ebon woman stood and took a step towards the girl, her gaze landing between the two warriors. "If either of you wish to fight regardless, to prove yourself to your queens, I will stand in place of your opponents." She wouldn't be vying for a rank, but the battle scarred cat knew she could put both would-be warriors to the test.

And, if she was to depend on these new ranked members to defend her family in a war, the ebon woman wanted to know they could fight. @Sanson, she hadn't yet seen in battle but knew the boy had spirit. The other? She knew nothing about.

I'm not small! You're just fat! Feyre says as she puffs up her chest even more to comical levels. Still, she insists on standing in front of @Petra as she watched the lion. Sure, she's not the biggest cub, but she's strong too. Petra looks like a wicked witch, even wickeder than @Jewel, who unbeknownst to Feyre is here. Regardless of what the challenger chooses, Feyre decides to stand in Petra's way. Suddenly, Feyre becomes defensive, opting that Petra is no longer good enough to be one of them. You're a mean witch and I'm gonna chase you out! Feyre wishes a big fish with gaping mouth will swallow the woman. In her dreams, she rides on it like an enchanted knight, pillaging through all her enemies. To reiterate her determination, she begins to stomp her feet.

Parvati watched the interplay between spitting, stunted cub and adult challenger, not realizing that another @Sanson was here until his unexpected voice startled their ears into flattening. Parvati's head sunk and whipped around. "Scary!" came a warning hiss, annoyed reproof. This fellow was also a yearling but was much larger. Apparently the asshole behavior expected of large males was quick to settle in.

Their dorsal mane-stripe prickled, unseen to themself, and they glared back at the conversation between tiny cub and confident challenger. It was true that the cub was too small so Parvati had been right which was good. However, the cub then accused @Petra of being too fat and Parvati just had to look for a second to confirm that she wasn't. "She's normal size. She's bigger because she's older. But you're small for your size so when you're her age you'll still be smaller. Maybe if you eat more it will help?" Parvati didn't know if there was anything they could do to help. Medics usually helped with injuries but there were so many other problems in the world to explore. Maybe there were plants that would make stunted cubs grow bigger. Or maybe whoever @Feyre had for parents should start force-feeding her.

Parvati wondered if the cub @Feyre would fight the larger lioness regardless. The cub seemed more determined than the dark lioness who also volunteered. "Well if you get hurt, I warned you that she can hurt you," Parvati shrugged. They didn't think this was a good idea but if the cub didn't want to take their advice, well. Maybe it would teach others to take Parvati's advice more often.
