September Y13
Fall
Though the air is still warm and the sun is bright, the summer is beginning to wane and, with it, the humidity has started to die down. It is a welcomed relief for the inhabitants of the jungle, as more moderate weather will mean that the rainforest will not feel quite as stifling, as well as those from the desert, who's early autumn will see calm winds and mild nights. For the rest of the peninsula, the change in seasons will be gradual, hinting towards the colder months that are soon to come.

Amaryllis' discovered prides
Lunar * Solar
She crossed with quiet grace into the border between one land and the next just as pre-dawn light began to give way to the first few touches of crimson, salmon and golden dawn light. Eclipse did not count days in favor of minding seasons, she did not know how long she had traveled nor through how many lands. The lioness had been on a near constant move longer than ever having stayed in any one place. This nomadic pattern was the normal by now, it was her life. Blessed with a certain simple beauty her hue and figure blended into her surroundings in the dim light far more than standing out. Clay and damp earthen hues of her coat complementing dew studded ground and rock as she proceeded deeper into the new territory. There is a pause as many scents drift into her path. Pawpints marking the ground of various ages. Was this place ... settled? Best to move along out of the vicinity.
Once more, she was passing across the sands that would lead into the world that they had chosen to settle in. Jewel knew that there would be many that in the coming days and weeks would likely filter through and across these very sands.. After all - had she and her own family not done the same mere weeks prior? The ebony lady paused as she spotted a form shifting across the pale grains and angled towards the lady.. or lord - depending on what they had with their manes..
"It is a beautiful morning..is it not?" The female glanced across the expanse of glimmering ocean to see the first streaks of color across the dark sky. Cerulean optics returned to the female before her, a smile touching her muzzle in a flash of white against ebony. "If..it's a home you're searching for, I can try to point you in the right direction?" Even if it wasn't Caladan, the female would do her best to help the other lioness get where it was she needed or wanted to go. @Eclipse |

The sound of the ocean waves, rhythmic and constant, began to lull her just slightly into a rhythm matching with her steps as time passed and no 'locals' arrived to harass. For some time. But after an unmeasured spanse a voice calls out to her over the rhythm, breaking into the routine she had fallen into. Steps come to a halt as full focus is drawn sharply to bare.
On a...black...lioness?
It still never failed to surprise, (and rare occasions shock depending on how unusual) how unique colored and marked lions became the farther she traveled. How did they hunt without being spotted by prey? How did ones like this survive the heat of the summer sun? Questions that had no answers but peeked her curiosity regardless.
"It is. A bit foggy. But that's likely just this time of year."when the older air temperature crossed with the warmer ocean water early in the morning. She offered a friendly smile, sucking in a little breath and stiffening just slightly as the mention of a home is brought forth. "Thankyou, but I'm more looking for my bearings, getting a grasp of what is locally around." she never stayed in one place for too long.

"I can hope that the fog will lift soon.. There is much of this land we have yet to explore." She smiled, settling to her haunches and drawing her tails around her feet. "Well.. this is the pass that opens into the valley to the north.. Once you get through the two mountains there.." She would tilt her head back towards the two peaks that stood guard over the pass.
"You will find the lands of Amaryllis.. Though I suppose this is also technically Amaryllis.." Jewel chuckled, the sound gentle as she laughed at herself more than at whatever might be amusing. "There are two prides right now, and a few lands that have become accessible to us.. And yet far more that I'm sure we've yet to see." @Eclipse |

ooc: Sorry for the wait, life ate me for a bit.

A little nod was given in agreement regarding the fog. The sooner the better. Hunting would be difficult. Hell, trying to move about without potentially stumbling into something dangerous would be difficult. Eclipse turned her head to look in the direction indicated as the black lioness gave her information, nodding again lightly to show she was listening and the details were appreciated.
"Two prides?" she spoke then turning her head so she could look at the nice stranger once more, subtilty requesting a little more information. And being quietly grateful only two existed she would need to avoid so far. "Oh, I'm sorry...I'm Eclipse. Thankyou for the information so far." a slight but honest smile offered in companion to the words.

[OOC: It's okay! Just gonna be some warping of timelines lmao..]
Jewel smiled at her as she spoke, questioning without questioning about more information. "A pride to the west of the pass is Obsidian Hollow.. And to the east is Caladan Cove. The cove is lead by a female, and the Hollow is lead by a male. " "I'm Jewel Khulani.. And you're most welcome... I have some information on the two prides but I have a lot more information about Caladan than I do of the Hollow." The ebony sovereign shifted slightly and twisted her tail near her haunches. @Eclipse |
