Claw made his way to the Cove from the claiming-grounds. He had fallen behind @Seraphiel only a short time ago, but now he was no longer in sight. Claw continued on in the same direction, following the other male's scent. He wasn't worried about losing his way. He would find the entrance to the Pride sooner or later. After all, he thought he might be able to catch whiffs of their border from where he was now. He knew it to be the cove, as it was the same perfume that his guide wore upon his own fur. This was the place.

Claw released a chuff or two from where he was as he continued walking. He knew how this worked. He'd need to speak to the King... or whatever they called their Pride Leaders here in this new land.

He had taken his time away from the Passage to give his other ranked pride members time to go out and do the recruiting themselves. Drakon didn't want to hog all of the recruiting. Anyways, with that being said, Drakon had taken to patrolling his borders from time to time and this was one of those times granted Drakon hadn't really began patrolling or remarking the borders whenever he got a call from those said borders. Ears twisting on top of his head as Drakon would turn and start going in that direction, fiery jewels spotting the man and moving towards him in silence before he was close enough to talk. "How can I help you?"

Oh boy, a summon. Hecuba was feeling particularly lazy that afternoon and wasn't entirely enthralled with the idea of having to move, but she supposed it would be inappropriate to invite whoever it was back to the royal den. There wasn't anything special about their den, or course, as they hadn't gone and booted Jewel and Vysemala out of theirs. Being royalty didn't mean they had to have the largest or fanciest den, it only mattered about the inhabitants inside. It fit their lives rather well to remain where they were, particularly considering they didn't want to alienate the couple.

"Hello there," she greeted as she slipped up alongside her husband, seafoam eyes studying the stranger intently.

He wasn't entirely surprised the other male had fallen behind. It was just one of those things that happened when others were following him. He would have taken a more leisurely pace, but he also knew the other could track him, and that he might want to explore the lands around the pride before coming to the border.

Naturally, when he heard the man call for Hecuba and Drakon, he returned to the border to catch their little talk, eager to hear what they would say about him. Seraphiel thought he had made a good choice in inviting the man, but perhaps they would see differently.

"Claw," he rumbled in greeting as he drew up on Hecuba's free side. Let them talk it out, he thought.

A male and female answered his call from the border, along with his guide who had decided to double back out of curiosity. @Seraphiel rumbled his name and Claw dipped his head in acknowledgement. He then turned his soft mauve gaze to the pair that he assumed were the Leaders of this pride. His stance was tall, confident and alert, though calm and collected. The tip of his tail waved casually at his hocks.

"Greetings to you both. I am Claw. Seraphiel has guided me to your borders from the recruiting grounds. I wish to be a member, and had the desire to meet the ruling class face to face. I assume that is you?"

He was not certain, but they did hold themselves as though they were royalty. They had that aire of strength and confidence that one usually seems to portray when in a position of power. Even with the assumption, since he did not know for sure that he was speaking to the leaders, he reserved his respectful bow for when they revealed who they truly were.

He did not wish to seem naïve after all, the first lion to approach a stranger at the border is not usually the head honcho.

@Seraphiel showed up shortly after his wife did and Drakon would glance to them both with a dip of his head before returning his fiery gaze towards @Claw. Of course we are welcomed to join us here. You already have if Seraphiel is the one that welcomed you. He would acknowledge his heirs efforts in recruiting where he couldn't. You would be correct. I am Drakon and this is my wife @Hecuba. We rule the Cove. He would state. It was true not normally did the head honcho be the one to welcome you but Drakon made it a habit to be one of the first.

Claw dipped his head at the Sovereign's answer.

"It is an honor to meet you both, truly. Thank you for your warm welcome. @Seraphiel, you have been most welcoming as well. I thank you...
As for now, I must turn in. I assume there might be an empty den awaiting my arrival. I'd like to start making it home."

With that, Claw dipped his head again in farewell, padding away from the rest slowly yet with a confident stride. It was the beginning of his new life and he was eager to see what the future might hold for him here.
