Ever since Gwyn's reveal the beast had wanted to be alone just him and his thought and more importantly his memories. He also had to try to decide how much he would tell people or perhaps not at all. Maybe he did not even want to believe it all despite having no other explantions for knowing things he shouldn't know or having feelings for those he had never met.

These new lands were teeming with new faces and not willing to bump into a mass of lions and awkwardly trying to socalise against his will the former barbarian King decided instead to swim to the isolated cay. At last he felt at peace and free, if only for a while.

His dark body was a large contrast against the bright sands as he lay flat down across the beach taking in the warm rays of the sun. All the while contemplating whether he should embrace his past or ignore it.

Perhaps it was foolish to toss herself into waves of an unknown sea, but that was her life. She tended to hurl herself into situations where the undertow could easily sweep her under and drown her beneath the surface, didn't she? This was no exception, but it was the most alive she'd felt in quite some time regardless. Fighting for her life among the waves was always a challenge, and a challenge she welcome with her entire being.

It wasn't until she washed up on shore moments later that a smile finally broke across her face, although it quickly evaporated when she spotted someone else basking nearby. Welp. Delightful. Hecuba called to the man politely with no intention on actual conversation, though she had to admit she was intrigued by his brooding. Brooding men were always fascinating.

Broading was a gross understatement as Rythian lay on the sand having a full on existential crisis. Laying face first in the sand with his right forepaw flopped over the top of his skull. It felt like the earth was swallowing him up so he might as well look the part as well.

The soft call of the lionesses greeting caught him a little offguard. At first he was not sure if it was just something else in his head or was something that was actually happening here and now. Lifting his muzzle up and allowing his forelimb to flop back to the ground - sand covered his cream hued maw stuck to his fur. Bright purple eyes looking over to Hecuba where he would just stare at first trying to come to terms with what was reality. "Hey". Rythian would finally mutter back trying to act as normal as possible - as if nothing she had seen so far had happened.

Had Hecuba noticed he was smashing his face into the ground, she may have considered taking a wide sweep around him instead. Her life was complicated enough without any crazies in it, thank you very much. Unfortunately, by the time she finally noticed him snorting the sand, it was too late to rescind her greeting. Lovely. She watched him with a curious gaze as he seemed to put himself back into order, though whether or not it was just an act was beyond her. If it was, wonderful, keep it up until she'd left, boyo. “Are you alright?” her brows knitted together in a display of I know you ain’t, but she wasn’t going to press if he didn’t going to talk. @Rythian
