There was an undeniable excitement in the air as Talisa sprinted towards the Mountain at the center of their land. A perfect middle ground between the Brook and the Hollow, as she called out to her beloved beauty in the hopes that she could make this trip or in the very least was nearby. Otherwise this was a stupid attempt and she'd just have to travel all the way to the Hollow but she was hoping to catch @Morrigan on a good day. After all, it wasn't as though they spent a whole lot of time apart these days.

Today was about so much more, though. Talisa had chosen this spot in particular because it had the energy that permeated the air and the ground. There would be no denying Maua this day and she was really feeling the energy of Maua within her. The confidence in herself that she was absolutely worthy of all the things that she desired just as Nymeria had predicted. Today was a day of information and news, and of great feats. A moment that would be as unforgettable as when she had officially proposed to the Lead Warrior. Talisa felt scared but also prepared for what was to come. With the Greyflood by her side she was positive most of it would fall away but they could reach all of those nasty feelings when it got there.

She'd been doing what she could to remain focused on anything other than her beautiful new wife, finding herself still lost in the honeymoon phase as it were. Today she'd been out scouting, half-hoping to catch Magnus at the Pit as she still wished to tell him of her impending nuptials, especially as she had no actual family in Amaryllis that she knew of to invite. She wasn't upset when she heard a different familiar call on the wind and her magpie colored limbs carried her swiftly over the distance between between herself and @Talisa.

The air became cooler the higher up she claimed and she thanked the native's grace that she thought to find somewhere both beautiful and sheltered from the sweltering late summer heat. She sowed her gait to a trot as the outline of her aphrodite was cut out before her against the skyline. "Hello, my love," she greeted as she came within touching distance, eager to place a kiss to the lovely Valour's muzzle. Talisa seemed abuzz with some sort of energy today, so she refrained from saying anything else, waiting to hear what she had called so eagerly for.

With eyes closed as she felt the steady breeze from up high and the energy that radiating from the Peak's core, she could feel Maua spiraling through her. The spirit of Maua lived within her but when she was present and near the Grotto, she felt the Deity's presence even deeper. So with @Morrigan shattering the silence (unintentionally, of course) Talisa easily snapped out of it and ran towards her beloved wife; the thought never once becoming less special the more she thought or said it. I have such good news !! she practically screeched, dancing on her paws as she wiggled her hind end like a child who got permission to go on a play date. In fact she was struggling to keep it inside her and knew that if she waited any longer she might just flop to the ground. My sister made me Heiress! Wasn't that just the coolest thing ever?! She was so important to her sister and the Brook and to her family and kin that she thought it was important that she of all Brook members be the Heiress should anything happen! Not that Talisa wanted bad things to happen but... she was excited about having more responsibility with her kin.

Morrigan wasn't sure she'd ever seen Talisa quite to giddy, but she was happy to shre in her joy, even if she energy the Valour woman approached her with had her expression looking a bit bewildered, though still fond. Her expression broke into a happy grin when @Talisa revealed what her good news was. It was no surprise to Morrigan at all of course, though she was sure Nymeria had no shortage of good candidates. The Valkyrie was obviously a bit biased when it came to her beautiful and talented wife, but Talisa truly was devoted to her people, and would be an excellent right hand to Nymeria. "Congratulations! I know you'll be brilliant. You already are." Her words were spoke with a steely confidence as she moved to embrace the new Vermedan Heiress. Talisa deserved all the blessings in the world, and Morrigan was ever grateful to Maua for showering her with them.

It had never occurred to her that her energy might be a little too over the top. That it might not be met with the same but she imagined that it was rightfully placed. Being called to be the Heiress of Vermeda Brook was an astounding offer that she felt so honored by and Nymeria had told her how and why she deserved the position. That it was her kind heart that would lead them forward and her interest in bridging the two different groups of lions together because they weren't any different from each other. One had simply gotten here a few generations prior but Maua had put them here for a reason and Talisa wanted to be an ambassador to her Creator. Do you think... it's too soon to ask Maua for our children? she asked nervously, knowing that she wanted these cubs but now concerned that it would come to early after being promoted. That they should get their wedding first and then call upon having kids but Talisa was impatient. Too impatient to wait for children, too impatient to see Maua again and too impatient to wait any longer than she had to make the most of her mateship with @Morrigan.

Morrigan, though she had spent much time lately with @Talisa, was used to the stoic facades of her own pride mates. Fellow warriors and serious hunters who seldom showed any type of excitement outside of outright violence. Talisa was absolutely radiant as sunshine but in a softer way, and Morrigan was all to happy to bask in her glow. The question still caught her off guard though, still processing her happiness that Talisa had earned herself a serious leadership position, but her moment of shock was brief before she gave it a few heartbeats of serious consideration, knowing that her wife would expect her to think seriously about this, no matter how much her chaotic heart wished to immediately jump head first. Finally her face softened entirely and a deep devotion burned in her mismatched eyes, "No, I don't. I would be happy to finally meet Maua, should They bless us with Their presence." The idea of the great creator actually appearing her though was sending chills down Morrigan's spine, though mostly of excitement.

Talisa was certainly an overthinker and didn't know the best course of action for this nor did she understand where in the timeline things best fit. Worried over what family still might think while also not caring - it was a really tough mindset to be in. It was like she she had her front paws on one cliff face and her back on another with raging water beneath her and she didn't know which way to push. Thankfully @Morrigan - sweet beloved fighter - didn't believe that it was too early or the wrong time to call for Maua and request for their goals. A part of her longed to double-check with the Greyflood that she was prepared for children but if she didn't, then they wouldn't be here right? They will. Borderline on They have to; Talisa wasn't sure she could cope with being ignored by their Creator.

Okay okay. We'll do this together. It might encourage their Creator all the more to come to them and assist them with their conceiving troubles. Talisa took a long sigh and prepared herself as she readied her mental state before taking a seat and assuming that her wife would do the same. Bowing her head and knowing that @Morrigan knew well enough to repeat what was said.

Talisa was going to do this as right as she could. Wanting to be thorough in her respect and love for their Creator so that they saw how serious and smitten the pair were. That wasn't to say that she thought that they'd be turned away but this was a very big moment that she did not want to miss.

Even as she'd said the words to @Talisa, agreeing to this very permanent part of their future together, her heart began to hammer. She could find nothing negative in the mess of emotions she currently felt though. Whatever challenges she might have once feared from motherhood, she could no longer imagine with Talisa by her side, potentially even taking the more burdensome half of the work. It was the braver half, too, and Morrigan wouldn't have rejected it, she just mildly disliked the idea of being so responsible for the safety of their children, especially given that recent surprise visit of an elephant on her own doorstep.

These were all thoughts she kept to herself, though she wouldn't mind sharing them with Maua of course. The idea that the great creator might actually appear to them here was nearly overwhelming and Morrigan, having no prior experience, was afraid she might actually burst into stardust if she was filled with anymore emotion. She fell into her prayer posture, always content to follow Talisa's lead, repeating the prayer fervently, imbuing her own dreams into what they asked for,

"Your holy image.
Guide me in all my choices so that this
conception, my pregnancy and my baby's birth
are in line with Your will."

She repeated the words with strength in her voice, waiting for Talisa to continue.

Today was going to be a super amazing day that would not be forgotten. A moment in the history of everything and subtly, she wished that some of her family was here to bear witness to this. Also casually reminding herself that she should probably keep it pretty simple even if she wanted to ask @Maua a million and one questions. Now was not the time but she hoped that they were doing alright by Them so far.

Heavenly Creator,
hear this prayer of my heart, mind and spirit.
Amen.

Now, Talisa felt silent as she exhaled slowly and opened her lilac eyes. Wandering the area around them as she scooted a little closer to @Morrigan. The comfort of her there was settling the nerves as they waited for the one that she had been sharing with her Morrigan since day one.

She was really too filled with nerves and excitement to have one continuous thought, but she did her very best to try and settle on focusing carefully on the individual words of the prayer, trying to make up for her lack of knowledge of @Maua prior to now in the sincerity of her prayer and emotions,

"Heavenly Creator,
hear this prayer of my heart, mind and spirit.
Amen."

The Valkyrie took a deep breath before opening her mismatched eyes, happy to be closer now to @Talisa as they waited together, her heart still hammering in her chest. There was a thought in her mind that this moment had been what everything had led to since they met. If Maua did indeed grace the pair with Their great presence, it would certainly solidify Morrigan's thoughts that she truly did belong here.
