Why on earth did he decide going to the Andal Oasis was a good idea? Was it simply because Seraphiel had mentioned that he had once spent a lot of time here? Well, yes actually. And although the sun made it a bit annoying for him to travel, he quickly adjusted by holding a rather large fern like leaf to shade his back and head. Being albino meant the sun almost physically hurt him if it was bright enough, but he had found multiple ways around it. This was just one tactic.

Approaching the borders he would pause here with his fern across his head, unaware how odd he must look to any who walked past. He would wait patiently unsure of what to do next, having never done this before. Then he saw a lizard doing a funny walk in front of him before it stopped to stare up at the what it could only assume was a weird tree?

There was a tree on their borders. Or...something that wanted to be a tree? Zaahir had spotted the speck of green and white in the distance, but had not left his perch (or lazy sprawl) atop one of the boulders that littered the area until the shape resolved itself into something lion-like. Then, he slid off the rock and made his way to the edge of the territory to go greet the stranger.

Upon reaching the border, he'd plop his butt down in the sand and cock his head at the stranger. White was pretty good in the desert, but this one showed clear signs of albanisim which was...much less good in the desert. "You sure you're in the right place?" There was no malice, only curiosity as his pale gaze lingered briefly on the very large bit of greenery he was using as shade. He'd find the guy's face again soon enough, though, "You here to visit someone? Or," he perked up, then, as another idea occurred, "maybe trying to join up?"

Jazz thankfully did not take long for someone to appear, someone was approaching him and squinting against the bright sun of the desert he soon found their appearance a bit more clearer. But only slightly. Because what approached him at first appeared to be a rather.. well muscular lioness? Jazz struggled at first to see if this was just a young male? Either way, it was no big deal to him. After all he had grown up under Morrigan's reign.

But then the other spoke and he felt his ears flick back then forward in confusion. Oh, this was a … male?! A memory suddenly clicked of his dad telling him stories of a lion named Caligula, apparently their uncle though they had never met. And he too had lacked a mane. Perhaps out here that wasn’t a bad thing.

Smiling around the stem he carefully adjusted it to his feet, moving into a laying position to do so. Thus fitting his massive bulk beneath the ferns leaf. “Sorry about that,” he chuckled and then nodded his head. “Yeah, I am striking out on my own and thought I would start here” he smiled warmly, hiding the alliance he had to Morrigan and her family. Or that he was once a summit lion.

It wasn’t something that really needed to be disclosed on first meetings, did it? “Im Jazz Kriger-Latsym,” he added with grin that kind of slid a bit sideways like a charming half smile. A trademark of his father Bronx.

Zaahir was accustomed to the kind of confusion that played across the other's face, and had found it was usually best to just let it resolve itself. Others would make their own assumptions, and sometimes he'd have to correct them, but this guy didn't blurt out any awkward questions or look at him like something was wrong with him. Earned him a couple points.

Striking out on his own and his first choice was the place that would probably be hardest to live in? Okay. Maybe he was just the type who liked a challenge, or maybe he was just looking for the most drastic change possible. He couldn't guess where this @Jazz had come from, originally. "Zaahir Samarra," since they were adding surnames and all that, apparently. His didn't hold any importance or weight in Amaryllis (or, really, anywhere) so it was usually just left off. "If you're really sure you wanna try Andal, you're welcome," he lifted one shoulder in a casual shrug. "There's more shade around the water, but I dunno if we have any plants big enough to cover you like that one." Maybe some old palm fronds?

His gaze drifted back to the giant leaf, considering, "I could probably throw together a salve to keep the sun off spots where your fur's thinner." Something for his nose and ears, at the very least. Of course, there was always the option of just coating himself in mud every day, or keeping to the shade while the sun was out.
