Getting used to life like this was not something the small lioness could do, she was tired of it, she was done. She could not go on raising her children as if their parents were separated and then caught in the middle, the cubs were old enough now she did not have to dote upon them. Her head lifted on her legs and she stood up, shaking out her coat before exiting what was supposed to be the family den, a scowl on her face at the thought.

Her lips parted as she chuffed for @Vladizmir, her chin lifted a bit, her eyes were cold and icy, masking the hurt underneath her skin but being frosty, she waited, thinking to herself as she did.

This was no way to live, not at her age, she was young, she deserved better, wanted better, what would her parent have thought of her, her thoughts turned to her children, her face softening, but then she remembered how she gave birth, lost a child, and he'd been nowhere in sight. Her claws dug into the dirt below her and she breathed in, giving a small sigh as she shook her head, again, masking over her hurt with a cold indifferent look.

A foul thing that he had to watch over and yet — the creature found stability when it came to looking upon his daughter's face. But it is the sound of @Serafella's call that makes the creature raise his head and sniff the air. Was she in danger? She rarely called for him if ever. But the beast responded anyway; peeling from the shadows as he seeks to slowly pace about her.

Little dove, how she rested so casually upon the roost they made together with cubs twisted within. But his molten eyes would catch something she presented before hiding it away again. Hurt? The thought was there for a moment; long enough to make him slowly tilt his head at her.

When he appears with the greeting of his own endearment on his lips, she visibly softens, her rigidness relaxing as she looks up at him, a sigh escaping her before she shits back on her haunches, eyes lifting to meet his, "My love."

She greets him with a gentle tone, inside she cursed herself for being too soft, but she knows love can make you as such. He tilts his head, men were simple creatures, and she feels guilty for being so cold now, because she knows he probably didn't understand why she'd been so distant now, women were the emotional ones, and men were more logic based, needing to have things spelled out for them.

"I've been lonely..." She has always found it hard to express herself with others, to show that vulnerability, which shows she has a weakness, even it is was with someone she loved. But she didn't quite mean she was lonely, "I've missed you... I've missed us." There it is, she lays it before him and hangs her head just a bit, ears pinning back as she does so.

Love could truly make or break someone, and she was worried that they teetered in that fine line, fear of being abandoned dug a sharp knife into her heart and made her distant, when she knew she should have told him long before she let this shadow cloak her.

The tension seems to ease from her body at the sound of her pet name — his head cants in the opposite direction; he listens to the words that softly greet him. The creature draws ever close; his lips trying to brush gently against the curve of her ear as he releases a gentle chuff meant for her and her alone. "Dove," baritones would croon gently towards her.

Another step was taken closer - his side trying to press against her own. Lonely? The beast would question; eyebrow arching ever so slightly as he glances about the dim cavern. Then let us continue. Vladizmir would rumble quietly next to her; his tail sweepingly too and fro from behind him as he studies @Serafella's face.

He left her to stew with the cubs for too long. Almost trapped within the Hollows as he tilts his head up to glance at the ceiling. The air here is stale. He would muse wistfully before lowering it once more. I miss us too. After all, he enjoyed the way she squirmed when he hunted her through the forest. . .amongst other things.

The cubs can take care of themselves. In his own dense brutish way, he figured that they could...right? Or at least, they could last a few days in the absence of their parents.

His head tilts the opposite direction, she knows he is listening, taking in her words and hearing her out. He comes closer and she watches, closing her eyes when he moves his head closer, her ear flicks gently as his breath tickles it.

Closer he presses in against her side and she leans into him, she presses her head gently into his mane and lets out a breath of relief, finding comfort in his presence, in the way her body fits into his side and against his chest. She looks up slightly, tilting her chin to observe him, she wanted nothing more than to be as they were.

His declaration that he took missed what they were, what they had, has her hopeful, and thankful she had not been alone in this wanting between them.

He was not wrong, the cubs were old enough that they could be without their parents for a short time, she was sure the Hollows lions would look after the young if politely asked, she wonders if he is suggesting what she thinks, what she hoped he is. "For a short time, yes..." She pauses before lifting her chin a little more, pressing gentle kisses to his neck and along his chin, "Lets find ourselves again.." She speaks softly, seductive tenor seeking to tangle itself around him.

The ghost in the room drifted about the space between them.

He feels her vividly against the surface of his skin; her body pressed against his side — nestled close as if he was about to vanish. If it was four months ago; he might have. The squawking of cubs grated against his ears but in a manner; it also softened his heart. Their cubs — creatures that were so much of him and her that he was baffled when he looked upon them.

But the thought soon cuts off as her voice cuts through the fog of his mind; making him arch an eyebrow. For a short time? Oh right...they were supposed to care for them outside of occasionally checking in. Vladizmir couldn't help but snort in amusement at the thought. She thought he meant a few hours when he actually meant a few years.

Her next words come but he is distracted by the sensation of her lips against his neck and chin; her reward is only a long rumble as he dips his head down and gently nips against her neck. "We should," he would muse quietly to her as he raised his left arm and tries to swing it over her back; attempting to draw her closer to himself in a lofty hug. "I'm sorry," the creature would drawl quietly under his breath.

Her mind drifted to their children for a moment, they'd been difficult at the beginning, with her healing, both mentally and physically, the loss of her child who'd never took its first breath had left her a shell for awhile, but she did so love their children that they'd created together.

His head dips down as she is nestled into him, his teeth gently nip at her and then he is embracing her, bringing her tight against him, and she would be content to just rest there, burying her face in his mane, until he apologizes and she pins her ears back for a moment.

He'd spent quite a lot times away from her, left her feeling empty and alone, she had felt like he was a mere ghost in their relationship, and here he was apologizing, and she couldn't bring herself to say anything, her paw gently rises to rest against his chest, head pressing into his mane as she sits there for a second, It's okay...

It wasn't, but she didn't want to dwell on the past, she just wanted to be here, in this moment, with him, she could be anywhere, as long as she was with him, together.
