Missing this... hadn't been an option. How much he would've loved to stay in his den and miss this whole affair, but he knows it would not serve him. There are a few familiar faces present already, all waiting diligently for @Reti ♔ to speak - @Ghyslaine is amongst them, and yet she is not the one that sits at the helm. Ilarion, already fairly suspicious, would keep to the outskirts, not avoiding anyone's eye but not particularly seeking it either. That is, until he reached @Olive. With @Kazimir nor @Elodie around, it was good to have someone he trusted. He would not seek to speak with Ghyslaine - not yet, anyway. He had come to her in the aftermath of her challenge, and yet she hadn't even bothered to come and speak with him after his; not to check on him, or even chew him out. Interesting. A scarred, stiff shoulder would seek to bump against that of the small brunette in way of quiet greeting.

Amari was napping amongst some bushes, eyes shuttered as after a long morning of exercise she found herself drained. Self-restrain was a new concept for the young lioness and only now she was understanding rest was just as important as training to be a mighty warrior. Then a call forced her back into her feet and she walked towards the meeting place, finding her mother @Kireena and her brother @Kirja. Smiling she went to seat down near them, happy to see them back to them. She rubbed into both of them before taking a seat, paying attention to the man who was about to host a meeting.

- @Merrill was first to arrive and Reti returned the greeting with a little smile and dip of his crown "Good Morning." he had noticed them hunting over the last while, and enjoyed seeing members keeping busy and active. -

- @Ghyslaine was next to arrive and her words to him earned a little chuckle and a whispered "If I rest any more I will start growing moss..." seriously tho - he was almost back to 100 percent. Almost. -

- @Zinnia 's well meaning scolding earned a soft chuckle and a brief reassuring rumble "I'm alright Zinnia. This his hardly taxing. The pride need to know about what happened at the war and the threat." -

- @Azriel stomped over to him, apparently displeased at his big sister 'dragging' him along. Reti glanced down with a slightly raised brow at his young son now laying at his side. A soft brief rumbling purr emitted to hopefully help ... improve his son's mood. Perhaps they should have a little Father-son talk soon... -

- @Spiritus approached and offered an introduction. Reti felt like... the name was familiar. Something from his youth.. "A pleasure to meet you Spiritus. I hope Lorien will hold many stories for you to gather. Would Lead Storyteller be a position that interests you?" he asked curious, certain that Ghys would not mind him asking or offering an empty rank position if a member was interested. -

- @Olive was next, arriving with no words for them and taking a position silently. The lioness was extremely rarely seen and Reti had wondered on occasion if she had not left the land for greener metaphorical pastures. He had nothing against her ... but got the impression the feeling was not mutual. Yet...if he was correct and she disliked him, had a gripe, why had she not simply ... brought it up with him/ Whatever was going on with the small lioness it would likely need addressed sooner rather than later. -


- @Atalanta 's smile would be mirrored, he was pleased to see her arrive. It was very important she know what he had to share. -

@Kireena made her way in followed by a youth ( @Kirja ), the pair are offered a little smile . Then @Ilarion who he offers a nod to, noting his choice to stick to the back near Olive...interesting. A second youth arrives and settles in near Kireena as well ( @Amari ).

Enough time had passed and although he was a bit disappointed more had not come to attend, Reti also knew it was very likely said members were away from the pridelands hunting, traveling, or attending to other pre planned matters - unware he would be calling for a meeting. So the Sovereign could hardly blame them for not attending this time around.

"Thankyou for attending. This is a brief meeting to let members of the pride know about a threat that Clerics and members of spiritual families should be aware of."

He paused for a moment to let this sink in. " I fought the previous ruler of Caladan, Miaran, during the mass battle in Scilla Lagoon. Miaran believes spiritual practices involving speaking to spirits - are 'sins' She wants 'sinners' or 'witches' all 'burned'. She announced this and attacked my elderly mother, who speaks to spirits. Miaran is tied to the Brook through a mateship to Velasco X'uekai. She may have assistance in the future with her .... crusade. Age is not a deterrent to her violence. Please be aware and cautious of this threat."

Another pause, it was a bit of talking but it all had to be said. They needed to know, and if they had loved ones close to them who practiced communication with spirits it would be wise if those individuals were warned as well.

"After Miaran attacked my mother I saw the depth of her madness . I challenged her to death to try and prevent this 'purging'. I lost, and was revived by a family member. If you have questions I will do my best to answer them. Please feel free to speak up - or seek me out privately if you would rather not speak up in a group."

The red druid listened as @Reti ♔ spoke to the pride as a whole, her eyes observing his form when he spoke of being resurrected. It wouldn't be the first time she had seen such a thing - and in fact she had done something similar herself in the distant past. With a soft sound, the red lioness shifted, her bi-colored gaze landing upon the Sovereign of the plains. ""I'd like to request permission to challenge for lead medic. I once did the same for the queen of the Summit that another did for you.."" She spoke quietly, her tone gentle before she glanced around to those gathered. ""I've significant knowledge on the healing arts - and would like your blessing to test myself against whomever also wishes the rank.""

Remnant was late. Fashionably late, someone else might have called it. However Rem was not that someone so she did not. She arrived in time to catch the end of her father's replies to the others. "The mean lady who killed you was trying to hurt Granhana?!" She gasped in horror. It was bad enough that the wicked lioness hurt @Reti ♔, but her grandmother on top of that was simply too much! Internally, Remnant decided that this lioness would have to pay. Rem heard @Kireena's request and her curiosity overtook some of her anger. There was going to be a rank challenge? She was excited to see it, but she wasn't sure how one challenged for lead medic. Would they still need to fight, as with lead fighter? Or would there be some kind of healing contest instead?

Reti's focus shifted to land on @Kireena as her soft voice captured his attention. Velvet ears pricked forward just visible through the waves of his dark mane as the King listened.

'I've significant knowledge on the healing arts - and would like your blessing to test myself against whomever also wishes the rank.'

His gaze slid over the crowd for a couple moments but none were swift to stand up and also request the rank, so after a full sweep of those gathered Reti focused on Kireena once more "The lead medic rank is yours, thankyou." he offered her a little smile and dip of his head, a signal of gratitude she had spoken up in the meeting and volunteered her skills to aid the pride in such a vital way.

'The mean lady who killed you was trying to hurt Granhana?!'

His attention shifted to @Remnant then and he gave a little nod, expression serious and voice gentle but firm when responding "Yes. And she has hurt cubs before too. So, you are not to try and get her back for it little one. I'll talk to you about fighting training after the meeting ok?"

Reti's focus lifted back to the crowd as a whole then "Alright, that is all I have to share for now. Thankyou for coming, and Please don't hesitate to seek me out if you wish to talk about this, or anything else. I will always make time for my fellow pride mates, and want to know if you have thoughts to share." one more nod and slight smile and the swirled lion would move a short distance away, where he would linger for a while incase anyone wanted to seek him out.

And to talk to his cubs if they wanted to discuss fighting training, or what had happened to him during the war.

The fact that @Reti ♔ gave the rank without complaint had the druid tilting her skull in appreciation. She would have tested herself - or fought for it.. but to be given the rank without contest boded well on the man that now lead their home. The red lioness rose to her feet, looking to the children that had gathered near her and lowered her skull to gently nudge @Kirja and @Amari. "Say your goodbyes, sweetlings. it's time to go." She spoke with a soft tone, but her eyes were kind - as they always had been. The red druid rose to her feet and made her way towards the den she and Arjana had come to call home. //Exit//

There would be not rank challenge as @Reti ♔ gave the lioness the position immediately. While this might have intrigued her later in life, it failed to hold her attention now. Yes. And she has hurt cubs before too. Rem's ears rung as she was further filled with fear and fury. What a dangerous, immoral creature! She barely caught the rest of her Papa's words but her attention snagged on his mention of fighting training. Although still full of unpleasant emotions, she perked up at the thought of learning from her Papa. Her Papa then addressed everyone and announced the meeting's end. Remnant followed him as he moved to the side and waited with him as any others came to speak with him. Once everyone else was done, he would be just her Papa again, instead of her Papa and everyone's High Sovereign, and she'd ask him about the training. /exit
