Following her brother's successful bid for the Caladan throne Pyrrha has a specific check in to perform with the woman who previously held her position. Pyrrha knew two things now. Aphrodite supposedly moved to the Plains, and a Plains lion was recently attacked with murderous intentions. There's things going on she's not been privileged yet to learn- and she's curious. She's curious what the future will hold and still even curious if this dark lioness could be fully trusted. Baby steps.

So she wanders near to Lorien but sticks to the neutral lands nearby and waits until she finds sign or scent.

Since the fall of Miaran, Aphrodite has found herself at peace. Granted she still was not aware that she was a prisoner along side her children for the Brook. So here she was, roaming the Plains freely as her children stayed home with Reti. Someone she was grateful for as he had become apart of that peace in her life. She wasn't in the Plains for any specific reason, she wasn't here to find plants as the winter had still kept it's tight hold on the lands but instead to enjoy the white blanket that laid on the land before her. Her violet jewels casting glancing along the pathways, but unaware she was being saught after by none other than @Pyrrha ♔ herself.

PYRRHA TOLLAIRE

Pyrrha spots @Aphrodite ♔ and gracefully moves over closer - ears perked towards her and intent on her steps. There's something on Pyrrha's mind and she wants to dive right in. "At the challenge, a woman mentioned that Miaran tried to kill the Plains Sovereign? That's where you said you'd gone." She waits for confirmation before continuing on with the real point of this all. "If my brother and I seek alliance with the Plains, it sounds a high likelihood that we'll get along with the rulers there then?" There's a bit of assumption there. But enemy of my enemy and all of that. But it couldn't hurt to go into things a little more prepared and knowledgeable. Even if she and Drauhir didn't fully pursue an alliance - clearly things had gone on that Pyrrha was not privy to and needed some catch up on the gossip.

Movement catches her violet jewels and Aphrodite would glance over in the direction in which it came from, landing on @Pyrrha ♔ who moved even closer and got straight to the point. Ears twisting on top of her head at the question, Aphrodite nodding her head before listening to what else needed to be said before starting her own sentence. You'd be correct. Miaran killed Reti only for one of Reti's relatives to bring him back to life. She was sure that Miaran saw that as a weakness. That Reti was not worthy of the crown that he wore on top of his head alongside Ghyslaine. But I don't see why there wouldn't be a reason for the Plains to ally themselves with you and your brother. Both Reti and Ghyslaine seem to have the right mind to lead the Plains correctly and have alliances with each pride that would benefit them and the other pride. Even Aphrodite would've allied herself with Pyrrha and her family had she met them before Miaran had tried to dig her claws into her heart and soul.

Killed? Her brow lifts up with the phrasing. It doesn't really sound like she managed to do the job if Reti was still up and walking around. "I think someone has to stay dead for it to count as killed." She lightly teases, but she wants to be supportive nevertheless as she is not sure how important this lion is to anyone; he's a stranger to Pyrrha so she honestly did not care so much that he survived more than Miaran had failed and made enemies in the process.

Means allies for her. "At the very least I would like to make them aware of the change in leadership in the Cove. Less they be planning retribution for the attempted murder." A gentle, subtle, probe. Has Aphrodite heard anything of that nature? Any bullets Pyrrha needs to make sure get dodged?

The tease was met with a slight chuckle as Aphrodite would shrug her shoulders. She thought she had succeeded. Reti stopped breathing for minutes but I've seen Morrigan revive someone even after they've stopped breathing and now I've watched someone do the same thing to my friend. She would explain, though she doubted it helped nor did @Pyrrha ♔ care about it. But now, his nephew has been deemed a witch alongside Hanneth and others who can revive those killed, which has only made the target on her head bigger. Because everyone in Amaryllis believed in the Goddess Maua. Even she was beginning to believe it.

I'm sure someone from the Plains as already told either Ghyslaine or Reti about the change in leadership. There were a few Plains lions at your brother's fight so the information is bound to get back to either leader. She had been a bit focused on the fight and not the crowd, even though she could smell the different pride scents. But Aphrodite knew, it wasn't the Cove that Reti would go after, or anyone else within, it would solely be Miaran no matter where she found herself residing.

"Who?" Pyrrha leaps at the question. If it wasn't her Aunt then who else was capable of these sorts of things? God and spirits? Pyrrha wasn't sure if she did or didn't believe in them and if that was what was truly going on here. But a very skilled healer? Or a really poor murderer? That seemed more likely. The new young Queen didn't need to know the details only that the kill had been a failure, same as when they all fail a hunt to things like weather and fate. It left their bellies empty. They had failed. And so has Miaran.

It is a relief to know Lorien may already know what has happened. For Caladan's sake they won't have to bare the burden of the last Queen's crimes. "Ghyslaine and Reti." She repeats the names of the two lions of the Plains for her own memory's sake.

The question that escaped @Pyrrha ♔'s lips caused an eyebrow to raise up on Aphrodite's features. Hero Hodari. You didn't know he was a healer? Surely Pyrrha knew about the Hodari family or at least Hanneth. Aphrodite figured many knew who Hanneth was if they lived within Amaryllis long enough. She only knew Hanneth because of her mother and being told about her. And then she's repeating Ghyslaine and Reti's name. But Aphrodite is still a bit confused. Do you not know who the Hodari family is? Her head would tilt to the side, curious as ever about the life Pyrrha had before Miaran uprooted it and her family.
