The chill of winter and the obstacle course of bones provided the perfect opportunity for Avreya to prime her body for the months, seasons, and events ahead. Of course, only two of these were at all predictable, but such was even more reason for her to be prepared for whatever might come her--or the Band's--way. She was still training herself to think like part of the group rather than like a rogue...which was difficult given the freedoms her new home seemed to allot her despite, also, their supposed ownership over her. But she supposed she was thankful for this at the same time. She could not imagine the responsibilities that might have fallen to her had she agreed to tag along with Mircea or Nazara.

She mused over the irony of her situation as she gnawed away idly at an elephant leg bone. Even without bearing the names or smells of the Hollow or the Brook, it seemed the former followed her everywhere, and today was no exception as her nose caught onto a hint of the Hollow's recognizable scent wafting through the air. Her nostrils flared in acknowledgment of it, but for now, she kept to herself. If her company wished for hers, then they would seek her out. Until then, she contemplated how to best balance and carry this bone in her jaws. Surely something of this size would wake up the muscles. @Clara @Shazaki ★

Clara didn't remember why she had come here at all, in such a place that gave a sort of bad feelings. Seeing all these bones and the waste land-like place would not be of many's desire.

Yet she was here perhaps to gather some herbs or anything of her chosen path. And like that the big girl walked around as if it was anywhere but a graveyard, with a level of caution but with the majority of her mind placed upon the interesting features this location had to offer to those brave or dumb enough to visit on their own.

Clara then found a few elephant bones where a few little plants rested by their side. Slowly the leucistic teenager went to check on them unaware of the other lioness.

Despite the fact that she almost looked like she was playing mindlessly with the bone she had found, Avreya was acting with purpose. Quietly she relished in the new smoothness of her teeth, in the slight soreness radiating through her jaw, neck, shoulders and spine as she strutted about with the leg bone balanced delicately behind her canines. Regardless of how polished she was in the offensive arts, she found some comfort in at least ensuring her best tools of the trade were well cared for and that, if push came to shove, she could rely on them to keep her out of harm's way.

However, she doubted the same could be said about the Hollow girl who finally joined her. Mismatched eyes watched her for awhile to see if she would notice her--or anything, for that matter, about her surroundings--but nothing came of the silence between them. How long might have this child lasted in the presence of someone more hostile? she wondered. In the time it took for the woman to eventually lose her patience, her company could have lost her life many times over.

More and more--between the prim and proper Mircea, the clumsy Cáelfind, and now @Clara--Avreya was beginning to wonder who exactly the beasts of the Hollow truly were. And how they had managed to cling to their kingdom for as many general as they claimed. If not for her serious frame of mind at the moment, she might have chuckled fondly at the thought.

"Do you know how long you've been being watched, girl?" she eventually said, having dropped the bone from her mouth to speak. "You're lucky I'm a friend. Your first lesson: learn to have your wits about you."

She kept inspecting the oddly placed plants, noticing they were ALEXANDRIAN SENNA. A plant she had heard were good for wound dressing. A soft smile formed on her pink lips. Slowly she picks it between her jaws wanting to bring it back with her, she wanted to start building up her medic store. Make them know she was serious with her wish to become a healer.

Yet a voice startled her making her drop the plant. Looking around she spotted the dark colored woman. Who's scary words made the fur of her spine and down rise. She was being watched and only now she found out. This worked as a reminder for her to pay attention regardless of what she was up into.

"Ow, you are correct! It wont happen again," Or so she wanted to believe. "I am Clara!" She said always happy to meet new potential friends. "You seem quite the experienced fighter... Mind if I learn from you? I barely know the basics of combat." She didn't think about being polite and don't ask stuff right away, but she was too excited to think about that.

Almost to her satisfaction, the girl she was observing jumped at the sound of her voice, dropping whatever it was that she had foraged. A quiet snort was huffed through her maw as Avreya flicked her twin tails and observed her approach, her gaze intense yet relaxed. "It won't happen again!" the yearling exclaimed, introducing herself as @Clara. The mauve woman tilted her head.

"Good," she said, lightly but curtly, throwing the girl a crumb of approval. She could have slapped her on the wrist for giving her name so freely, but given her eagerness to please and her desire to hone her skills, Avreya decided she would let it slide. Overly friendly or not, she could tell the girl would grow to a formidable size, enough to make anyone think twice before throwing themselves at her with the intent to harm.

Rising with a roll of her shoulders, Avreya smirked at the girl. "Avreya. I must confess it's been a moment since I've seen any flavor of battle, but I suppose I have a few pointers." Taking a slow pace, she circled Clara and waited to see what she would do, even adding idle conversation into the mix as she slowed down around her rear. "You were foraging, I saw. Tell me a little bit about what it was you harvested. I'm not much of a healer."
