The storm had brought with it churning waters, and all sorts of bits and bobbles washed upon the shore. The black sand was littered with rocks, sea glass, and shells- among bones and other assorted things from the dark waters. As the tide had receded, she had fell upon the shore with fervor in her searching for bits and bobbles. All the things, Marja absolutely needed in her collection- because she surely couldn't live without it. She had stuffed her pouch, a roughly thrown together strange hide pouch that kind of reeked, with as much as she could and was currently sitting on her haunches, trying to stuff some pretty shells and rocks into it- trying to make it fit.

Marja would let out a grunt and a sigh, as she finally managed to wiggle it into place, before she'd start rooting her head beneath the vine's strap to carry it up to the rocks... because she had so much more to go through. She's so engrossed in her work that she doesn't really note anyone else on the beach. Not that, many were bothered with the antics of her. She just collected, and collected- hard at work.

Storms brought a certain energy to the air, filling it with a refreshing crispness, a wetness that stung the back of her throat - but in a good way as she strolled down the surprisingly cluttered shoreline. She’d been there enough now that the black sands no longer phased her. In fact she’d been finding muse amongst her current surroundings, humming as she attempted to develop some sort of melody. It was still wordless at that point, but pleasing nonetheless. A grunt in the air caught her attention and caused her to tear her eyes off turbulent ocean and angry clouds, and instead fix on what she quickly realized was another lioness shoving what looked like a bit of everything into a strange contraption. Interested in what she might be doing and happy to suddenly see company on the horizon she trotted over, Hello there friend, I’m Rose! she felt a touch of pride that she actually remembered to introduce herself before beginning her eccentric ramblings, That’s quite the assortment of things! Are you a craftswoman of sorts by any chance? who else would need so much junk and why? @Marja

claws dig into the sand beneath her paws, black on black as she works sniffing about for more and more trinkets to add to her budding collection. she is so enraptured in her own work that she does not hear the approach of another. she does not hear the paws on sand, the tell-tale signs of another's arrival. until that other speaks, and marja startles- turning sharply with a "Heh?" as she takes in the arrival. a mauve female, who is pretty is there- and she is speaking. it takes marja, longer than the loon would prefer to come back to reality, to focus on the words being spoken to her.

the female introduces herself as rose, and then asks if marja is a craftswoman. what is a craftswoman, she wonders her brow raising as she heavily sits back on her haunches- eyes almost vacantly staring at the female. "am Marja." She repeats almost dumbly- brain still not connecting with the situation. "Not know craftswoman. Am servant of Gromm. Collect things for altar Marja must." she speaks in broken English, but not in an unfriendly tone. "what rose doing?" she asks, curiously, brow raising as she realizes... she may have someone to talk to for a moment.

She stumbles back a step as the woman response in a clearly startled manner, giving her an extra measure of space to show she means no harm as she listens. The lioness speaks with with a strange mannerism that leaves Rose all the more interested and captivated. Even with her oddly broken and fragmented sentences Rose realizes she's collecting all of the beach bits and bobbles not for her own enjoyment, but it sounds as if it was for some sort of religious purpose? Unless Gromm was a mortal lion. Fascinating! Is Gromm your deity? She asked before answering @Marja as to what she herself was doing there. Oh, I live in the cove not far from here and wander this way from time to time. She offered her explanation before simply shrugging, looking down again at all the things the other lioness was attempting to collect. It would seem Gromm is making quiet the haul from this storm, do you need help carrying some of it? She offered helpfully. Truthfully she was interested in hearing more about this Gromm, and more importantly she would love to see this altar Marja spoke of. Altars and temples made such interesting focal points in a good story.
