The pain he feels is damn near euphoric. The other's teeth snapping shut in their own vice-like grip. Yes. This was what he had wanted. This was what he had needed. This explosion of aggravated brutality.

He snarls into Dominic's mouth as claws slash at his chest. The familiar burn swift and grating. His own paw would come up but instead of going for the front, it would seek to try and wrap as far around his shoulder as possible - like an awkward half hug. The claws from that same paw attempting to find an anchorage in said shoulder.

Their sizes were near equal but Cassius was confident in his own ability. Knowing that his tossing of weight hardly ever let him down. And that was what he aimed to do now; over burden his already injured opponent.

Dominic knew their jaws would need to be unlocked sooner, rather than later. If they continued in this fashion, it would only spell badly for the both of them. Before he could think much on that, however - a pain split along his shoulder and instinctively he would jerk backwards to avoid the pain. Jaws would open wide, attempting to rip them from Cassius' own while still trying to do damage in his withdrawal.

Lacerations - thick and ugly, could be seen curving over his shoulder, blood trickling down his limb. Dominic was not a skilled fighter - he was not well versed in the ways of violence. This made it ever so obvious that such a thing would need to change. Quickly.

Before there can be any reprieve, Cassius is suddenly pushing forward against him. Size wise, they were the same, but the other seemed to have far more fat - which gave him an edge over the still growing Dominic. Grunting, his legs did their best to brace the damage, but with his shoulder throbbing from the previous cuts - the male faltered and staggered back.

A growl ushered from his lips, "Fat ass." He snarls before attempting to throw his own weight full force back into Cassius, jaws simultaneously attempting to snap for the lower side of his opponent's left cheek. This was done in hopes of avoiding another jaw lock - though how successful that was yet to be seen.

His opponent tries to pull away, Cassius reflexively seeking to grasp harder. Both with his claws and with his teeth. In the end he lets him go. Breaking this guy's jaw wasn't quite on his menu for today; even if the Darkling thought he deserved to be silent for a good long while. No, he was after something much better. Something that would ensure Dominic never forget this day.


The plum shoves into him, interrupting his snarl for a moment as the wind left his lungs in a huff. It returns in a deep chuckle. Clearly more amused than offended by the intended insult. Teeth come snapping at his face, head turned slightly up and away. Dominic latches onto his lower cheek and although the pain is searing, he does his best to ignore it; to stay focused on this new goal. Instead his claws come upward, attempting to sink and sink and sink into the right side of the other's face.

Their jaws come apart successfully and he's able to dig his jaws into the lower cheek of his opponent. A snarl erupts from his jaws as the other chuckles. Who the hell did this guy think he was? It made his skin crawl to think he had ever touched Melusina - or ever would. Perhaps that was his intention, though, to cause this reaction.

Anger coursed through him like never before. He raises a paw as Cassius does, attempting to prevent the nasty slash that would grab the right side of his face, but Dominic is far too late. Talons come crashing down on his face, raking downward roughly. Rending flesh doing immeasurable damage that the beast can't quite comprehend in the moment.

Pain sears through his entire body as he snarls, his heart hammering roughly in his chest. He was losing this, he was going to lose. Damn him and his weaknesses...

Whatever strength this male thought he had, whatever training he had ever done, none of it was enough. In this moment, as the scale inevitably tips in favor for the more experienced fighter, none of what this male had would be enough to save him.

Cassius pulls, yanking himself free of the other's grip, taking damage from the act but right now he could not care, could not be bothered to think about or access the extent of the wounds. His weight shifts, pressing in as his hind paw works to trip his opponent. Taking the younger male to the ground with a violent thud.

The Darkling stands above @Dominic, leaning in close, his face wild and stretched too unnaturally, his grin pushed to near uncanny limits. Many things could be said yet nothing comes. Not even a snarl or growl from the black mass. But there is a gurgling bubbling noise. A wet purr through all the blood saturating his tongue, his throat.

Without much warning a massive paw slams into Dominic's face, forcing him to look to the left, claws digging into his muzzle, all his weight applied, threatening to shatter bone. His free paw comes to hover over the male's right eye, pale claws flexing, dragging slowly along the sensitive skin. Daggers so dangerously close. A breath of laughter starts up, whirling between them as Cassius leans ever closer, wanting a good look at what he was about to do.

Claws plunge down, sinking into soft wet tissue that was never designed to withstand such force. A pop and sickening squelch as those claws wrap around that blue optic orb. And cruelly does he pause there, letting his prey feel everything in slow tandem. Just a little momento. The beast rumbles. Then swiftly he is pulling out of that once intact socket. Blood spraying, gushing, and he cannot help but snake out his tongue and take a taste as the other's eyes breaks free.

In a flourish of motion he is released. The monstrous being now stepping away, his prize resting securely, safely, in his jaws. He takes one last appreciative look, letting the satisfaction of his work settle over every fiber of himself. And when he is done watching his victim writhe, Cassius turns and heads back to Wolfbron.

It happens faster than he can try to stop it. His body is exhausted - and even more so, he was already running a fever from his previous wounds. Gasping for air, pain rips through his face and he cannot help the screaming roar that erupts from his jaws as @Cassius ♔ slowly tears his eye from it's socket. Every muscle in his body was suddenly alive as he spasmed from the pain, his teeth bared. Anger gripped his heart, hot and chaotic, like the scorching sun. Another ear shattering roar fills the air before the world grows dark, darker - until there's nothing. Dominic passes out from the physical trauma; all he can see is the figure of Cassius walking away. Done with him. He was weak, he'd lost. But this wasn't the end.
