So much had happened and after some rest he was on the mend thanks mostly in part because of their brilliant and hard working lead medic. He really was thankful for Khadija but he too had a job and couldn’t just lay around while he healed up. Going to check on the food cache he grunted not liking how it was looking. The pride had grown recently and so it was important to keep on hunting. Therefore he made his choice to hunt now in the early morning hours before the sun fully came out to bake them all alive.

Going to the meeting rock he chuffed for those who would come to wake up and hunt with him. Sniffing the air he started to search for the prey they would be hunting. Hopefully it was something a little bigger than a hare this time. Though he was sure someone enjoyed that snack.

Despite the intense pain shooting through her body from her recent battle, Miaran was determined to not let her pride suffer. Every step she took was agony, but she pushed through, knowing that her pride relied on her. Her injuries may have slowed her down, but they would not stop her from fulfilling her duties.

The call of duty resonated in her ears as the first rays of dawn touched the horizon. With a deep breath, she rose from her bed of healing herbs and forced her aching body to move. Khadija's healing touch had worked wonders, but Miaran could still feel the lingering pain in her paw.

As she made her way to where @Milano was stationed, every step sent a jolt of pain up her leg. But she refused to show weakness in front of her pride mate. Bonjour, Milano, she greeted with a brave smile, despite the limp in her step. I may not be at my best, but I will still do whatever I can to help. My condition will not hinder my commitment to our pride.

She was pregnant. What could she do honestly? She had already told @Miaran about taking Reti on as a lover so it would have been a matter of time before children happened right? Regardless, she was here and she'd help as much as she could. Ears twisted when she came up and heard Miaran's words, brushing her growing side against her wife's own side. You can count me in too, even with my condition. She would muse, whispering those words to both her Queen and lead hunter. Which seemed to always just be the three of them and no others. Disappointing. Maybe she needed to hold another meeting about it.

He had been awake when the call from their lead hunter echoed. Actually, they'd been awake for a while. Summer would never be his favored season and daytime would never be his favorite time. But most lions were not nocturnal and over the years he too had lost that. Now he suffered under the sun, under the summer heat. So he'd taken to the water, swimming had never been a strength but with Caladan being an ocean pride he sought to learn. Not to mention it was proving a good workout. Especially when the sun grew too hot for the fluffy servant.

So he'd pull himself from the waves water dripping from his fur as he made his way towards where the summons had been called. I am here he offers as he joins the trio ears flicking in his mane as he dips his head respectfully to the dark queen. He was not by any means a hunter but he could offer strength and follow orders. All he needed was to know how to help. His eyes would slip over the beach wondering what the hunter would choose as their prey. His jaws would part a gulp of air tickling over his tongue and into his nose. The scents were a jumbled mess to the servant but he would try to figure out if anything was nearby.

A hunt is called for and off course Khadija will help them even if she was not a Hunter of profession. She was stoll capable of hunting just not in a fancy way such as Milano could. And thus she rushed to meet her pride mates. Finding Milano,Miarsan and Aphrodite. She had an internal sigh upon seeing the three not resting for their wounds. But well she didn't feel like she should say anything and instead she simply nodded also looking at Felix who she had yet to meet.

Finally she rushed to keep the calf away from escaping by standing on its way when it tried to run away. This would be a good exercise for her andurance which she needed for future fights.

2 years | pride tier +1 | no trade perks Rose had been milling about the cove when the sound of someone calling them to attention caught her ear. Curious to what was going on she altered her path to take her towards the commotion, her steps greatly increasing in speed until she could see the small gathering. Some of those gathered she recognized - queen Aphrodites and Milano the lead hunter of the cove. Others she had not yet had the pleasure of becoming aquatinted with, but she would fix that problem soon. First, she judged as she gre closer enough to pick up bits of conversations, it seemed as if breakfast was in order. Closing the distance between her oridemates sns herself she offered them all a small bow of greeting. Hello. Hello my companions! Shall I join you on our hunt today? she chirped cheerfully, claws flexing softly into the sand as she let her gaze slowly drift from one lion to the next until she finally focused on Milano. It wasn’t the best time to be hunting down an elephant calf but it would do well to feed the pride. They needed to eat to heal and eat they needed food. Plus the pride was expanding. Little by little and litter by litter.

As more and more showed up he nodded to each one giving a smile. When there was enough to start the hunt he shifted to get into place and waited for the rest to do so before giving the signal with a flick of his tail. Running towards the calf he moved to cut its path and help drive it towards where they wanted it to go.

Gaze alight with excitement, she exchanged a knowing smile with the Lead Hunter, a moment filled with unspoken understanding. As she turned to acknowledge the newcomers—likely recruits sent by Aphrodite herself—her heart swelled with hope. She patiently waited, allowing each member to savor their connection to the hunt, each feeling the thrill of the chase before she joined Milano, their bond strengthened by shared purpose, to carefully store the remnants in a cache destined for their community. With the task behind them and the call of duty still resonating in her heart, she returned to her patrols, ever vigilant.

It didn’t take long before their prey was dispatched and their bellies and food stores were full once again. With a content disposition aided by the digestion that was now occurring within her gut. Good hunt my friends! she piped happily once the meal was done and any excess carefully stored away for later. From there she would take her leave until such time as hunger or the hunter called again. She was sure Milano would gather them whenever the stores were beginning ti deplete or a change to ger ahead prior to the winter months presented itself. She trusted him to keep them all in the loop of when and where they were needed for the hunt.
