"So bitter," soft musings ponder upon the air, disappointed by @Pyrrha ♔'s reaction, and her business-like view surrounding procreation. Although she might care for Pyrrha, find herself wanting the other woman's presence pressed against her body at night, there felt hollowness in the words her friend spoke. "I hope you let go of your hate of that man." Pity isn't the right word to define what coats her words; she's trying to convey to her friend how empty life will be if all she chases is that one tangible thing, afraid that once Pyrrha grasps the throne there wouldn't be anything to keep her happy. "I hope you find someone to love you enough it counters that hate." Although she wishes there was a different vision for them, Yuna isn't so daft as to think she were strong enough to carry the burden Pyrrha presented to any potential lover. ."So that whomever gives you heirs is more than just a means to an end." I won't stoop so low as to warm someone's bed for the sake of crowns. Life at that moment felt painful, callous as her glacial gaze befell the curves of Pyhrra's strong shoulders, her thick neck, and freckled face, among those features there was something so provocative.

Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

Curled hairs ruffle as shoulder blades disturb individual hairs in a sort of shrug. There wasn't much she knew about the Miroslav family and their time ruling the desert when she was a child. No longer did they rule, for she had watched leaders change hands upon the desert throne many a time now. Not one pride felt stable within Amaryllis, even Ecrosia had changed faces among leadership.

Bitter is not wrong. Nay, if there's any issue Pyrrha finds with the assessment is that it does not sound strong enough for the feelings she has and how much complications hurt her family. It's more than that, more than this single woman could ever comprehend. Your continued interest in my relationship with my step father is bizarre. Her voice is dismissive, a finality to the words spoken as Pyrrha tries to shut the man out of the conversation entirely. If only it were as simple as hate then Pyrrha would be far more content to talk about him. If only that one word were enough and if only every time she tried to talk about it she didn't end up feeling dismissed and scolded by those she otherwise trusted.
I hope, I hope, I hope goes Yuna. And whether the hopes are sincere or not they still leave Pyrrha feeling wounded. Like hemlock laced claws are being forced into her chest, into her lungs. Her features continue to grow sour with every word- already folded ears fall back harder against her skull and her pale pastel blue eyes thin down until they are but narrow slivers. She bites back harshly. "There's more to life than love. I will be great, I will be whole without anyone at my side to hold me back." Why was pursuit of Caladan narrow but pursuit of love elevated and encouraged? Why could the throne not be the end all be all for her?

Projectile wrath leaks from her friend’s countenance. All too consumed by the distaste of Kvare, according to Yuna’s knowledge. Not one singular person could read another’s mind, nor understand their individual point of view. Although she knew this, there remained concerned over Pyrrha’s seeming hatred for her family that wasn’t her mother. Since the other woman pushes the topic aside, she allows it to sink into the background.
Disappointment grows still, a fondness growing cold within her chest as she looks upon the relentless form of Pyrrha. Words found themselves stricken, muddled within her mind as she attempted to unravel sudden complications towards @Pyrrha ♔. Stubborn nature could prevent anyone from enjoying life, just as she saw before her (assumptions made of course). Whether or not these things held any truth felt burdened by the heated way which her friend speaks to her, lashing out at each other like misfit pixies.
”Do you think someone like me at your side would make you weak?” Glacial eyes are level on the freckled form; the inquiry is bright within her gaze, wondering how Pyrrha might consider such a prospect. Although she is not wholly sure this is whom she’d remain with, nor wish to pursue, if the quest for a throne were so relentless as to make children a means to an end, and not results made from love.

"Someone like you?" Pyrrha takes a moment to consider just what Yuna means by this. Was she just simply inquiring if Pyrrha would be more welcome to have another woman at her side as a partner and beloved? Or was it more specific than that? In her moments of thought she lets her eyes sweep over Yuna's sandy hued frame and round the ringlets of her curly fur. Her pass is quick, then back to her face. "My dreams would get in the way." As Pyrrha sought her throne and to reclaim her parent's home she did not feel that she could be distracted, that nothing else could be priority. "I would have to pick, or juggle, or compromise between that lion at my side and my goals. I do not know if that would inherently make me weak but before long there would be strain, strife, and complications. And that would make me weak."
So many words to say -yes. "Do you disagree?" Pyrrha asks and prods a little as she tries to get to a place of better understanding. Why this question has come up, why her life could not be complete with simply a crown and her own ambitions. Had they watched the same pride meeting and fights where Sunder's own wives stood against Yuna, stood against Kvare's choice, against Sunder and Pyrrha's approval. Such things weakened Caladan and they were done blasphemously in Sunder's name.

Weakness presented itself all over, whether physically or burdened by emotion. For @Pyrrha ♔ there was only distancing herself from others, intent only on a throne when everyone had long since dispersed. Yet she had always supported the ambition of her friend, always encouraged it. Even if it meant bloodshed, even if it meant less peace among lions of Amaryllis, like she and Analìa hoped for. Peace could never be obtainable among the likes of lions.
The tides turn, now she's under scrutiny. "I disagree." She'd always been more private, hidden away within her chambers. Now she's condemned to release some understanding, to produce something for Pyrrha's connection. "We could do it together." It felt as though they had come together those months ago to lead a pride rampant with those who misunderstood their places, but were somehow a family.
Caladan was their home, but those who had followed them were more important to her than a crown. It would take recollecting them back to the shores if the only way was to win the cove back. Yuna would have it no other way.
Caladan was not Caladan without its people.

She is not upset that Yuna disagrees. Pyrrha has long figured that many would not see the world as she did. Or that those who did were too weak to temptations, not so soured on the potential as see. "Someone like you would be miserable with someone like me. I cannot..." No. "I do not want to put anything, or anyone, before my goal." It was an active choice, every day, every second. Not giving up on it was hard as fuck. Pyrrha could put another before her dreams. She did not want to. Anyone at her side was second place to the throne, to the crown, and most of all the legacy.
"I want you to help me with this." This has been true for awhile. She wanted Yuna to succeed when she had the Sovereign's throne. She had hoped Yuna would win against Miaran. She hopes still that when they return Yuna will come- Pyrrha feels not unlike when Yuna had first spoke of Andal. When thinking of her leaving sucked. "You are Caladan."

Further disappointment expands in her chest, prodded by @Pyrrha ♔'s insistence that she wouldn't make a great romantic partner. Injury to one's heart is always something which feels deep, no matter how shallow the lashing. "I see." Quiet brandishing of positive consideration notes that she's taken this information in, expanded upon it within her mind through a burst of emotion, and accepted the finality all within one breath.
Paws sift into the sand, feeling somewhat weak under Pyrrha's responses. There's nothing here for anymore, between them. All she'd been for Pyrrha was a ruler, someone to walk alongside, to give hope to a future for Caladan which had crumbled between her toes. "Am I, Caladan?" For a moment she stews upon the idea, wondering where she'd be otherwise, uncertain she possessed that right. "It's not my birth place, nor my right." Decisions spurn outwards, for she had failed the pride in many ways. Her diplomatic intentions weren't something Amaryllis wanted over the bloodshed that stormed upon the shores. "Caladan is yours." Although she'd worked to keep the position it wasn't hers to keep, sovereignty was not her's; to Pyrrha she forfeited the right, the rank, and the future of the pride, because that is who wanted such things most.

Pyrrha feels her face drop into a subtle frown and there's a bit of extra weight that gets added into her chest. "Sorry." She says awkwardly and with a little shrug of her shoulders. The quiet that comes after her own voice is thick and heavy.
Reprieve comes when Yuna speaks again. Of Caladan, of rights. Pyrrha responds in a soft and calm way. "You're not wrong." Caladan was hers. Her chest swells slightly with pride hearing it aloud from another. Hers to earn, hers to love and rebuild. "But it's just beach without lions to inhabit it." The land was important to Pyrrha, she clung tight as she could to the memories of the shores and the gardens in hopes they would not fade away entirely before she can go back home.
"I've wanted nothing more than to even have a chance to live up to what my mother did, the pride she built. Having a family like we did in Caladan is part of that." In this way, Yuna was indeed Caladan. It's not strictly about the throne and even though Pyrrha is adamant against the talk of partners and romance it seems she would be just as unhappy living her life alone without friends around. Without the family found and made, created and crafted together.
