His blood drips onto the sand his lips still in a smile despite the realisation he has lost settling in. The lioness he'd tried to imprison had been shepherded to safety while they were fighting. A shame, truly but one that he could remedy at another time. These lions were everywhere, and with how things were tuning out he was certain this would not be the first time he had the chance to try and take a woman from the lagoon.

"Best keep her safe within your borders" he hums lips peeling back into a bloody grin. Or maybe he should try to take her next? The brown woman had been wailing so desperately for her home when Icefang took it.

Though before he can voice his bright idea another call steals his attention. Fun was over, they were leaving. "Until next time" he hums as he steps away to follow Icefang and whomever else was left back to the brook.

her wrist slices downwards before she even realizes what's happening, cutting deep into dominic's face. almost immediately, the regret hits her. something nasty and acidic starts crawling up the back of her throat. it had been lilac fur in front of her swing, but not the right lilac fur.

as soon as her paw hits the ground magdalena is stumbling back, eyes wide and maw agape. whatever hatred towards her sister existed, whatever menacing intent there had been, it all dissipates. "dominic," his name leaves her in a stunned whisper. what had she done? "i-" once upon a time magdalena had been a medic, so it's hard to not flinch at the carnage she had just carved into his skin. she needs to get closer to inspect it. magdalena's guilt pushes her to fix it, though her brain can barely make sense of the wound, can hardly tell if the eye is salvageable through all the blood.

his silence is louder than any scream and magdalena's heart drops straight to her gut. "wait, dom. let me look at it-" she pleads, stepping after him as the man turns to go. she had to fix it - had to fix what she had ruined - or the guilt would eat her alive. either he doesn't hear her, or he doesn't care. "dom!" she tries one more time, steps slowing and then stopping entirely when he continues towards the borders. magdalena veers sharply, intending to run back to her den for whatever meager stores of herbs were there before trying to track him down.

Sable was a little disappointed to see Louve and the younger lioness come out on top in their spat with the strangers. She had secretly the queen might be brought down a peg with the defeat, but it seemed today was not the day for such things. With a sigh, she turned to @Lazare beside her, bidding her a wordless farewell, before she began to gingerly plod through the sands of the Lagoon on her way out.

The trek back to the Bluffs would be much more difficult with the aches and pains of combat to accompany her. Luck had been on her side today, and she was grateful she hadn't sustained further injury, but this was a stark reminder of her aging body and the limits time was beginning to place upon her.

Elaine watched it all and could only shake her head. She had made her choice today but she didn't know if she would have to keep making that choice over and over again or if she would finally be forced to take a side. Isla called to them all saying that her side had won. It did seem that way indeed but her own seemed to have faired well enough. Elaine didn't linger longer than she needed to. With a last look at what she was leaving behind, Elaine left the Lagoon, hopefully for the last time. She had no reason to come back, right?

Now that many of the fights were ending and Renly had found her rock bottom emotionally, she knew that she was going to have to revisit her position. A place that she was not so sure that she deserved when there were so many others that did. So Renly did her best to herd out any of the stragglers that did not belong to the Lagoon and wandered the borders for hours making sure that they were protected from a second attack. Most of the Lagoon lions were going to need a long recovery period and while she was only one lion, she was going to do her very best to ward off any second wave. exit renly

There was no further interest in staying longer than he needed to when Rhea addressed that she would explain things elsewhere. Fully interested in figuring out the story from her lips and making sure that she was alright at the end of the day. While he did share his loyalty with the Lagoon despite having been late, it was to she that his heart had chosen to worship but the Mother's way.
