the cold air breezed through his thick mane, lifting the strands of his blue-black fur down his spine. blood spills upon the earth, crimson rivulets staining his ivory chest, as the wet glistening red continued to pour upon the stained snow. he hauls the deer carcass to the icy floor, opening it up in one surgical move. the warm contents would spill out, and harou would lower his body to the floor, devouring the remains of the deer as he licks his lips with a howling hunger. lately, he feels like isolating himself, drawing away from everyone to spend time alone in the winter regions. he needed this time to himself to withdraw and move away from everything and everyone, a reprieve from all the annoying political noise.

"familiar, isn't it?" she coos as she walks through the frigid cavern corridor, her shoulder gently pressed against the frost lined wall. there brighid pauses at the entryway, a satin gloved hand raising to rap against his chamber door. the cold cuts through her fur, flushing her cheeks as she watches him and the carnage of his meal, warm breath pooling about her whiskers. there had been a time in her ice-bound kingdom when they had shared space in the polar wood with nothing but the moon to witness their hunger and their nakedness. the tundra brings her life and brighid feels invigorated, unsure if its due to the man before her or the comfort that the glacier brings.

"i've been wanting to talk to you." casual, almost coy. there is no urgency in her tone only a feminine rise that belays her wish for his company. so much had changed since he had found her in the boneyard resting atop her own grave. exploring her own feelings, adjusting to this new country and navigating the wiles of @Harou's new family had left her in situations that left her raw, with a bitter taste on her tongue. queendom had come easy to her; leading had been all she ever knew and now? "may i?" she seeks to meet his gaze, slitted pupils falling to the blood splattered spot to his side, to the gore painting his mouth, before settling on the red of his stare. however, brighid had never been one to ask for permission and she takes a slow, deliberate step closer to him, entirely predatory in nature.

ice emanates from his core; a radiant hiss of devouring light, a vehement breath of gory ambition. he feels wrathful - infuriated - those icy emotions welling hungrily in his chest, unable to contain their brumal storm any longer. silent tension is replaced by seething aggressiveness, as the winter beast tears violently into his kill, leaving haggard lines in the jagged meat - rows of crimson drenched in boozy liquid, rising like sweet bile to the surface of his mouth. visceral remains lay splattered across his blood-stained muzzle, his vampiric fangs gleaming in the darkness, backed by blue lights lent from the moon, as harou turned towards that noise, that breath of life. that source of beauty -

it is her.

@Brighid ♔ looms before him, her perfected visage stained in graceful recollection, a white viper tangled in sheets of ivory sin, a queen with a sharp, pale aura. he studies for awhile, tracing the soft arc of her high and glowing cheekbones, the gleaming white of her complexion that glistened as sweet as any moon's. it should invoke reaction within him, but harou feels cold, cold, cold. he feels dead, holllow. he pauses, breathing in between, a sinister smile now finding his obsidian lips, his own words coy and serpentine;

"ofcourse." go ahead.

a normal lion would be horrified by the viciousness with which @Harou decimates his prey. innards and gore paint him red red red. blood steams on the cold floor of the cavern. brighid doesn't flinch, unyielding to the cruelty before her, far too entranced to have the sense to leave him to bask in the glory of his throne made of bones and flesh. he is ravenous and she is restless and together, they make quite the pair.

brighid approaches at his acknowledgement, looking down at the flayed carcass. she sits across from him, lowering herself almost sphinx-like. he radiates a certain danger in this moment that brighid would be remiss not to explore. it spurns a certain eagerness that she hadn't felt since her homeland. a paw extends, seeking to grasp the corpse and unfurl her claws into what little is left of once plush fur. her pale skin is smeared red in the mess of it all and her chin tilts high to level his gaze, full lips spread into an even line in comparison to devious simper that harou wields like a weapon.

"what angers you?" or was it passion? ferality? the consequence of bearing that tamed skin that was needed to lead? her tongue clicks against the roof of her mouth, razor sharp fangs glinting in the lowlight. there's a slight quirk to her brow, a ripple on the surface of a once placid expression. her claws burrow into the lifeless skin of the deer and she leans forward over it, chest grazing the mess and pulling her muzzle closer to his own. brighid is both the moth and the flame. inexplicably drawn to him with a wild longing to raze all in her path to stay close. "i'd see them dead." she is only half joking.

blood drips in holy veneration across godless flesh. it feels almost intimate, as all that crimson wetness glides like silk between his teeth. in truth, he feels wrathful - emotions bursting at the seams, held back by a withering control. perhaps, it had indeed been the tameness of the crown; the soft face of royalty that so repulsed him -

harou was a wild man, a vengeful man, and the weight of the crown would never suit his heathenish skull. "everything angers me." he breathes quietly, intensely, muscles oozing with the wrathful temper that begged to find purchase across prey's flesh. he shakes out his thick mane, the lines beneath his eyes spoke of tired, sleepless nights. his charisma and charm had fled, leaving in the wake of him the husk of empty, masculine brutality. he was feeling restless, so he steps closer - over the kill - descending upon @Brighid ♔ as she feasts in elegance.

his mouth seek to brush against her mouth, sharply. to taste the blood from her lips.

she hums, there. a curiosity. a sadness. an inability to free him of his rage. brighid blinks at him through frost bidden lashes, her claws unfurling from the deer's flesh now that she's had a taste. this man is greedy and voracious, a different point of view from the poised king that sat at andal's helm. brighid remains still as he oversteps their meal, the squelch of blood underfoot echoing through the chamber.

as he draws near, his breath tickles her whiskers before she's pulled into the semblance of a kiss. there is a darkness here; but this dark was deep. it trails from the very tips of her claws, down each lengthy vertebrate, over the curve of her hips. he warms her with his blood and she listens eagerly to his flesh, screaming for a release, for destruction. "do i?" brighid is breathless. its a delayed response to his question as she lifts a paw, hoping to curve it over the side of @Harou's face and brush away untidy strands of his thick mane before resting at the corner of his masculine jaw.

he doesn't answer her. not this time - not with words.

he is a man cursed, destined for the grave. the blood of nations would wash down his throat, phantom memories that silenty haunt, screaming. lost in his reflection, an icy glow would emanate across her softly feminine features; the exquisite lines of her face almost gleaming like a blade, as she presses her nails into his jawline and holds his own face. for a moment, he leans quietly forward, allowing her to curl those talons beneath his chin, feeling the suppleness of her palm caress him amid the lingering cold. he has always known her touch to be soft - sensual - but this time there is a craving for more, a craving to have her whimper with a violent passion beneath him;

harou feels his icy wrath oozing from his volatile skin, the violence seething, as he suddenly and without warning leaps to his feet and launches towards her. he invites her to dance with him, as he attempts to leap upon her, trying to tackle her to the icy ground where no mattress would catch her fall. he is hungry, hungry to ravage her, hungry to dominate her, as he seeks to pin her down, an unsheathed paw attempting to press around her shoulder and pull her down.

she should see it; she should recognize the rage and the greed in the depths of those wild, scarlet eyes. there is a violence about harou, even in the stillness of his body and the volume of his silence. ( i want you, she wants to say. i want to make it better.) he is in the palm of brighid's hand and at the same time, he manages to slip right through her fingers again.

suddenly, her paw is torn away from his face as he lunges at her. its explosive, enough to catch her entirely by surprise. brighid hardly has time to react, snarling as she barely manages to scramble up into a half sit on her haunches. harou's paw unsteadies her as he holds her hard enough to carve bruises and brighid reaches upward in an attempt sling her arm about his shoulder in a violent embrace. if she topples to the floor beneath him, she wants to hold him close and first rake her claws down his back fiercely before carnally. instinctively, her jaws snake forward, aiming at his chin with an audible snap.

his aggression escalates to passionate violence; iciness radiates from their thrashing forms, flesh like cohesive latching fervently, one unto the other. he tries to tackle her down to the mattress cold earth and he half-succeeds, but she is already biting and snarling, her snapping jaws finding his jaw as blood beads beneath his chin. the rivulets slide down, glowing in their soft crinson, inciting intense pain. her claws would find his shoulders, ripping into his skin. the pain would blossom like wildfire, but harou's rage is white hot and molten, directed at her like a poised dagger as they wrestle with vehemence and hunger. attempting to pin her down so that she can't get back up, harou would sweep down, attempting to strike her chest with a sharp lovebite while his forepaws would try and clamp her down in another attempt to keep her beneath him.

its almost romantic, the way her arms surround him, the way she kisses him with not enough lip and far too much teeth. he elicits a gasp from pale lips as he bites at her chest, parting the fur and bruising the slitting the skin. his love was not tender and nor was it kind, but brighid knew long ago that she would never be deserving of the gentleness she had only heard in stories. buried beneath his weight brighid snarls, splayed like some damsel on the frozen bed. she is equally breathless as she is in a flurry to defend herself, angry and in love and awe all at once that instinct begs she complies. though there is a stubborn part of her that demands she doesn't yield and brighid makes to snap at his jawline again, almost working along with him to pull @Harou's bulk down on top of her. "you could never hate me," she near whispers into the thick strands of his mane, her words a hushed, forced pant. its an answer to her own question; a telling to herself. she could never hate him.
