Cosmin, and honestly his brother as well, were near, if not total, constants at their many hunts. She could always count on their presence and efforts in taking down the wayward beasts and this hippo was no different. As it fell, Thella gave Cosmin a thankful shoulder nudge and a smile to the rest in her gratitude, noting that many present were some of the same hunters as always. They would have plenty to take back to the caches to share with those who were not able to participate. She hoped as the young ones of the pride grew to age, that they too would be willing to help out in anyway they could. For now, she set to work divvying up the meat for transport.

From the moment that the hippo was felled, Juliette took a very long moment to catch her breath and to stretch her legs and body to make sure that she hadn't been injured. It was easy to not recognize getting hurt in a hunt when your adrenaline is working overtime but thankfully she doesn't find anything except a few sore joints. With some victory chuffing she waits for everyone to grab their fill of whatever piece of the pie they wanted before moving in to assist with taking the hippo apart for its parts and moving them to the caches. exit juliette

karsa's paws dig in hard to bring his body to a stop as @Cosmin appears and lands the final blow on the hippopotamus. the great beast is felled with a loud groan that reverberates through the stone hallways of obsidian, sure to wake any that had chosen this hour for their mid-day naps. sorry, no sleeping today!

though karsa doesn't mind. he, much like thella, takes a long break to catch his breath as the man's body sags against one of the rock tunnels with heaving sides. as the members gather, he shoots them all a pleased smile and a word of gratitude for joining the hunt on such short notice. once the soreness of his muscles fades a little, the young savante gets to work hauling the fresh meat deeper into the hollows to be stared safely in their caches.

Cosmin gives @Thella ♔ a long shoulder nudge back as he pauses to catch his breath, letting his gaze trail from the dirt below him to the others that had gathered. @Karsa was a good figure to always have in the hunts and most of the time he always seemed to forget that technicality Karsa was only a half-brother. Too often he felt that Karsa was his true full blooded brother, not that it mattered but it was a piece of information that always felt like a fishslap. He moves in quickly beside the two friends of his and makes the work to help them take the food elsewhere. exit cosmin

The boys were a force to be reckoned with when they worked together, Angelo noted. He was so proud of the both of them, and how they had grown. He'd been so worried when they were first born, thinking he wouldn't make a good father, but clearly he'd done something right. Or perhaps it had nothing to do with him, and it was due to everyone they had grown up around. That seemed far more likely to him. Still, he saw bits of himself in Cosmin. The boy was the best parts of him, and then some. Granted, they both shared that joy of finding a nice patch in the sun to nap in, but still it worked out. He was grateful for that and more as he began to haul chunks of their catch to the caches.

More food was always a good thing. It had taken him so long to get used to hunting in a group, and he still wasn't entirely fond of it, but it was far easier than doing so alone. It also allowed for bringing down much larger prey, as he would be a fool to go after something like a warthog or even a giraffe or hippopotamus calf on his own, to say nothing of the adults. So, yes, this was easier and better all around, but tigers were at their nature more solitary creatures, and even generations of his family living with lions couldn't change that. But he made things work, and helped everyone reap the spoils.
