Evening has come. The sun is well into the west, at Pyrrha's back. She looks to the east and out over the ever darkening waves. In and out, in and out. She recalls once watching for hours and seeing the water level slowly climb up, and then back down. Like the whole of the ocean was the side of a great creature taking a deep breath. Maybe it was.

With that thought in mind are dips a toe into the waves, foam curling around her paw and sand shifting at her touch. She feels the chill of the water and then relished the feeling of the wave coming back again to crash into her toe and foot. Over and over, ceaseless motion and energy. It never stops. Nor shall I She promises aloud while one by one stars in a maroon and indigo sky begin to spread.

He had been exploring the world just beyond the cove. The coast hadn’t been carefully surveyed when he had first arrived in Amaryllis and ventured close to the cove borders. Now he was taking the time to see what was happening along the shoreline. The dark sand was rather interesting and unusual since the cove itself had pale sand. Though what caught his attention most was a voice.

'Nor shall I.'

Sniffing the air he only really smiled the sea but there was the scent of a female drifting on the wind. Following the scent he stepped upon @Pyrrha ♔ sitting with her paw in the water. Stopping near her but not too close he cleared his throat softly before calling out to her. "Pleasant evening miss. The stars look like they shall be joining us tonight." He said with a charming smile as he settled himself into a sit. His eyes looking at her for a moment before his gaze turned upwards towards the stars as they were beginning to come out.

A too familiar and beloved scent creeps across her consciousness. It's ingrained in her mind, and for a brief second she didn't even recognize someone was coming closer draped in the cloak of Caladan. It's his voice that draws her back to the moment. Pleasant evening miss. Pyrrha turns to his attention, to sweep her eyes in immediate judgement over his features and his body. He's a stranger. But he's of the Cove.

"Hello." She has to be conservative, she has to be restricted in what she does and says. Nothing about him she recognizes and it does not seem that he knows he. He's got the potential that every stranger has for her... "I'm Pyrrha, and who might be joining me and the stars?" She asks with a tilt of her head.

The strife between the Cove of new and old was not something he has privy to as it was before his time. Before his arrival in the land. Though he was aware that the crown of the current queens was new. Won in fair competition. Even if others decided it wasn’t fair that they lost their home to another fighting for territory wasn’t a new concept it was just another thing that happens in the natural order of things.

In any case that wasn’t something he was concerning himself about as he sat nearby @Pyrrha ♔. His attention returned to her once she spoke to him. "You have a lovely name Lady Pyrrha. I am Milano Huntsong." He chuffed politely.

Would she see this lion when she went back to fight for her home? To earn it as was always her dream? Pyrrha's mind began to race and wander as was often normal for her schemes. Would it be more advantageous to try and gain something by letting him know her secrets and goals? Would it be more enjoyable to see his face when she came? There's a number of doors open, more than there stars over head. You which she looked up in admiration for a little while. The brightest of them in full force already.

"You flatter me Milano." She says with a soft laugh. At least he's friendly. "Are you here for the ocean view or to star gaze?" What's your poetic poison?

Telling him her plans would have been an interesting thing to do. He would have nothing against her trying to take back her old home he was indifferent about fights over territory. Perhaps in time when he is older and more confident he too shall fight for territory. Once he has found a mate and starts a family. For now he was content with working up the hierarchy one level at a time. Though that being said if she told him her plans he would have to inform his queens.

For the moment he was none the wiser of any of her plans. Gaze lingered upon @Pyrrha ♔ for a moment more before turning to gaze again at the dark sand around them. "I wished to explore the area around. I have never seen anything like ashen sand before." He explained as he picked up a paw full and let it flow back down from between his toes. His blue eyes would then look up at the heavens just in time to spot a shooting star. "A racing star! The Great Huntress smiles upon us tonight." He said cheerfully but softly at the same time.

I do love it out here. He's got good taste to be intrigued and drawn to the dark shore. She wiggles a paw around in the sands and shuffles some up into her lifting paw. A few inches up she turns her paw and lets the black sand fall back to the rest. As the night creeps in it gets even darker out here, it's hard to tell where ocean begins at the end of the ashen sand except that the water began to reflect back the stars, rippling and twinkling white speckles. In the waves and ocean Pyrrha sees the shooting star that he's happily called out.

The Great Huntress? Huntsong? She narrows her eyes upon him in curious, but deep, study as if she could gleam anything from the intensity of her stare. "Hunting must be very important to you?" She half asks and half guesses.

He must’ve sounded strange to the lioness with his sudden outburst. They had been having a pleasant conversation one moment then he had been talking about the Great Huntress giving praise the next. Chuckling softly he closed his eyes and calm himself before reply. "Apologies for the outburst. Yes. Hunting is important in my family. In my mother’s youth she watched many of her family die of hunger. So she made it important for her children to know the importance of hunting and being able to not just feed ourselves but others in need." He didn’t go into much detail about it because his mother’s past truly wasn’t his story to tell. "I was taught that seeing a racing star means that one shall have good fortune coming." Rather that was good fortune in hunting or in general he didn’t say for that was up to @Pyrrha ♔ to decide.

His apology is met with a friendly dismissive 'psssh' sound from her lips and a wave of her paw as if ushering away the entire apology. Be passionate, you have every reason to be. Milano has unknowingly struck a weak spot in Pyrrha as he brings up his mother and what her teachings were. Your mother must be very skilled. Hunting to feed many isn't easy. It took effort to keep the pride caches full, and perhaps the one silver lining to living as a rogue now was that the number of mouths to feed has dropped significantly.

I have heard similar, but I've heard you're supposed to think of a wish or something you specific you want. But in general, not too different of an idea. It seemed shared between them that shooting stars = good. His belief sounded more nebulous, you would not know what this fortune was. Hers you had to have things in mind you wanted and were working towards, a direction for this strange cosmic energy to follow.

At her words about being passionate his grin grew. Head nodding he would keep that in mind. Sometimes others hated passion in the beliefs of others so he hadn’t been sure how much @Pyrrha ♔ would be on that bandwagon, but it seemed she wasn’t even near it. Maybe she was also one of those with open minds that snarled at it as it galloped by?

Anyway he just nodded more as the topic turned to an enjoyable one. "Yes. She has even taken down a bull elephant. It is how our surname came to be. Her King at the time impressed gave it to her." He had heard the story many times from her when he was younger and still with her. "The hunt had taken place in a place called Wolfbron Bluff." He explained not knowing that the bluff was a place in Amaryllis. Who knows maybe one day he’ll learn that and maybe one day he'll lead the bluffs. For now he was content just chatting with the lovely lioness here on the beach.

"I wonder what the stars look like there." He mused before he went silent. Thinking now about the idea of making a wish on a star for good fortune. "That is an interesting concept. Perhaps both come from the same idea source?" He pondered a loud.
