She walks up to the nearest cliff face. She comes up close enough she can feel the heat radiating off of the stone from the since set sun. Above her were a few ledges spaced intermittently apart, the first an easy reach but gradually up higher the ledges are either smaller or further spaced apart.

She coils up her body, leg muscles twitching, and then she releases herself up into a jump on the first ledge she'd spotted. And then there is a haul up to the next. At this point she turns and looks for @Milano. "You got it?" She did not want to get too high before giving him, and thus her, a chance to back out. Maybe he'll discover a fear of heights?

The cliffs at the ash colored shore and those at the entrance to the cove seemed similar in his opinion. Though he couldn’t see himself up on the cliffs in this area watching guard. Maybe the view would be nice and he could watch the stars or the weather over the sea.

Watching @Pyrrha ♔ jumping up to the ledges he couldn’t help but speak out loud. "How gracefully done." The words slipped out in a friendly tone as he watched her. As she spoke to him he cleared his throat and shook his head. Focus! Stepping back he jumped from the ground to the ledge. Making his way up to her he slipped. His back right paw slipped out from under him on the last jump but he was able to pull himself back up onto his paws. Giving a grin like nothing had happened he said. "Easy peasy." He wasn’t scared of heights but clearly he wasn’t as graceful with cliff jumping as others.

"Don't fall." She says with a grin and then turns to finish the climb the rest of the way up the cliff. Her arms reach up above her head for one last pull. With a grunt and kick of her hind legs on the stone face she scrambles up to the top. Panting some and winded she is treated to a wide view of the dark ocean. Inky, unfathomable depths below that impenetrable dark shield of a surface. Stars and clouds reflect back up and it looks more like the sky has dropped down and is trying to feast upon the land wave after wave.

She glances over to @Milano, first to see if he needed any help up the rest of the way but then to see what he thought of this view. If it met his expectations or not.

"Don’t fall."

The words reach him and he smirks. Looking at @Pyrrha ♔ he gives a big toothy grin. "I’ll try not too." He replies as he really didn’t want to fall so of course would be actually trying to not fall. Following after her he pulled himself upwards waiting on ledges and taking a break for a few seconds as he waited for her to get up. He even offered his head to step on for footing at one point.

Finally at the top ledge he hauled himself up with a tired grunt. His muscles burned. Settling next to the pretty lady his face turned to one of awe. Looking out it was like the darkness of the sky and sea became one. "So pretty." He cooed. "It is like the starlight is endless. The sea is beautiful like this." He didn’t say it but he did hint that he didn’t like something about the sea normally. Milano wasn’t scared of heights but he was scared of the deep dark bottomless ocean.

She turns and grind his way as he successfully made it up and settled down next to n her. "Hey you didn't fall!" She says with a laugh and leans over to very very lightly nudge his shoulder with hers. She did not want to jostle him off balance.

"I don't think I've ever seen the ocean like this. It really does go in forever doesn't it?" There's no end- only a horizon and tonight even that was hard to discern out among the stars and dark indigo of sky. She lifts a paw and held it out in front of her, she used her paw to block out some of the stars and she squints, trying to look past her paw and discern distance. To absolutely no luck or any answer found. "Do you think you could reach the stars? If you got out far enough into the ocean?" She lowers her paw back to the ground and felt her mind running, wondering, and thinking for the first time in a good while on something intangible and less immediate. True wondering.

Panting and catching his breath from the workout he just had getting up here the young lion couldn’t help but stare out at the darkness. The stars danced off the dark seas melting sea and sky. It was breathtaking. "Indeed it is beautiful." He cooed as he closed his eyes for a moment feeling the breeze against his face. “And the wind up here feels wonderful." He added just being honest in this blissful moment.

"I don’t know. Maybe if you go far enough. I traveled a bit outside of Amaryllis from the valley I was born in, but maybe if one would to explore farther than here they’ll find the edge of the world and be able too?" He pondered about it. He wasn’t sure if one could find the edge of the world but maybe. It got him thinking but he didn’t want to go find out. He wasn’t looking to leave the cove, let alone Amaryllis anytime soon.

"I think it'd be peaceful to find the end and just-" She lifts a paw again and makes a smooth wave motion across in front of them. "float out into the stars." Had anyone ever touched one before? For all the lions who try have any actually reached the stars or did they settle at the top of whatever ladder they climbed without trying to build it higher? They reached the top of the cliff together and Pyrrha wanted higher, wanted grander views and to do what no one had before. Such was the lengths of her ambition.

Slowly her paw sinks back down to sit beside the other and she's treated with a refreshing breeze, the aroma of salt and Caladan carried from Milano over to her and she feels nostalgic, longing, driven. "Was it hard to leave the valley you were born in?" She asks and glances over his way.

Letting out a soft humming sound he thinks about it. "Riding the waves out into the stars does sound nice, but also sounds lonely. Maybe if there was someone to sail out with." Amused by @Pyrrha ♔ he took a deep breath and then let out a deep content sigh. Relaxing he thought about what it would be like to swim in the stars. "Just how far do you think they go? I wonder if there is another world out there in the stars just waiting to be explored." As curios as he was Amaryllis was his home now. So he couldn’t just runaway to the edge of the earth and beyond.

At her question about the valley he grew up in his mind was brought back. "Well my mother ran a school there. One that taught teamwork and hunting to orphans and cubs from neighboring prides. As well as a few adults. It wasn’t so bad but after my dad died in a fire my mom retired and wandered off. I followed her just to the border of Amaryllis." Shrugging again he didn’t lie to her about any of it. Even if someone might think it was a crazy story.

She doesn't disagree. It would be a lonely journey. But if there were not someone willing to go with her, someone who could keep up... she'd make the jump alone. Pyrrha would rather see the stars and suffer an eternity of loneliness than to remain on the earth never knowing what it's like. "I think they go forever. Maybe there are more worlds along the way but I don't think there is an end." It, she, was never finished.

She's caught then with interest as he begins to talk about what his mother built, what she worked towards. "I like your mother." She says with a grin, not knowing this woman but admiring her nevertheless. She did something, she made a difference in other lion's lives. Something to her name. It's a shame she felt the need to leave it behind over a man. "Your mother is here too? Is she trying to build another school?"

As fun as the journey sounded he would give it up to enjoy life with friends and loved ones. Maybe if there was a choice he would decide to explore the stars in the afterlife. Who knows maybe that is what shooting stars are? Soul out exploring and playing in the heavens? He could only dream and hope. "Hmm, exploring new strange worlds could be fun." He mused as he stared up at the stars.

Going quiet he pondered about it until @Pyrrha ♔ broke the silence. A smile crossed his face at her comment about liking his mother. It was nice to hear but at her question he shrugged. "I don’t know where she is. It is possible that she is. Wherever she is and whatever she is doing I just hope she is happy and loved." He could go off and find her and maybe he would but for now he was content in this moment.
