The recession of winter had her more active, the slight arthritis she had been experiencing going away for the most part as the temperatures began to stabilize and warm up. Icefang had decided to take a short stroll, checking the condition of the grove outside of Vermeda Brook. Maybe she'd get lucky and find a snack. This area had been well stocked regardless of the season and she had felt confident about the lands she had staked claim to. Moving at a turtle's pace, she occasionally looks around keeping her senses about her as she moves deeper into the grove, away from home.

She has been to the Grove once before. Though it was brief and she hadn't seen much of it, today was different. Aphrodite was in search of some herbs since she had kept herself in the Cove, though she hadn't been officially released from the Oasis, and needed to get her plants restocked. There were a few that she was in search of but one she was specifically wanting and with the winter now gone with Spring grabbing a hold of the lands, Aphrodite had a feeling she might find it easier. Though it seemed that she was not the only one in the Grove as a white flash of fur caught her attention and she traveled through the undergrowth towards the Brook Queen. Fancy seeing you here. She would muse, keeping an eye out for the plant she was searching for.

She is not alone for long, @Aphrodite ♔'s voice cutting through the low muffle of the grove. There are birds overhead chirping in the trees and occasionally a squirrel can be found among the branches hauling their acorns from winter stores. "Of course," she replies her blue orbs roaming over the fresh scars that marred the lioness's pelt. "I may not publicly lay claim to these parts of the grove, but I see them as mine all the same." Now, she didn't felt the need to drive the darker, maned woman off but she figures she is either exploring or searching for something in the forest. "Looking for something?"

Well she wasn't being kicked out and that was a good indication, surely. Ears twisting on top of her head as she would walk closer to @Icefang ♔, her violet jewels glancing around the area they were in, seeking out any plants that she might be able to take back home after this meeting. But once Icefang's voice reached her ears Aphrodite would glance over at her and would give a slight nod. I will have to remember that the next time I've come through. She would muse before answering Icefang's next question. I am actually. I seek out plants do you know any? She would soon ask, raising an eyebrow at her companion.

Icefang smirks, but does not say anything further about her feelings towards ownership of the grove. A brow is raised at her and she is questioned regarding knowing any plants. "This area is full of them," she states before shaking her ivory crown slightly. "Unfortunately, I know more about fighting than I do about what grows from the ground." That's what she had medics and assassins for. That was their specialty, while she made sure that she kept a roof over their heads. "Though...if you guide me perhaps I can help you look." An offer, but also a chance to know @Aphrodite ♔ a bit further.

@Icefang ♔ seemed to know about the area well enough to know that plants were here but whether or not she knew about the good or bad plants was what she didn't know. A dark grin formed on her features as Aphrodite would walk towards the white lioness and would nod her head. Well, I will gladly share some of my knowledge with you. She would muse the white lioness before she began to walk through the Grove. Her violet jewels scanned the areas for a few plants. There was at least two different plants that she wanted to gather before she left and they weren't here anymore. There are two different plants I am searching for. Both have white flowers however the difference is one has multiple white flowers while the other just has one blooming. She would explain to Icefang with confidence.

There is agreement. An exchange of information for helping to look. The high sovereign falls into line behind @Aphrodite ♔, following her lead as she listens quietly to the instructions given. They were simple, but Icefang wonders if perhaps there is anything that could make this task faster. "Reckon there's a distinct smell?" She questions, blue orbs roaming over the forest floor in search of the white flowers. She begins to head off in a random direction, staying close to make their communication easy while she searches. After some time she finds a patch of flowers that seem to be fresh. There wasn't much, but she issues a chuff to Aphrodite to beckon her over. "What about these?" An ivory paw points at the small area she has found.

As they walked, Aphrodite would listen to @Icefang ♔ as she began to ask questions and Aphrodite found herself chuckling. I'm sure the flowers smell lovely. She would muse, knowing that most flowers did and the dangerous ones didn't normally give their true purpose away. Her ears twisting as she walked through the Grove, her nose twitching like a bunny as she began to try and smell to find them. It was at that point that Icefang called her over towards an area and Aphrodite would turn her direction towards the white lioness as she spotted the flower and gave a grin. Oh yes, and they are new growth which means if I am careful enough I can uproot them and plant them back at the Cove. She would muse, though it was a thought more to herself than the Brook Queen.

Slowly Aphrodite moved towards the white flower, smelling it was delightful but she knew that if she wasn't careful it'd cause her all kinds of issues. Sitting there, Aphrodite would tilt her head as she tried to figure out how she'd uproot it without digesting it or even ruining the thing before she took it home. This is called Horse Chestnut. You don't want to digest this plant without an antidote. There were many things it could cause and though death wouldn't be caused by the plant specifically, death would be the end of an enemy was the one who dealt the plant to her.

@Aphrodite ♔ comes over, confirming that the white patch is the correct flowers that she was searching for. Well, wasn't she lucky then to find something that looked like any ordinary flower to her. "Beginner's luck," she rumbles an ear flicking to catch the dark woman's words. "I thought I had detected a new scent on you. Got tired of the Oasis?" She asks though the Cove wasn't much different in terms of sand. Though Icefang supposed the ocean made for a nicer distraction than a bunch of palm trees. She tried not to judge those that lived there, but wondered if they had failed to notice how much more habitable other parts of Amaryllis were. Whatever.

When she steps up to inspect the flower and analyze how to uproot it, the Brook queen would remain in her spot and let the pro handle it. She did not care to find out herself what exactly this flower could do to make the cove lioness interested in it. "Maybe pluck it with your toes? Probably have to give them a good wash after." If she couldn't use her jaws then surely it was unsafe to lick any fur that got soiled.

Aphrodite would chuckle as she kept her gaze on the plant before them. Ears twisted on top of her head which was the only indication that she was listening to @Icefang ♔ when she spoke about the Oasis. Glancing briefly over towards the white lioness Aphrodite would give her a dark smirk. I never have the intention of staying in the Oasis for very long, Harou even knew that. She would state honestly, looking back to the plant. I had made a deal with Miaran that whoever fought for a pride and one the other would be their equal. She would muse.

And then Icefang suggested about plucking it with her toes and Aphrodite thought that was a good idea but she needed the roots too. I would need to dig deep enough to uproot it if I want to plant it in my garden. She would muse, But that is definitely a good idea. And then she glanced around, looking for a leaf big enough to wrap around the roots and the entire plant so that she could carry it without having to worry about getting it in her mouth and digesting it. I need a really big leaf to wrap it in.
