With a huff the large teen would drop his catch at his feet, it was a impala with a broken horn and it’s left eye was blind. Clearly it had lived its life to the fullest, jaws were gaped while he panted above the meal looking for Banazir. He was going to keep the skull, a rare thing to see an impala with a broken horn like this, such a thing should be kept he mused. Though he was prepared to offer Banazir a trade, the boys both held their own storage caches of trinkets and things, what could Ban offer him in exchange for this unique skull? If he wanted it that was.

With a huff the teenager would flop onto his side his paws draped over the carcass in case anyone had the dumb idea to try and steal it off him. At best this would be a meal for his mothers, considering Fenna a mother more than a aunt at this stage, though he was cautious of how he expressed that title in front of others.

Banazir had been napping in a dark corner of the space they called home. They moved into the mountains away from the open fields which was both great and sad. Ban had liked the open space more so than the narrow winding paths of the mountain. At least the view here was pretty with the waterfall and that hidden cave behind it. But it was also just a lot of rocks and snow. Banazir secretly hoped mother wouldn't decide to stay here permanently, not that he would complain if she did but he really didn't wanna stay on the cold rocky mountain.

As @Vesemir's voice echoes through the blue dragonet lifts his head and yawnes. Ves was back? And was it food Ban was smelling in the air? Ban stands stretching and licking his lips before heading towards his brother the scent and sight of the impala makes his mouth water.

"That's a great catch Ves" the blue dragonet purrs smiling from ear to ear as he approaches his brother circling the other and his kill once with a silly goofy smile on his lips. The Impala looked like it had seen better days one eye was white and its horn was broken. Well, that could have happened during the hunt, but Fenna had once said getting stabbed by a horn was a painful and slow death. And Ves was very much alive and didn't seem to be bleeding.

"I'm sure Auntie Fenna will be impressed" Ban spoke certain their aunt, who kinda also was a mom but had never been introduced as such. And Ban sure as hell wasn't gonna ask Narsil if Fenna was also a mom to them so.. auntie it was...

“this isn’t for ma Fenna,” he quipped watching his brother circle him, he affectionately called Fenna ‘ma’ but to him it was another word for aunt. Or at least one like her. Someone who helped watch and raise them, protect them. It was a term of affection for aunts that did more than be present in their lives.

However despite the pedestal he placed her on, this was not something he had done for her praise. “This is for us, eat.” He said it firmly, moving to brush himself along Banazir's side before turning to lay down and face the impala he had left on the ground.

Vesemir showed affection differently than Banazir might, though it could be said he showed it far more than Narsil did. He also was very choosy on who received his affections. Banazir was born with the right to receive them, as his littermate and sibling. Stretching out a bit he yawned before he began to groom his fur a bit.

“So, have they said where we might go next?” he asked voice casual and curious, they often eavesdropped on their mother and Fenna’s conversations about where they might go. But Vesemir had heard the calls of challenges ring out lately and he wondered if they might be stuck here a little longer.

For them to eat? He wasn't going to share it with Fenna and Mother? That seemed kinda cold, didn't it? But Ban also wasn't going to question his brother's gift?. It would be rude and Ban didn't wanna be rude to his brother. He'd much rather be thankful. "Thanks, Ves" he hummed smiling as his brother brushed against him, and Banazir made an effort to nuzzle his face against the other's frame as he passed.

When his brother settled down so did Ban. Taking a seat across from his brother on the other side of the impala. He'd also lay down stretching as he did so, before making himself comfortable.

At @Vesemir's question, Ban shook his head a hint of sadness on his features "No, not yet" he spoke feeling the faint worry that Mother might just make them stay. Not that he'd tell her he didn't want to but Ves. Ves he would tell "You don't think they're gonna choose to stay here do you?" his tone carries the sound of his worry as his brows knit together with the emotion.

Vesemir knew his mothers had the full ability to feed themselves, whereas they did not. They were young and inexperienced, and once their manes grew in they would have a even harder time of it. Noting his brother mirroring him across the impala he would nod to the meal again, giving it a bit of a shove to jostle it at his brothers feet. Encouraging him to do what he had asked.


“I doubt it. But… I don’t know if we should linger near them much longer?” he said with a slow cautious tone, he did not want to part from them but at the same time he very much wanted to. He would not be branded the mother’s doting son like his elder siblings, but if Banazir wanted to stay then so would Vesemir. “I don’t want to be some warrior for some pride,” he muttered quietly, referring to their elder brother who now was lost without a king to serve. “I want to explore, see all of I can of Amaryllis and seize what I want with my own claws” he said with a slightly dreamy look crossing his gaze before he shook his head.

At his brother's display Ban digs in tearing into the meal with a hunger he didn't realize he had. It tasted great, perhaps because he hadn't hunted it himself and because @Vesemir had brought it for them. A gift, and Banazir was happy his brother had brought it for him.

However, at his brother's words, the blue dragon boy stops, swallowing what's in his mouth as he gazes at his brother's brows furrowing concerned. Vesemir wanted to leave their mom and Fenna? Banazir hadn't even considered that option. To Banazir leaving their small family behind had been unthinkable but not to Ves. To his brother the world seemed so much bigger, so much richer.

"I don't even know what I wanna be" the dragonet replies with a soft sigh feeling unbelievably small all of a sudden. "But I don't think I want that either" he speaks with a bit more resolve as he lifts his gaze to meet Vesemirs. Part of him wanted to stay with their family, to keep living as their little group undisturbed by reality. But that group had been gone for months, their older brothers had left them behind already.

"I don't wanna leave without saying goodbye" he tells his brother pawing at the meal. He wanted to say goodbye to their mothers and perhaps a small part of him wanted their approval in leaving. Wanted to know they'd be okay and not angry with the two brothers' decision.

This would be the moment they would part ways, angry bitter words spat at each other in place of claws and teeth. Words that dug deeper into the flesh than such weapons. They would swear that they were right in their own convictions! However none of this would happen as Vesemir heaved a sigh. Maybe it was happening in someone else's lives but not theirs.


Moving to brush his head against his siblings he would lay down beside him and grumble a bit to himself. Vesemir would not see himself parted from Banazir's side just yet, and if his sibling did not want to fly on his own then neither would Vesemir. ".. Mother mentioned returning to the lagoon" he muttered to his sibling looking at his brother.

"Can we lag behind a bit at least.. so we appear more adult like?" he asked him with a half twitch of a smile. He was giving in to his brothers wants this time, and Banazir should count himself so lucky.
