August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Below are the new trade perks! We have also included some Q&As to help with things a little. If you have questions or if anything is unclear, please ask in the Discord thread for the perks!

Please remember these are NOT live and should not be used anywhere on site aside from the proper testing area!

Extra/Special Notes
After discussions with the Trade Team, the following new guidelines will apply to trades. These changes will be explained and reflected in the Guidebook.

  • If a perk stipulates "pride", it is also applicable to marked band members. If a perk says "band", it only applies to marked band members.
  • We will no longer be allowing trades to be doubled-up on for Master and Sub-Master. Every character will need to have different Master and Sub-Master trades – i.e., you can’t be both a Master and Sub-Master Ranger on the same account.
  • When engaging in fights (excluding DMs), there are limits to the extra dice you can claim from different perks. You can claim:
    • All of your own dice perks (perks resulting from your own trade levels or from your rank within the pride);
    • +1 dice from the occupational perk of another character/pride-member (i.e. Lead Scout +1 luck perk); and
    • +1 dice from someone else’s trade perk (i.e. +1 luck from a Master Pathfinder).

In other words, you cannot stack multiple trade or occupational perks from others. For example, if there are 3 Master Pathfinders in a given thread, you can only claim one +1 luck, not +3 luck.

AMBASSADOR


Level 1: +1 to luck rolls
Level 2: Can oversee rank challenges and approve promotions on behalf of leadership (up to and including occupational ranks; excludes prisoners)
Level 3: Can recruit regardless of rank in Maua’s Passage
Level 4: Become a master of charm (+1 to dodge rolls)
Level 5: Can defend members of their pride or an allied pride against theft regardless of rank


MASTER PERKS (pick two)

  • Can hold elections to save their pride or an allied pride from disbanding (thread must begin within 48 hours of disbandment notification)
  • Extends the cooldown of their pride after a challenge by 1 OOC month (must remain a member of the pride during this time)
  • Knows the names of all pride leaders and their alliances
  • 50% chance to prevent a theft challenge from being made against them when in any pride-lands
  • Home-turf advantage (+1 luck to pride-mates and allies when fighting in the Ambassador’s pride-lands)


SUB-MASTER PERKS (pick one)

Q&As
Are leaders still able to overrule a lvl 2 ambassador perk?
  • Yes they are able to if they wish to.
Can rogue level 3 ambassadors recruit in the passage to start a band?
  • No, this is only viable for characters who are in a pride or band already
Are rogue level 5 ambassadors locked out of that perk?
  • Yes they are.
How is an election to save a pride from disbanding done?
  • When a disbandment has been decided and there is not a current subleader able to take over the pride, Sr Staff starts making their way down the ranks. Higher ranked characters with the ability to save the pride from disbandment are contacted. If they accept, then the process for their perk starts.
    • For Ambasssador saving their own pride: Sr Staff will contact the member, they accept and will have 48 hours to start the thread in their pride lands calling the members to them and having a “vote” of who will be the new leader. ICly this can play out in whatever way feels the most natural, a fight, vote by voice, etc. The thread must be finished and a new leader decided within two weeks of being started. If it is not finished and a new leader clearly accepted, the pride will disband.
    • For Ambasssador saving an allied pride: Must be listed on the pride page before disbandment. Sr Staff will contact the member based on highest rank in the pride, they accept and will have 48 hours to start the thread in the allied pride lands calling the members to them and having a “vote” of who will be the new leader. ICly this can play out in whatever way feels the most natural, a fight, vote by voice, etc. The thread must be finished and a new leader decided within two weeks of being started. If it is not finished and a new leader clearly accepted, the pride will disband.
    • Whatever character is selected, must meet all leadership requirements prior to taking the role.
How does extending the cooldown for a pride after a challenge work?
  • If the current pride leader wins, the ambassador needs to have already been in the pride and remain in the pride until the end of the cooldown. Whatever cooldown the pride leader is given after the challenge, one month is added on. If the ambassador leaves or goes inactive before the end of the extra month, the remainder of the cooldown perk is lost. If a new leader wins or gains the pride via a claim, the ambassador must join the pride prior to the original cooldown ending and must remain a member of the pride until the added cooldown is finished.

  • 50% chance to non-lethally poison another character (incurs them a 2 week wounded roll, once per 3 OOC months)
  • 50% chance to go unnoticed in AW threads in pride territories (can't be discovered)
  • Start a prisoner fight outside of a war/raid (once per 3 ooc months)

  • Reverse the effects of another Assassin's poison (once per thread and within 1 OOC week of the poisoning; at least 2 posts actively working on reversing the effect)

How is a prisoner fight outside of a war/raid done?
  • Follows the rules of an imprisonment fight, omitting the war/raid part.
What does reverse the effects of another assassin’s poison do?
  • It fully removes the wounded roll attached to the one who was poisoned.

Q&As

How does taking the throne of the pride work?
  • When a disbandment has been decided and there is not a current subleader able to take over the pride, Sr Staff starts making their way down the ranks. Higher ranked characters with the ability to save the pride from disbandment are contacted. If they accept, then the process for their perk starts.
    • For Barbarian taking over the pride they are currently in: Sr Staff will contact the member, they accept and will be moved into the HS spot. They will have 72 hours to make sure they are meeting the posting requirements for the position and get the pride page updated.
How does invoking a warrior’s fury work?
  • After winning a fight (or using your lvl 2 perk) you can have another fight that does not have fatigue dice. You may only skip the fatigue dice for your second fight and only once in a thread.

Q&As
How does the randomized dice work?
  • Using the dice system code, it will tell you what dice you are able to add to the next round of your fight. You can only use this perk once per thread.
How does mooching off another skill work?
  • You would put the trade level perk you are mooching at the top of the post and be able to use it in that thread only. Any perks that are long term (ie: able to recruit in the passage, able to fabricate pride scents, knows the history of idols and guardians) can only be used in that thread. Perks based on the trade (making an outlaw band) are not able to be used.
