Sparring with the sister who warmed his spot was fine, but he craved to test his mettle against true warriors. For in his mind, no one in Caladan would dare challenge him as brutally as he needs. Save for Father, of course. But the boy would not face his father at anything other than his best.

But he would not enter the pit with dull weapons.

He brought a bone with him. Something to chew on while he watched the other battles in the pit below. Dinner and a show. He chewed on the bone, feeling his teeth sharpen with every bite. Eventually, however, he grew tired of it and tasted it somewhere outside the pit before he returned to descend down the crater.

Calling out, he waited for his opponent to approach.

There's still much of the province to explore; but unfamiliarity was a welcomed comrade for the lilac woman. She danced around it's proverbial feet and lapped up the strange customs of these lands with a stark fascination. Though there is only a bemused expression worn upon her dark complexion when she hears the call. With her ears cupped forward her direction shifts, shadow stepping her way toward the pit to discover the yearling within. Her mismatched eyes flit from left to right before she traipses casually; carelessly into the gladiators ring.

"You called." I answered. - the invitation to make a move or talk, is out in the open now. There's a cunning mirth in her gaze, not yet aware why she's answered the beckon. Though one might easily mistake her aloofness for insult perhaps, as if she might not see the young man before her as carrying any real merit or threat. Come on then.

The woman who appeared was older — perhaps more experienced? He could not tell, of course, never truly believing that older meant better. Perhaps if he were more small-minded, the idea of entering a match he was unlikely to win would have cowed him. But that, he thought, sounded too much like Saeros.

He was going to be a king, after all.

Fear did not become him.

And so, as the woman simply responded — yes, he had called and oh, how glorious it would be when crowds would gather at the booming of his voice — Drauhir nodded. She would be acceptable for today. Admittedly, the look in her eyes provokes him and for that, he was glad she seemed to be allowing him to go first.

Foolish.

Charging forward to quickly close the game between them, Drauhir, coming at her only slightly at an angle, duh his hindpaws into the ground and attempted to launch his shoulder (and the rest of his momentum) towards the center of her chest and the bottom of her throat.

No claws.

Yet.

Aneistri was there on important business: herb collection. She knew they were here. Plants tended to grow everywhere, and the constant movement along the edges of the deep divot in the earth kept the ground clear enough of snow for a few hardier plants to keep growing despite the cold. She couldn’t blame the other plants for going dormant; she wasn’t really a fan of the cold either.

Her breath fogged as she paused beside one little bundle of baby bush, barely hanging on in the snow, and set to work trying to extract it from the earth. Somewhere in the midst of that she realized she was not the only one there at the Pit; the sounds of a scuffle drifted up toward her upon her vantage point. She glanced over one shoulder in the direction of the scuffle, intending to give it no more attention than that—gathering plants was important work—but she quickly found herself distracted.

Fighting was in her blood. Her parents had both been avid fighters, skilled beyond compare—even her dead mother. Somehow the sight made her vaguely sick…and yet also made her antsy, itchy, and Ani's claws flexed into the snowy earth beneath her as she watched.

Neeha Tollaire

Neeha was not overly worried about her siblings, not anymore. They were growing like weed, catching up to both her and Pyrrha. Well almost, her little brother was still just freshly a yearling. So perhaps this was why she'd followed his trail when she crossed it outside the cove. She wasn't concerned just curious about what he was up to. Of course, she didn't wanna make a fuss, didn't want him feeling watched or caged. Knowing she herself would hate that feeling. So she ensured to cover her fur in dirt and grass. Alongside what was left of fallen autumn leaves and anything else that could help mask the scent in her fur.

When that was done she'd follow his trail, surprised as the rocky depths of the pit came into view. Perhaps he was looking to test his skills?

The yearling kept low to the ground, moving closely against rocks and boulders to try and blend in as she settled in the shadow of a rock when her little brother came into view. She could feel worry and anger bloom in her gut as her eyes landed on the adult lioness answering her yearling brother's call. If @Reverie dared to seriously hurt @Drauhir ♔ she would come to regret it. Neeha would ensure it, nothing, and no one would harm her family and walk away unscathed. No matter who the woman allied herself with she would not be safe, though by her scent Neeha would assume her to be a rogue.

Reverie may have had a few extra seasons on the boy yes, but it wasn't as if the lion before her was dwarfed by the lilac lioness. At least not in height anyway; if she had to guess, Reverie supposed he would fill out in the coming year more. Scantly wondering if he'd end up as large as Cassius or Mircea even - who knew really? Only fools put size and skill in the same cup. The Iscariot often excelled more at stealth than brawn, even if she didn't find the stranger particularly daunting, she didn't believe in underestimating anyone.

He moves quicker than she thought, there's not enough time to pull back unscathed - so she braces. Her hind legs pushing back firmly against the ground, dropping her rear end a measure just when his shoulder connects against her chest - the pain blooms like wildfire; and Reverie knows very well she will feel it long after this spar alone. (Blunt little bastard huh?) It's a heavy and dull ache that spreads, the impact causing her to skid back a few inches, a wild hiss spilling from her lungs while simultaneously her parted jaws turn and bite.

It is instinctual; though lacking full force - so far - but one does not learn from gentleness in a fight. No, she needs to give him reason to pull back and so aims her teeth for the side of his skull and ear. Her right paw swinging out to try and connect with his side and push. Her claws however, unsheathe a fraction. Not enough to gouge - but where was the harm in making things... uncomfortable?

he's sprinting along the blood-splattered corridors - jogging in a strenuous exercise to hone his muscles - when a call to violence implores the ivory wraith. a singular ear flicks forward, relishing the rising notes of blood-letting resonate like a siren's call against the air. arawn moves swiftly, heeding the call, to be a spectator amongst their midst; muscled flesh surging forth as long, gangly limbs unfurl against the thickness of his chimerian, winter furs.

along the way, he allows his talons to scrape against the boulder, as he sharpens his weapons with killing intemt. queitly, he takes a seat from the sidelines, eager see how this fight will end, placing his bet on the leaner woman.
