He had followed her here.

As their family dissolved, cast out across the battle-scarred lands of amaryllis, he desperately sought out his siblings. Losing the scent of Melusina and unable to track down Arion -- where the hell were you, little brother? -- he feared the worst, berating himself for having failed them so completely.

@Magdalena's scent was his saving grace. Rohan grasped at it like a lifeline, a desperate beast needing direction and purpose and value. What was he if he could not be their protector? Certainly she needed it less than the rest -- or so she was so hell bent on proving -- but he did not particularly care what she thought. Rohan would follow her, here, and pick up his role as her dutiful shadow, her unwavering shield.

Pausing at the borders he begins to pace, impatient, loosing a call for the leadership to grant him access.

She wasn't surprised when a call rang out that requested her presence at her borders. Isla was beginning to get used to the fact that many seemed to want to join Scilla, be it for one reason or another. Although she wasn't used to it as much in the Summit, it was something the woman would not complain about - gaining more members to grow her pride was vital.

She crosses the beach and heads toward the entryway, keeping herself alert and on guard as she usually did. The Scillan Queen never knew if a call could be a setup for an ambush, and with the still pile of enemies her family had Isla knew she still needed to be on the defense. Soon her eyes land upon a masculine figure, a young lion waiting seemingly impatiently at her borders. "Hallo," the Greyflood calls out once close enough, casual gait coming to a halt just before him on her side of the border. "Isla Greyflood, Queen. How may I help you?" As she awaits a response her eyes look him over, noting some similarities to another that had joined not too long ago and wondering if the two were related in some way.

The woman that came was... big. Bigger than him, even. Rohan paused, did a quick double take, and then continued to pace. Until he realized that it made him look half-mad, at which point he stopped in front of her, the tip of his tail twitching behind him. "My sister is here," he says with a flare of his nostrils, "I'd like to stay with her."

Greyflood, she says, and he knows the name. Knows it well enough to understand there may be some politics at play, here, but also that none of it matters right now. All that mattered is that he was here with his family, the only piece of it that he could find. "Rohan Starke," he continues, looking past her at the kingdom he had been born in to. Strange that he was back, now, after so long. Was that why Mags had come here?

Isla says nothing as the yearling continues to pace back and forth a few more times before finally stopping before her. Something was obviously eating at him, causing for his restlessness, and when he begins to speak the Queen could see why. 'My sister is here.' A brow rises as he explains this, her mind going back to the recent lions she had accepted into the Lagoon. "Magdalena, I presume?" Some of their similarities stuck out to Isla, and as he continued to introduce himself she could only further confirm her assumption about their relations.

Another Stärke. She shakes off tense muscles and fully focuses her attention back upon the yearling. It was funny how the ones that used to be your enemy were now becoming something much more than that, something with purpose. "Well, @Rohan," the Scillan Queen begins, her tail sweeping behind her, "I will not deny a brother to reunite with their siblings. The Lagoon is your home as much as it is hers." Another body to add to the growing number in her pride, something she was fortunate to have happen.

"Scilla is a pretty easy pride to live in. Just don't start anything you can't finish, do not bring trouble to our doorstep and pull your weight around. In return, you gain my protection." Her focus is leveled as she speaks, eyes never pulling away from Rohan's face. "Sound good?"

He nodded, quick, eager to be done with the small talk. He wondered if she knew that they had been born here, wondered if his sister had revealed their heritage, and then decided that it did not matter. Did or didn't, it held no bearing on his future. All that mattered was that he stayed close to his family, protected the ones that needed him most (whether they'd admit it or not), and did proud the name he had been born under.

When she mentions her protection he grits his teeth, biting back the comments he wanted to make. Rohan damn well didn't feel like he needed her protection, after all. He was the protector, after all.

"Deal," he says, instead, and forces his expression in to something more complacent. He was not as skilled as his father at masking his emotions; that was something that would come in time. He knew well enough to wait, though, for her final word before he would slip away in to the lagoon, following strangely familiar trails to find his sister.

His emotions are noticed but Isla does not dwell on them. She knew that men, even as young as this one here, had fragile egos that they needed to protect at all costs. If her asking if he were alright would have done any good perhaps she would have asked him. But the yearling was too anxious to be welcomed into the Lagoon, to find his sister, so whenever he took off after the Queen invited him in Isla would push back the fact she hadn't even gotten his name. He was a Stärke, that much she knew, and she supposed she would have to find him later or even Magdalena to get her brother's name. Dual colored eyes watch as he disappears into the thicket, and after a few moments on her own would Isla decide to head back to her own den for the time being.
