She had enjoyed this quiet peaceful garden during her day ventures, so Rhea decided she visited at night under the soft glow of the moonlight. There was less activity as some of the creatures she had seen before (bees, birds, etc) must of gone home to their nests to sleep. So, with this she would stride more carefully through the garden to observe all the different flowers while still taking careful care not to crush anything. When she finds the most vacant spot possible, she sits down and takes her attention to the clear sky above her fawning over the sparkly stars and just in awe over the amount of them clustered above her.

Truthfully he had been doing a hell of a lot of nothing aside from sticking close to his mother and siblings. There were a few moments where he felt unbelievably frustrated by the stagnation. Guelle just wanted to keep doing and apparently there was a lot as a rogue that you couldn't do. Hobbies that he couldn't keep up — like patrolling borders and recruiting at the passage — and thus making him feel frustrated. Whenever he was in the presence of his family he always had to shut himself up and walk away, not wishing for them to be on the receiving end of his frustrations.

Today, unfortunately, was one such day where he was feeling relatively irritated by the situation. Desperate to do something but also terrified to be anywhere that his family wasn't. Joining a pride was a big commitment and if his family ended up going somewhere else, he would have to bail on the pride he did join... and that wasn't his style. So imagine his slight surprise when he spotted the familiar @Rhea not too far away within these same gardens.

Guelle's first instinct was to run to her and then that changed to wanting to turn and go back the way he came but... he wanted to know if she was alright in the Lagoon. So, he chose to be mature and brave. Hey! he shouted, swallowing his anxiety and making a quick jovial jaunt towards the lioness that he had briefly met at the Passage. Ya ain't seen no big bad flea bags around anymore, have ya? Surely not, but at the very least he already felt like he was easing out of his frustrations now that he could focus on something other than his monotonous routines.

She had been silently naming some of the specks in the sky, drawing invisible lines between them and forming constellations hoping that she would see them again the next night. A sight to embed into her heart and memory. A voice cries out in the silence, Rhea pulled from her star naming to see the familiar stature of @Güelle headed towards her. She smiles warmly, rising to her paws to greet him. She giggles in response, the melody high pitched and soft as amusement twinkles in her blue depths. "Nice to see you. Thankfully, the Lagoon has been flea bag free.” Of course, being the considerate woman she is and unaware that the topic will be a sore point for the young male the words fall out of her mouth almost immediately. "How is the Oasis? Maybe I can stop by one of these days.

Always a pleasure to know that someone had chosen a place that was free of flea bags. No one liked to be swallowed up by those massive ego inflaters. @Rhea was likely a shining star amongst the Lagoon and he would have expected no different for Isla had always been a very big personality for the Summit. That's good to hear! He verbally reiterated this time, showing that he was truly glad that she had found a place that was not anywhere near that treacherous male that had thought he had some moronic claim upon her.

As for the Oasis, Guelle did feel a little deflated at the question but it was something his mind was quick to throw away. Optimistic as he was and ever the boy to push forward instead of linger backwards, he shook his head. That's a no-can-do, starlight. The boy shrugs and sighs dramatically, the Oasis is no longer my home. I'm a rogue, actually. Until my fam finally decides where to go. Was being a Rogue considered awesome? Enlightening? Did it make him sound mysterious and suave? When he had lived in the Oasis and the Summit he had always thought that being a Rogue sounded so... brave and strong. Yet, he was discovering for himself that it was quite lonely. No one had ever told him that bit before.

Curiosity plagues her at the rejection of her proposal. A slight head tilt when he sighs dramatically and explains that the oasis is no longer his playground. ”What happened?” She inquires, surprised about this turnaround considering how different things had been only a few weeks before. Had someone taken their home or had it been a family decision to vacant the sandy dunes? A thought to her head comes as she mulls it over. ”What if you join me in the Lagoon? You liked Isla right?” Perhaps it was a bit crazy, surely they would of came already if that thought had crossed their minds, but despite Rhea's friendly demeanor she had yet to really make a lasting impression on her pride mates. It was something she needed to work on and so far her and @Güelle had clicked well. It was nice to think of having a sort of 'friend' there that she could see daily. ”But being a rogue isn't too bad. I did it for two years,” she smiled trying to lift his spirits up even if momentarily. The reality was she chose not to disclose the nightmares that had plagued her causing her to wake up in a frantic sweat and the constant paranoid of looking over her shoulder for danger.

Oh, he answered as though he had not expected for @Rhea to ask him what had happened to make Andal not his home anymore. As though they weren't that good of friends and that he was just a nobody worthy of actually concerning themselves over. It was... a lot nicer of a feeling than he had anticipated and it made him feel a little less hopeless about the situation. A, uh .. he looked down at his feet for a second and swiped one paw in front of himself absently, big, brawny dude challenged my mum for the throne. And obviously lost. But he couldn't say that and especially not out loud even if it was implied that she had. To Guelle, his mum was invincible even if it had broken her spirit a little.

Guelle only wished his father had been here to help her. Maybe then they would have a chance to get it back. Throughout his year and half of life he had never been anywhere expect alongside his family and yet, leaving her offer of the Lagoon to make him feel conflicted. Guelle didn't much like not having a home and just being a rogue... even if she said it wasn't too bad. He hadn't been one for long and it just was not his style and he would happily plead the truth on that one. Yeah, I do. In regards to liking Isla, that is.

Isla was a great warrior and a strong lion, but being away from his family would be a lot... but it wasn't like they were going anywhere. And surely Isla would — oh wait, he was a lion big boy now and not a kid so he didn't have to stay if he didn't want to. Do ... do you have the means to invite me or can you lead me to the Lagoon? Guelle had never been to this Lagoon and knew nothing about it other than what Isla had said at the passage and what he knew about the High Sovereign. But if it had her and Rhea, surely it would be a good place to hang out for a while, right?

He glances down as if trying to find the words to explain to her what has happened. Rhea is quiet, listening attentively as her ears flick forward to ensure that she hears everything. She gives him a soft sigh, lifting a paw in an attempt to place one of hers over his. "I'm sorry," she tells him, her skull dipping slightly as she attempts to hold his gaze. "I'm sure your mom will take your home back one day...or maybe soon you could try and get it back for your family?" A thought considering that soon he would be two years old and allowed in Amaryllis's customs to be a king. "Try to remember that life is full of unexpected changes, but we sometimes have the power to make those changes ourselves." It was the way of life. Whoever took the Oasis would eventually have a bad day and likely be overthrown at some point. Whether it was @Güelle's family or someone else. The lack of stability in her childhood had allowed Rhea to accept such things and learn not to get too attached to one person or place.

He agrees that he has positive thoughts towards Isla and when he asks her if she has the power to grant him inside, her features brighten a bit. "No, but I can take you there and speak for you. It can be a temporary thing or maybe you'll grow to like it. In these lands, as a male you don't have to be anywhere you don't want to be." A shrug accompanied with another soft smile. She stands and faces the direction of the Lagoon, taking a quick peek at him. "So, off we go?" She couldn't wait to show him around and maybe once he got older and things changed, he could do the same for her one day.

Guelle was, as any young boy would be, very anxious. A certain kind of nervousness that resorted to poor energy and a lackluster feel that was like goosebumps on his skin. Every word that @Rhea gives him makes him feel a small percentage better; a welcoming ideal that he tries to see but for now his anxiety drives his thoughts like a deer into headlights. He wanted nothing more than for his mother to retake the Oasis but there was a very clever and insightful boy within him that told him that that would not happen. His mother was a powerhouse but not in a leader kind-of-way and that was fine because she did not need to be.

With a nod, having heard only snippets of what she had said because of how into his "feelings" he was, he accepts the bid to go to the Lagoon and see if there was a place for him. Even though he knew Isla and vouched for her at the Passage to Rhea, he could not help but wonder if Isla would say the same to him. It was not as though he had ever participated in any fight that mattered nor had ever shown Isla that he was anything other than a young, inexperienced boy (and he truly was). So he was led to believe that he could very well be denied but on this day, he had nothing left to lose. exit guelle to sl
