Having been to this land once before the beast had returned after several months of traveling outside its borders. The outside world had been invaded by him, but he hadn’t found what he had been searching for. The chaos he craved, the fun, the woman he could take wasn’t there. There had been freedom to roam and fun to be had but the bandit hadn’t been keen enough to keep exploring. Instead he had returned to Amaryllis and hopped he would find something else to entertain him. Perhaps he would find himself a pride to join under the Lawman persona and steal away hearts to join him in ditching the collared life of a pride. Or hell maybe he'll just take a fancy to a prideland and take it over himself for his own greedy desires.

At the moment though he found himself wandering around during a rain storm. His mane getting soaked as he stalked the edge of a mountain. Finally after a while he found an opportunity to enter the mountain in the form of a cave entrance. Sneaking his way in he gave himself a good shake to relieve himself of some of that heavy weight that had soaked into his manly hair.

He admittedly spent most of his time within the Grotto, or else in that other space where the dead lingered and time seemed to pass differently. He could roam the labyrinth as he pleased, though, and on occasion he found himself bored enough to do so. Who would have thought the afterlife could be boring? Who would have thought there was an afterlife at all?

A pity his wife and child were not there as well.

It was raining outside, he noted, which was interesting to him only because he could no longer experience it. Judging by how the man he had come across was shaking himself off, sending water in all directions, perhaps that was fortunate.

He did realize that he could have opted to remain hidden, and the other would never have known he was in the presence of the dead, but Tobin was bored that day and after many months of no conversation he thought he ought to see if the living had anything useful to say.

I take it the weather outside is less than ideal, he commented, his voice preceding his appearance in the tunnel ahead of the man. He glowed faintly, illuminating the rock around him. He would have thought that death would have healed his body, but as it was he still had to turn his head slightly to the left to fix the stranger in his good eye. In all honesty, even if it had repaired his vision, he probably would have adopted the same stance regardless. It was simply habit now.

Redding his coat of water the outlaw hadn’t been expecting to hear a voice coming from farther into the tunnel. Pausing he took a deep breath, twitching his nose as he sniffed. The scents that surrounded him he didn’t know. Mud and rain were the only things he could pick up for sure. The owner of the voice was hiding their scent rather well it seemed. That was until he got closer and could tell there was something wrong. Something different about @Tobin. Ears slowly slicked back as he came to a stop.

"Ya could say that again. Rain comin' down like a waterfall ." He admitted not bothering to lie about it. The weather wasn’t something that was worse making up stories about. "Ya have claim to these here parts?" He asked but it wasn’t like he really cared or anything. Just wanted to know if he stuck around if he was going to piss off some dead guy and get his ass cursed to be haunted or something. Not that he believes in that stuff of course, but just what he was looking at with the man before him? Well he didn’t really have an answer for that.

The man's accent was intriguing, but Tobin didn't question it just yet. It didn't really matter to him. Truthfully, very little in the land of the living mattered to him these days, but perhaps he could get some information about those he did care about, who were presumably still alive because he'd never seen them at the Grotto.

One could say that, I suppose, he said of the man's question. He did lay claim to these parts as one he watched over and could seemingly manifest within without trouble. He couldn't do so anywhere else though. But I'm not opposed to visitors. There was nothing he could do about them even if he was, considering he couldn't affect the living world.

Tobin Kramer. And yourself? It was always polite to introduce oneself.

Focusing upon the lion who he was speaking with the bandit took notice of just how something didn’t look right. @Tobin was strange and the masked man hadn’t put the pieces together just yet. Scanning the area he stepped closer eyeing the man with suspicion before he turned his gaze to the area around them. "Well Tobin that be mighty swell of you to allow visitors in ye home." He commented before he looked back at him. "Names Lawman." His voice slipped smoothly from his lips as he spoke the alias. It was a lie, but at the same time it wasn't. It was an identity he was crafting for himself in this new land.

Tobin nodded slightly in acknowledgement of the other's comment. He supposed it was quite benevolent of him. Still... True, though there's little I could do to get rid of someone I didn't want around, he commented. He'd leave it up to the man's imagination as to the reason, because there were a few even if one didn't realize he was a spirit. He did still appear old and half blind after all. Though, there is a pride not terribly far from here that would likely have something to say about someone wandering on their land. He didn't know who ruled the Hollow these days, just that he had spent quite a bit of time there when he was alive, which had probably drawn him back to this place in his death.

An interesting name. Do you dispense the law then? Tobin asked, curious. Perhaps this were a sort of kindred spirit. ... No pun or joke intended.

Taking a really good look at @Tobin he could see a glow around him but other than that he looked normal. Pretty beat up and honestly Abel was sure he could take him. So he relaxed, yet didn’t drop his guard as one never knows who is lurking about. Being told about a pride nearby didn’t make him feel at easy either. "Pride huh? What can you tell me about 'em?” He questioned with curiosity. If this here old timer could provide him some insight that would be great. If not he would have to go poking his nose around their borders and find out himself.

At the question about the law he let a toothy grin cross his face. "Sometimes." He dispenses.the law when it suits him and of course it is his type of law, but the weird stranger didn’t need to know that.

Well, I'm not certain who rules there now, but it used to be ruled by a man named Alexander Savante. It was quite a large pride, one filled by his family for the most part, he replied. It may still be, to be honest. I haven't been there in some time. They were a peaceful enough pride, once the Bluffs were convinced to leave them alone. He wasn't sure how that had been worked out, but he'd eventually quit hearing mutterings of contention between the two prides.

The man's grin caused a slight smile to settle on Tobin's features. I see. I used to dispense... well not the law but judgement. It's a younger man's game, though, he replied. As for now, well his ability to interact with the living world was severely limited at this point. Perhaps this was the extent of what he could do, these occasional conversations.
