August Y12
Summer
The summer season has finally reached its peak. The sunshine is plentiful, the days are long and the air is hot and humid - but the evenings do not seem to provide the same relief that they once had, and remain somewhat stuffy. Thunderstorms have also began appearing more frequently, particularly in the rainforest and eastern region, though the rain is welcomed after a relatively dry season thus far.

Her spa hadn't come without damages. Her ankle had been torn, and even though she had put some poultice on it, the injury still hurt and she found herself limping at times which only caused her to hate it even more. A growl formed on her features as Heisa limped her way up the territories, she had heard about the hot springs and wondered if it would help out with her pain. So when she found herself at the hot springs in the middle of a winter summer, Heisa dipped into it with a giant sigh of relief. A hiss formed as her ankle sank into the hot water and she found herself groaning in pain just for the fact that it felt good and hurt.

The pines, they often whisper
They whisper what no tongue can tell
There was something about the springs that drew her in. Her mind had been occupied with the recent events, new encounters and bonds and so much more. So perhaps finding some warmth in those suddenly cold days would do her some good and clear her mind.
Her herb satchel was clutches tightly in her fangs, dual toned gaze surveying the area as she wandered, searching for any plants that hadn't been ruined by the snow. Floppy ears preened forward with interest when a scent reached her. Familiar, yet not familiar. With surprising grace for her near colossal size, the young woman leapt over and against rocks and whatever else may have been in her path. A graceful show of parkour, causing her to leap out of the steamy air like a phantom, landing near the pool the girl had chosen. Setting down the satchel, she placed it between her paws before looking at @Heisa. "You smell...familiar."

Lounging in the water on one of the slopes that resided within the hot spring itself. Her foot just floated in the water as she lay there relaxed, her eyes half closed but her ears continuously flickered on top of her head to the surrounding noises. The sting had began to slowly go away but it was there and every time she moved it came back in full force. It was bullshit but it had been training for her whether it was training for the other or not, it was a lesson for her.
However, her thoughts were disturbed by another and the Bluff's scent hit her nose like a gigantic tidal wave. Her lavender jewels went towards the other lioness who was twice her size if not bigger but Heisa didn't show any signs of fear rather she was just neutral. Her features, body language, all of it was neutral as she watched @Etain. Not entirely surprised but that statement. Surely anyone would know who she was, not only by the scent (the Oasis still on her pelt even as she was trying to join the Bluff's) but by her very appearance. Heisa looked nearly identical to her father.

The similarity to a male now quite familiar to her, it didn't escape the older lioness and neither did the still present scent of the Oasis. But surprisingly, given her prior reaction his children and himself, she showed no aggression. Her tail lashed behind her, but her expression remained neutral as she settled onto her haunches where she stood. "True." Sure, she could have mentioned the girl's father, but something had pushed her not to.
Dual toned gaze wandered over the younger girl, floppy ears twitching ever so slightly as she took her in. "You're hurt." A factual statement, but she wasn't quite sure how to approach this. She did feel a drive to care for the girl, to make sure she'd be okay. But at the same time she wasn't sure if she'd even accept the help. "I could...help?" Though she was hesitantly offering, it would be up to @Heisa to accept or decline the help.

@Etain knew who she was. But deep down, Heisa was grateful that she didn't mention her father. That the woman before her didn't throw it in her face that she was - in fact - a Saxe and that all of her father's decisions and enemies now lay on her shoulders. On all of their shoulders. She knew that she had a huge target on her back but Heisa wasn't the type to back down and therefore, every enemy that she came across was Heisa ready to stand her ground, even if she was hurt.
And just like that her injury was brought to the surface and Heisa glanced towards the floating paw in the water. Ears twisting on top of her head, How do I know you won't make it worse.. It was a serious question, one that Heisa wanted to know the truth on. Granted, she still got out of the water and hissed as she did but she stood there like a champ and looked at Etain with fierce bravery.

Admittedly, she wouldn't have expected anything less. For all the horrible things her father had done, the ferocity and bravery of his children despite everything was something she admired. Perseverance in even the darkest times. And they weren't too different in that aspect. Her father too had been a cruel man. The only difference was that he had played the good and loving man to the outside world but had shown his own daughter nothing but violence and cruelty in the short time she'd been in his life.
At the question she couldn't help but smile a little, gesturing to the satchel at her paws. "I'm a medic," she answered, though it wasn't much of an explanation why @Heisa should trust her to do this right. And she did deserve the truth. "My mother was teaching me. So I'm not perfect or anything...and I don't like making promises when it comes to this kind of stuff. But I can have a look, do my best to help." Still smiling a little she looked from the girl's paw to her satchel. "I wouldn't just randomly try something. I'd have a look, see what we're dealing with and then we can go from there?"

If Heisa had known that they were perhaps similar, Heisa might have been more likely to trust @Etain but that wasn't going to happen currently. Not right now and probably not for a long time. Her ears twisted and turned on top of her head as she would listen to Etain begin to explain how she was a medic. How her mother had been teaching her and she wasn't that great at it right now but she could at least try to look and keep it from getting infected. The very thought of a mother teaching their daughter something whereas Heisa's own mother had disappeared was marked dead by their own father. Heisa hadn't been able to learn anything from her mother and that hit a nerve.
Not letting that feeling cross her features, she kept her features neutral as she had before. But she still offered to help Heisa and the Saxe child would nod her head, sitting down and putting her ankle out to be seen. It was clear that she had tried to do something but since dipping into the water it had washed away and the teeth like marks were clear and evident as they wrapped around her ankle. A hiss escaped her jaws as she felt the coolness of the ground against the hot of her ankle.
