Despite having a lot of the Oasis to explore and no doubt itching to get to it, Guelle felt like there was still so much left behind in the Summit. Things that hadn't crossed his mind until he was already on the long road to his new home. All too wrapped up in the excitement that it hadn't occurred to him that there were things he was going to miss. Lions he was going to miss and certain sights that he would no longer get to see but really, it was the former that grappled his heart.

Wrinkling his nose and shaking his slow-growing mane around, he puffed his chest and called for @Alette. She was the only one outside of his family, save for Morrigan herself, that he had ever interacted with and thus really the only lion that he was missing already. They'd only met briefly but that had left an impression of him and he hoped that shy-appearing girl would come to greet him. So that she could belay the news and (he cockily presumed) comfort her if she was upset or sad.

Spring was finally here and although the Summit was still seeing snow, some bits of color was beginning to pop through the blank sheet laid over the territory. The ice is also mostly gone, making her foot falls much quieter. She had to admit though, she did prefer that satisfying crunch winter provided.

Alette pauses midstep as her name floats over the mountain. For a moment she wondered if it was one of her brothers yet that didn't seem right. It wasn't often that she was called for in such a way. Curiously she lopes through the receding drifts, bouncing her way right over. Her speed picks up as she recognizes her caller as @Güelle.

The girl skids to a stop and walks the rest of the way to him. Hola. She whispers sheepishly, both proud and somewhat embarrassed to demonstrate that she had remembered.

While he had been exuberantly excited and buzzing with undispersed energy prior to @Alette's arrival, it was even more active as soon as her dark-figure emerged from within the Summit. Guelle felt his face both harden and soften, wanting to smother her as he would his siblings but also recognizing that she might be fragile. Or, more likely, she might not want him to smother her — both were likely and he was doing his very best to remain likeable and not at all forceful or demanding. He wanted her to like him but he also found it to be an acceptable challenge to try and be her friend.

Hallo! he said somewhat loudly, excited that she had said hola but also a young boy who didn't know how to be more quiet usually. Hey, uh — I wanted to come by and, like, tell you that I live in the Oasis now. Andal. Oasis. With my fam. My Uncle took it. He paused, attempting to gather the breath he seemed to be missing out on. Apparently it's, like, really important to my family. Not that he ever felt like a place was owed to anyone specifically but he knew that he held great importance to the Miroslav's.

Sorry I couldn't tell ya sooner. And he was, as the excitement upon leaving and the rush to get to the Oasis had overpowered the fact that he was somewhat permanently leaving behind a place as well as it's inhabitants. Specifically Alette.

He greets her back with a Hallo and Alette 's cheek would burn red but luckily her fur was far too dark to expose her secret. He starts in and for a moment she wonders if he was going to ask her for lessons in German. Ears that were held forward now slowly slide down as his words come to completion. You.. You don't live here anymore? Though she could respect that a home was important to someone as Illyria was important to her, Alette had always been a rather overly sensitive child. Her eyes felt wet at the thought of not having a friend so close anymore. Even worse that it should be over as soon as it were to begin.
Sorry I couldn't tell ya sooner.
That's okay. She sniffs, quickly wiping at her face and trying to pretend as if the cold weather was making her nose a little runny. It's good to have important things. Alette had many important things and lions in her life. They were what made living more fun. Maybe.. Maybe I can visit? The dark little princess had never been outside of the Summit before. So the thought was utterly terrifying but if @Güelle was there then surely it was a safe place.

I don't... no, his head falls slightly in guilt that he couldn't tell her otherwise. In the madness of his family informing them that they had retaken the Oasis he hadn't even though to see if he could stay in the Summit. He was built for it, he knew it because of his fur, but his family was in the sands now and he couldn't not be with them. That was where his father and grandfather was and it was through them that he was meant to be training. As though he could just sense the excess wet within her eyes he took a step forward and pouted, it's okay. I'll come visit lots. Because he would without a second thought. @Alette was also important to him, after all.

As for the Oasis and family being important, he nodded vigorously. As though expressing it tenfold that he did have a lot of important things in his life and that was certainly one of them. But he was even more excited that she had the thought to visit him. I'd really like that, actually! It's, uh... a bit warmer there though. We'll have to ask your Moms if that's alright. Though, his eyes lit up like he'd just had the biggest bigbrain idea ever, maybe they'd even let you spend the night! That sounded like fun, didn't it?

It was upsetting to know that he would no longer be apart of the mountain. Still unable to keep her emotions secret, it lay plastered across her young face. Although their first interaction had been a bit awkward, Alette could already tell that he was a boy she'd really grow to like. She felt as though they had life long friend potential. And he must have felt the same. Why else would he go out of his way to tell her his family had left?

He startles her a bit with his excitement. His smile all too infectious and instantly she is smiling too. Warmer? Head tilting as she ponders what his new home looked like. The princess had only ever known the snow and the cold, with brief periods of warmth. Is the snow just as pretty there? How much warmer was it? Did they have the same kind of snow? Less?
She nods along in agreement of asking permission first. That would be a very good idea considering the excitement had the thought of just going with him at the forefront of her mind. And even spending the night? A whole day to play and explore? What more could a kid ask for?!

The boy wished he could take his friends pain away and make it not so hurtful. That he could lie to her and make things better again but lying solved nothing, only placated things for a small while. These were teachings he had garnered from his father in the knowledge that lying got you no where and if he lied, things would only get worse. Though when sweet @Alette reiterates the fact that he had described the Oasis as warmer, his lips upturned little by little as he felt that her asking questions meant that she was at least growing more interested by the second. That the hurt was growing smaller and smaller in her mind.

Much! he exclaimed, knowing that the Summit was essentially the complete opposite of the place he was to call home now. Though, he didn't realize that she wasn't aware of what warmer meant for the snow that mingled on the mountain. Guelle swallows, his teeth giving a stupid grin as he realizes he might give her information that would make her not ever want to visit the Oasis.

There's, uh, actually no snow... at all. It's just sand. Though, when he thought about it... they weren't different entirely but the temperature made it so. Sand is like snow, but it is warm to the touch and not cold. Nor is it white, it's more, well — it's more the color of me! That made sense! He was a sandy color as was a lot of his paternal family actually and the connection made him a little more excited. As though maybe his family was originally meant for sand but the long fur built into him had changed that.

His facial expressions shifted around before he slowly began to grin. There was a way his eyebrows jumped when moving between those expressions that she couldn't quite put into words. But she did find it quite endearing.

The oasis had no snow and this caused her head to tilt again. No snow? What was life like in a place where there was no snow? It was instead sand. Like snow, to this she nodded. But not snow. And there he lost her again. It wasn't white but colored as he was colored. She wanted to understand but sadly she would not. Not until she experienced it for herself. So the clouds are your color too? She inquired, eyes going skyward. When the sand falls from the sky? The clouds were always white or grey with the snow fell here. She had always chalked it up to snow being tiny bits of clouds falling down all around them. Covering the ground with cloud. It made sense to her. Clouds and snow were both white and fluffy. She imagined that if she could fly, then sweeping through a cloud would feel the same as jumping through a drift of snow. All this she relays to @Güelle. Adding out loud if he thought that perhaps other areas of the word had different colored snow too. And if they called it something else like he was calling it sand.

Oh, uh... no. The clouds are still white? He answered, not exactly sure how @Alette had gotten the idea that the clouds would be tan in color, too. Guelle was certain that he had not said anything that might have alluded to that... unless, well, unless she assumed which was the only appropriate assumption. As she said more, he clicked in that she just wasn't familiar with it. That made sense, given the fact that she had lived in the Summit as long as he had known her. Sand just... is. It doesn't fall from the sky. It's just there on the ground. Sometimes the wind blows it so you have to protect your eyes but it's just there. Truthfully, he didn't know how else to describe it and knew that he was likely failing miserably on being knowledge for the sake of this friend of his and her curiosity towards where he now called home.
