October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

medic competition

Rumors had begun to circulate throughout Amaryllis, whispering promises of a grand competition that would soon be gracing the lands. It was a break from their often calamity and chaos – and though it would still spark the competitive nature that many of the peninsula’s inhabitants already possessed, this would be more-so the healthy kind. At least they hoped.

A trio had found their way here, unannounced and slipping, at first, within the comfort of the shadows. They were cross-country scouts, some would say, with a pulse for adrenaline and a wanton desire to find the most skilled and formidable trade masters among them. They had traversed many territories, seen many lands – and now, their next stop had brought them to Amaryllis, curious to see who would rise to the top. Not to mention that the winning team - the one who would prove themselves to have a strong and diverse arsenal of members to partake in these competitions - would get some of the best bragging rights of all time.

Let the games begin.

It seemed common sense to hold this competition in the thralls of the forest, where plant-life was abundant – albeit more difficult to find, now that the land had been overtaken with a fresh blanket of snow, which covered both vegetation, scents, and trails alike. Though the woman figured that it should not matter that much, considering that a master in the medic trade would need to be able to work under tough conditions – or, even more-so, any conditions. If they wanted to be a good and efficient healer, they would need to learn how to adapt to the changing climate, and hone in on their senses even more than they already did in order to provide the best (and quickest) care that they could.

Today, a stranger stood with her – not the red-coated barbarian that had taken the liberty of hosting the other events, nor the star-speckled child that had organized the children of Amaryllis into their own sports, but a small, gray-pelted man with a stern complexion and deep set eyes. He said nothing, clearly allowing the woman to take the lead in her own show, and instead would serve as but an observer, hovering diligently at her side as though awaiting further instructions. This competition was quite serious, after all, and they all had their own jobs to do “Medics, gather your supplies!” Her voice rang out clearly against the early afternoon air, vibrating across the gardens to meet the tree-line, before she opted to take a seat alongside her accomplice, lips perched into the faintest of smiles all-the-while.

rules & instructions

This is the thread for the medic trade competition. Your character must have this as their master or sub-master trade, and their team is based on their usergroup (pride, band, rogue). The goal is for your team to amass the most amount of points and win the competition. Read all of the information here.

Sign-ups for this competition are open until December 12; you must post here before then to participate. On December 13, the competition will start and the first round of match-ups will be posted.

  • Your character must be at least 1 year old. There are separate events for cubs.
  • You can post 1 character PER team to participate.
    • If you have 2 lions in Caladan Cove that want to participate in the Ranger Competition, you can only post 1. If you have 1 lion in Caladan Cove and 1 lion in Firnen Rainforest that want to participate, you can post them both.
  • Every round will feature and play off of a different, associated trade task.

  • Round 1 Match-Up: On December 13, every participant will be randomly matched with someone else and the NPC will explain the first task. An NPC will be used if there are uneven participant numbers.

    The snow falls soft
drawing the world down to a whitened hush, forcing us to pause long enough to take stock of everything that we miss in our crazed pursuit to gain everything that we can. One would say she is a woman who wears a gown of winter frost that blinds the eyes.
She was, in fact, a medic, something she'd had cause to use for her own family more often than she would have liked. At least they allowed her to keep her skills sharp, but still...

At any rate, this wasn't the time to be worried about such things, and so she set them aside in favor of keeping her mind focused on the upcoming competition. She had gathered a bundle of herbs that she thought would be useful for the widest range of situations that might be thrown at her, and she brought it with her to the glade. She was the first to arrive, but she doubted she would be alone for long. There were many who practiced medicine in these lands.

Medicine wasn't her main skill, but she knew enough that she had no issue with answering the call for them. She was, admittedly, a little bit rusty, but that wasn't going to stop her.

She was surprised there was only one other present as she arrived, but she chalked it up to her being fast. There were plenty of medics within the lands, obviously, many of them within the Brook ( or at least they had been ). So they would be along, and hopefully sooner rather than later. She was eager to see who would be competing against her in this.

Medicine was something she had some knowledge of, but most of it had been back in her homeland. Here, things were slightly different, so she wasn't sure how much of it would transfer. Different plants were a problem, and she'd only had so much time to study them before this was called. She would still attend, though, because she thought it wise to seek more information from knowledgeable medics of the land. Besides, she could discuss theory all day long, and perhaps that would be enough to get her through for a while.

There was a pair of women already there, utterly opposites in size and coloring. It intrigued Jun, and she nodded politely to them both as she took a seat.

All of her sleepless nights and early dawn wanderings had led to this moment. Her dedication to honing her craft and fine tuning her skills had resulted in her finding what she felt was her purpose. The way that she could bring something to offer to the world beyond a pretty face. She had a talent, she had a skillset. Lune felt the weight of the call deep within her bones. It rattled the very fiber of her being, shaking off cobwebs from the quiet parts of her heart that she had sometimes forgotten how to hear.

Upon approaching the familiar visage of the glade, Lune noted a couple of other unfamiliar individuals gathered. She gave them a cordial dip of her head in greeting, refusing to let her focus be shaken. The need to prove herself worthy had been the singular drum beat down her war path. She would not be thrown off course now. What better chance to show her skill than a challenge such as this.

The young medic was more than ready to take part in this event made for them for the medics of Amaryllis, lions who healed others. She found joy in mending, and even though it wasnt such a fancy trade like that of warrriors or hunters, she felt like it had its own importance. What was a warrior without the health to fight? Many would die if it wasnt for healers. She arrived with her pouch with herbs and other items for her to use in this event. She looked at the others curiously, wondering how experienced they could be. Older always ment wiser and better in Ciara's point of view.

It was the call that roused the red giant from where she had been laying outside the den, making sure that the cubs were well and truly asleep. The giantess made her way towards gathering, her gaze landing on those in attendance and then turning her attention towards the feline that had called them forth.

The Firnen medic settled to her haunches, both curious and interested in what it was that they were to be doing. She let her bi-colored gaze cross those in attendance, searching for familiar faces amongst the group. There were some she recognized, mostly in passing, however.

The pale medic had been out and searching for plants to resupply what store he had left back in the desert. What he hadn't expected was to once again compete with the snow when the world should have been awash in fragrant blossoms. He could only hope that this premature frost hadn't killed off anything that had just been starting out on their path in life.

While he was out scavenging there came a call for medics. Of course the healer would never be able to ignore this. But rather than the expectation of competition he simply assumed that someone was injured and in need of assistance.

He had been called on often, as of late, for his skills and so he figured this was another such cause. Others had already gathered there before him and he could only assume that they had some training in healing as well.

Iofiel typically wears a neutral expression and rarely shows emotion. He is soft spoken but has a deep voice when he speaks. He is especially shy and quiet around those he finds attractive.

Once again she is alerted to the drawing of her skills and still, she chooses to linger on the outskirts. That same lion that had called them was beckoning the healers forward and while she had a few herbs at her hands to spare, she hadn't a clue what to expect. Each of the lions here likely had varying level of skill to the trade and it was hard to begin to place who was more trained and who was lesser. All of them could very well be masters of the art and yet it was she who felt at the bottom rung.

A call for medics rose up over the lands and Elaine paused. She had always wanted to be a medic for the family, a trusted healer that wouldn't leave them but fighting always seemed to get in the way and was really what she was better at. She knew that she was better at it because she had been raised in it and practiced it a lot more than healing. With a small sigh she headed toward where she heard the call come from. She came with nothing, having nothing stored up and a very limited knowledge base. She knew how to cause wounds far more than she knew how to mend them. She arrived and took a quick look at the others gathered before going to stand next to @Lune. Her respect for the lioness was growing though there was a level of it since her brother was fond of her and she was a cute thing to have around the Bluffs.
