What happens when you shove two chaotic forces together? Cubs, chaotic little demonic children, happen. After a business like transaction between the Andal King and Sersie, his lead fighter (promoted to noble) it has become clear that the tripod is now bearing saxe children.

****Before you progress, please be aware that the upbringing of these cubs will not be a loving one. It will be full of harsh, abusive topics and action. There is potential for even the extremes of maim/mutilation. Naming conventions are typical Saxe methods of combining both parents name to create a new one. In addition, Sersie prefers Greek names, or names that begin with an S. These children will bear the Saxe name and the social brand that comes with it.

In addition, Sersie will consider any weakness a failure. If you choose to have your cubs be fully blind, there is a chance they will get the brunt of her ire. If not be totally left to fend for themselves at some point or another. Especially if she feels there is no way they can fully contribute to the Pride itself.

A creature of conflict and grayed boundaries. What anchors them to this realm when parent wars against child, sisters against brothers, the world against their world? Tesari exists in a constant state of uncertainty as they teeter between the soft animal of their heart and the rigid shell built to keep the monsters at bay. What serves them in one moment against their mother's wrath is their downfall in the next, when they meet any chance of true connection with narrowed eyes and spitting hisses. They would not know tenderness if it slapped them in the face.

While expectations are drilled into Tesari's head before they even gain speech, they set plenty of their own demands upon themself. They allow no room for weakness of mind or body, though their soft nature inevitably disappoints them again and again. If Tesari does not meet parental wrath for falling short of their desired accomplishments, they are prone to punishing themself under the guise of becoming stronger.

Tesari is desperate for something they cannot name. They will latch desperately onto anything that makes them feel good for even a moment, gluttonous for the rare glimpse of light they receive.

Tries to be the “good child” and always seems to fail. Becomes meek as a defense mechanism. Her partial blindness is seen as something shameful that she has no choice but to make do with, too smart to let herself be hindered. She is likely not going to be held down by her cubhood experiences but will suffer trauma. 50/50 chance of her immediately clinging to anyone nice or it taking 2000000 years for her to feel comfortable with anyone. Will try to find comfort with Eerie and her other siblings. This is free to be rejected by others.

A little lady who will be shaped by her experiences. I can see her going in different directions but they hinge on those she meets and how they treat her.

A girl who will grow to be a lion who's main purpose in life is to work hard and so much for her family's own sake. Somone for who the word lazy and mediocrity will never be allowed to take hold of who she is a lion, as a Saxe. She will oftentimes go beyond her mortal capabilities. Sometimes bitting more than what he can chew… But in his eyes nothing of that matters for she wants to please and be daddy's favorite. To show them she is the winning number for them and their family. 

This comes with a solid and growing confidence, a confidence mainly held by the pride she has of being a Saxe, of being part of something she will come to see as glorious as godly. The Saxe held power, had superior skills, and bloodline, and so is what the young lioness will come to see. And the ruthless nature of her parents will be the main fuel to this side of her. The side of the one who wants only the best for her family. 

She will grow under her parents cold and tedious watch to be ruthless and do whatever it takes to ensure her family will come out on top, to make sure that those who dare to disrespect her and her loved ones face the wrath of her fangs and claws, but accompained with charm and emotional attacks. And in order to try impressing her family, she won't know any limits for her ways. But doing so carefully and not just with bland, unplanned actions.

NAME: Kreios or Dionos Saxe

PERSONALITY: Outwardly, Kreios is exactly the unyielding and cold son his parents urged him to be. What begins in cubhood as an aloof method of escaping the turbulent and often dangerous familial climate around him, often leading his younger self to remain nonverbal or to disassociate, Kreios' all-important emphasis on appearances and his preturnaturally present 'poker face' have become something of a deadly game of survival. Emotion is weakness and weakness is death, and when your own mother threatens your survival at the hint of a slip, the stakes could not be higher. Kreios purposefully maintains a stoicism that is nigh impeachable, refusing to allow any emotion to cross his features or, for that matter, his heart.

Ruthlessly shutting himself off from emotional stimulus makes him a brilliant strategist, and a ruthless fighter, but his obsession for maintaining his mask causes him to be vain, and he is afflicted by a compulsive need to be clean, to the point that he can suffer from attacks of anxiety and violent outbursts when overstimulated, be it by the itch of drying blood against his skin or from a simple splash of mud at the wrong moment. He is phobic and distrusting of all forms of touch, used to a more violent standard of living, and easily overwhelmed by any contact he does not initiate. Due to this and a lifetime of repression, he is also quite starved for contact, and the paradox is not lost on him. Perhaps that is why he is so willing to bite and claw and tear into the flesh of others- it is all the touch he knows, and the only sort he can accept.

Still, there is a sensitivity to this male, and beneath his untouchable mask there is great emotional frailty. Times of great duress, pain, or emotional turmoil still cause him to disassociate, shut down, or simply walk away, and he cannot tolerate betrayal. Once he trusts you, you had better not let him down, or he may not be the only one who won't recover.

GENERAL: I see him as being pretty loyal to the family, at least in the capacity that a soldier is loyal to a general. He tells himself he doesn't care about ANYONE or ANYTHING (he cares a lot about a lot) so he can be pretty uptight, aloof, and rude. He is probably kinder to his siblings but ultimately he has kind of a deep-seated fear of being vulnerable, even with them, so he is NOT emotionally well-adjusted. There is probably a lot of unresolved mommy/daddy issues happening with this guy XD

aloof x merciless x socially-awkward x violent x easily-frustrated

Born at the height of the Saxe vs. Everybody conflict, Daeira will not know peace in her young life. With a whole island out to get the Saxe children and a mother who will do the same if Daeira's not worthy of her time, Daeira is likely to grow up feeling that she has to be strong and forceful at all times. Exhausting. This could present as her bullying or picking fights with her siblings and standing up to her mother and father, only to likely get beat down until she proves her strength. The abuse she is sure to endure from her mother (and likely siblings too) will pressure her into a frenzied state, resulting in violent unpredictability and frustration that comes way too easily.

On the surface, she's likely to keep her stoic and violent demeanor, but on the inside, she's crumbling piece by piece from the fear of never being good enough to make her parents proud. She throws herself into opportunities to show that she's capable and worthy to her mother's eyes, but these opportunities aren't always obtainable. It's likely she will be heavily scarred by the time she's middle-aged due to this recklessness.

Her life feels like a constant battle for acceptance. Being taught that she has to fight for everything she wants (and then some), this leaves Daeira too aggressive to make many friends. She struggles with relationships outside of her family because no one understands what she's been molded into. And because no one understands, they think she's insane or mean. The insane part might be true in the future, after dealing with all of this stress for a lifetime, but all the girl really wants is a hug.

Daeira will be partially blind in her right eye, only being able to see light, shadows, and blurry shapes. At this time, her eye looks normal!
