The beginnings of spring brought with it the first spoils of snowmelt. The herds were slowly returning to the peninsula from their journey southward, and those who preferred the comforts of hibernation were slowly stirring from their months-long sleep. Kvare's gaze cast out across the ocean, the turbulent remainder of winter seceding to the rise of the spring sun. The scent of prey carried upon the salty wind, and low, masculine chuffs beckon for his pride to gather. The earliest of the herds would likely be the strongest, the fattest; and Caladan were in a perfect position to intercept them before they made their way toward the northwestern savannas.

There was something special about the slow fade of winter and rise of spring. Even when she yearned for the comforting cold of what reminded her of her home, spring brought something else. The birth of new life, a time of growth and regrowth.

She'd been stretched out on a rock near her den, soaking up the warm rays of sun that broke through the clouds. But it was the soft chuff that drew her attention away from the dancing waves, away from the relaxing warmth. Silent footfalls carried her towards the sound after she'd risen from her perch. A low, purring chuckle slipped past her lips when she saw him and settled nearby. "Hello to you, @Kvare. A perfect time for a hunt."

Aria had been lying low, avoiding the winter chill by going into hibernation mode. Doing his duties to the Cove, but not spending too much time away from shelter. The turning of the seasons urged them to action, the promise of spring in the air. Like the wheat lioness, the cheetah was also basking beneath the sun's warmth. The sound of the tide has become a pleasant background noise, enough to make him sleep. Eyes closed, and paws twitching with dreams of running. A lingering sound pierced the air, interrupting their slumber and leaving them drowsy and trembling.

Leaving their napping spot, they made their way toward the source of the cry. Aria smiled at @Kvare and @Lagertha as he approached, greeting both with a chirp. “Good day, Kvare, and good timing as always.” He gazed at the lioness as he introduced himself, “I don't believe we have met? I'm Aria.”

Driven under desire to grow within the pride, and to show @Kvare her capability to be mentored, she came to the chuffed summons, ensuring to stay downwind of the prey he'd caught scent of. As she arrives she notices @Lagertha already present, and issues a soft greeting to the woman as she seeks to join alongside. There's another pride mate, one she'd not met as of yet, who lingers with them, though she'd arrived just in time to hear the woman's introduction. "I'll take lead." Unless Kvare really wanted the position, she'd move to lead those gathered down the prey trail. While she'd not revealed her position as someone who found talent in the area of hunting she could surely prove it by providing the pride with a sufficient meal.

Happy that spring had arrived to the lands of Amaryliss, Khadija felt with more enrgy and desire to do more things. The warmer climate and healed up wounds gave her all the strenght needed to stand up and work her way around her new pride, a pride that even though she was brought into by force, she was starting to see that as a good thing. Knowing how chaotic things were turning into under the Saxe rule, it felt as if Kvare had saved her from such bad place, form a faith of chaos and death.

She started her day by jogging a bit, wanting to keep her muscles in good shape. Warming up so she could start the day in the right path. Yet as she went to do so, her abyss ears perked up at the sound of chuffs from her new king. She approachd finding already a few lions gathered. And thus she joined them for this hunt.

An unexpected surprise was wandering into the outing of a hunt amidst her fellow Caladan's and realizing that not only was she appearing to the masses but a singular lion among the masses was very important to her own timeline. At first there was confusion as she strolled up alongside @Khadija and opened her mouth, prepared to say something, before shutting it. I wasn't expecting you here. The last lion she ever would've expected but it begged Analia the question of looking to @Kvare and wondering if Caladan had prisoners that she wasn't aware about. That alone giving her reason to grit her teeth. He was her Great Uncle and free to do whatever he liked because it was his pride, but she hoped that she (of all lions) was not a prisoner.

Marja was determined to be the very best hunter and very best barony. So when she hears @Kvare 's call, she is quick to her feet, slipping and scrambling across the land as she bolts in the direction towards him. She isn't very quiet as she arrives, announcing herself a bit loudly. "MARJA HERE!" Her breath is in quick rapid pants. "Gromm bless hunt. Make good." She prays and then blesses the group of them quickly. "Bless paws for swift. Teeth for kill." Then she would nod, as if somehow this hunt was waiting just for her- to pray and bless before she would drop into her crouch, and stare with a bit of a beady eye gaze at Kvare- waiting for the order.

Her first love, after her family would always be the hunt. The moment she hears the hunting call, she is up- moving across the sands- moving rapidly towards her grand-uncle. Her arrival is met with... loud words from a dark lioness who seems a bit off, but she doesn't pay much mind to that- and instead moves to @Analía's side. "Ana." She greets softly, a gleam in her eye as she looks over the rest of the party with a nod of consideration. This was... this was good. They could do this. They would be able to handle whatever Maua or Vellen threw their way for the hunt. Right?

She was far from the first to arrive for this hunt, her mind obviously elsewhere with their newest recruit Zabrina getting settled into the Cove. Sunder did her best to spread her attention where it was needed, and participating in hunts was one of her duties that could not be ignored. With the pride growing with each passing day, it was vital that they continued to hunt to keep their cache full. By the time she did arrive there were plenty of individuals gathered which earned a warm smile from the Queen. She was happy to see so many of her pridemates involved in hopefully bringing down a decent prey to fill their cache. Sunder would move forwards to take her place alongside @Marja, giving her little witch a smile and a purr before turning her attention to @Yuna who had offered to lead them.
