dried spit clung onto the lilac girl's chin as she smacked her mouth and rubbed her groggy eyes. dreams of sandstorms and fire filled lilija with a wondering sense of curiosity as she began her trek out. this piece of land, her mother's den, had been carefully lorded over by her and her siblings for the past two months. now, lilija wanted more.

she wanted to see why there were roaring noises and why her nose stung a little. she wanted to stretch her little legs without running over her siblings. so when she thought her littermates and parents were asleep, lilija trudged out and into a b i g place full of weird texture beneath her paws and a big bright blue thing to the side. wow! lilija said as she watched with wide eyes.

oh, this was gonna be fo much fun.

She would have preferred sleep, that would have been far more enjoyable than a jab to the ribs as one of her siblings clambered away from their cuddle pile. Groggily Ylfa would peek one eye open, glancing swiftly around her to do a head count. It was obvious that @Lilija was the culprit and was missing from the vicinity. A growl rumbled in her throat, her sister wasn't going to just step all over her and get away with it. Ylfa rolls onto her stomach then, shaking her petite head to shoo the sleepiness away before rising. She pads through the den, stepping on whoever was in her way, she wasn't sure which sibling it was, but it didn't matter. Not to her at least. Her competitive drive made her furious that Lilija had beat her to investigating outside of the den. And when she comes barreling out, huffing and puffing, fur spiked all along her spine, she pauses to take in the same view that her sister had. "Wow!" Comes her sister's voice from a few steps ahead and Ylfa wastes no time in closing the gap between them. "You woke me." She hisses, glaring at her sister before glancing around them. "Let's go." She ushers, because if they were going to be awake the least that Lilija could do is humor her with an adventure.

The movement of her sister @Lilija would've not bothered Hjordis had it not been for the fact that she was stepped all over by the purple sister. A slight hiss escaped the eldest of the litter as she opened an eye to spot @Ylfa get jabbed in the ribs and then herself get stepped on by the same sister. Jaws snapped at Ylfa's ankles, but the mostly white sister had gotten away from her before she could even make contact. Where we're they going? Mama likely wouldn't be pleased with them sneaking out.

Making her own way to her paws, Hjordis made her way out of the den after her sisters - not even trying to be subtle about it. She came up behind the duo, ears pinning back for a moment. "Mama is gonna get you both." She said, flicking her tail as she stood there to look at the duo. She was so certain that mama would be mad that they had snuck out of the den before they were told they could.

It calls to her.

The great, roaring voice of the endless sea beckoned to her always, a summons cloaked in the sharp smell that needles at her mismatched eyes and the soft velvet of her nose, the darkness behind her eyelids swirling with smudges of roiling grey and brilliant sparks running in jagged lines just like the stripes that lined her fluffy blue fur.

With each day that passes, it becomes more and more clear that the child of storms will not long be contained within the ever-restricting walls of their den - even if it was the only world that the child had known so far.

The catalyst comes in a clumsy paw stomping on her tail. @Lilija. The display of gracelessness earns her sister a blind kick, needly claws sliding out to say 'hi.' Yet Jóhanna's irritated growl is only an echo to another, @Ylfa's departure into that great, alluring unknown no different than if she was a thundercloud herself. The merle pops her head with an annoyed sniff then, watching as @Hjordis too, ventures outside just the same, and Jóhanna takes a moment to stretch luxuriously in the extra space before leaping up to brazenly trot after her sisters.

The view is everything she had imagined - and so much more.

You're out here too. She sing-songs, swiping at Hjordis's tail as she approaches the trio from behind, her chin lifted high and haughty. They were all on this adventure together now - meaning, of course, that the others better not dare to try to have fun without her. We go this way. She asserts confidently, pointing with a paw towards where the crystal blue of the Lagoon seemed to glow the brightest, the golden sands littered with all sorts of unknown treasures.

She may have been the last one up, but it was never too late to take charge, was it?

some of lilija's siblings caught wind of her leaving and scrambled out. lilija's little ears perked up as she was first joined by @Ylfa, who said lilija woke her up. {sowwy} lilija said with a cheeky smile. she attempted to rub herself against ylfa, like they did when they were boneless potatoes. she was also content following her big sister's orders, but that wasn't all right now. 'cause @Hjordis came and said mama was gonna catch them! lilija gasped and put a paw on her chest before she wriggled her butt, ready to go back inside. {aw, i jus' got here...} her face fell, but she made no move to leave. this place was sooo much bigger than their den. why would mama keep it from them? soon, @Jóhanna joined and was verbally pulling lilija another way. {ah ah wait! i can't go both ways!} she said, stomping her little feet down. her eyes caught onto the big blue thing. it looked nice and comfy. {we go there!} she said, paw jutting out to point at it.

Her sister's apology earns nothing more than a grumble from Ylfa. She had half the mind to leave her here in the sand but now that she was awake, she knew she had the unspoken responsibility of staying together. If there was one thing that was always said to them, 'stick together' was one of the warnings that had been reiterated to them over and over again. Mama is gonna get you both. @Hjordis warns and Ylfa cannot stifle her laughter. "Good thing I wasn't first out then." She sends a dark look in the direction of @Lilija before a look of bemusement crosses her feature at @Jóhanna's swipe at their sister's tail. She quickly asserts that Hjordis was out here too before suggesting they follow her and Ylfa doesn't mind obliging. She trails after Jo, ears plastered, and hair bristled. She was a bitter child on a normal occasion and being woken up early only worsened her mood. "Find something fun." She demands curtly, though what she meant to say was Make this worth my time.
