The pines, they often whisper

They whisper what no tongue can tell

Atop a cliff, the pale bronze lioness stood, floppy ears preened forward, a breeze ruffling her fur, dual toned gaze locked on the horizon. Watching the darkness slowly give way to the brightness of day, she lingered on the cliff for just a moment longer.

Her path took her away from the Bluffs, away from her den and across the borders. Dual toned gaze wandered as the near colossal lioness moved through the wasteland at a steady lope, large paws kicking up dirt. What she was moving towards, she didn't know, only that there was something drawing her to a different place. For what? She didn't know. All she knew was that she felt like this was where she was supposed to be.

Only when she found a rock did she stop. For a moment she circled the rock, as if trying to decide if this was the right spot. But then she jumped onto the rock and settled back onto her haunches, gaze turned towards the horizon where deep midnight tones had begun to fade from a deeper violet into the multitude of colors that made up the sunrise, the dawn of a new day.

THREW MY BOTTLE AT THE SKY SAID, GOD THAT'S A WARNING

He makes his way across the new grounds, golden gaze ever observant. Kraven hadn't kept himself as contained recently within the Hollows. With the threat of war looming on the horizon he wanted to be prepared; sometimes that meant venturing beyond the borders to clear his head. He needed to be in the right mind frame if he was to protect his family, it was that simple. He didn't realize that he was following someone until he looked down at the ground, noticing the pawprints in the fresh snow. They were lion prints, that much was obvious. And his own curiosity would keep him venturing onward, closer to this mystery person. His golden gaze analyzed the landscape, noticing that the trail veered off to the left up ahead. "Now just where do you think you're going?" He murmured to himself, following through the underbrush. He remained silent, hanging back to avoid being seen. But he was getting closer to her, and by now he had discovered by the scent of her perfume drifting in the wind that she was in fact a female. One that had ventured out here on her own for whatever reason. Perhaps it was fate then, that he'd be the one following her.

Perhaps it was fate that had drawn them both out of their homes, drawing them ever closer like an invisible line. Or perhaps it was simply luck. Luck that it had been him who found her instead of another who might have chosen to harm her without thought. Whatever it was, they were both there and that didn't change. It was his scent that she first registered when she had gotten comfortable on her rock. Why not sooner? Perhaps she'd been too lost in through and wandering to notice anything else. Floppy ears laced back ever so slightly as the near colossal lioness shifted, dual toned eyes peering over her shoulder to see if she could spot the stranger lurking so close. "Are you going to hide forever?" Words spoken quietly, calmly even, with a low purr evident in her tone. She didn't know @Kraven, yet seemed to have no fear. Though her attention was still on his presence, she turned her head again to look at something in front of her paws, carefully sorting through a small assortment of plants.

For the time being he stayed back, observing the golden woman from afar when he eventually was able to catch a glimpse of her. It was her words however that drew a smile onto his face, "Are you going to hide forever?" He moves in closer to the woman, closing the distance quickly with his longer strides. "Who said I was hiding?" His deep voice croons as he moves to stand firmly to her right. His golden gaze is unhindered in it's wandering, though pauses eventually on her face where their eyes meet one another. "It's hard to hide when I see a pretty face alone in the woods." He muses to her, planting his haunches beneath him. He wanted to at least show her that he was no threat to her, in the very least his body language was relaxed.

Who said I was hiding?" His words drew a purring laugh from her. Though his presence had her wondering. Were there more lurking? Or was he the only one? But most importantly, what had drawn both of them to this place in this moment? Still, even with such questions lingering in the back of her mind, there was more on it as well. Floppy ears twitched a little and for a moment she seemed to be more interested in the plants in front of her. Though, in truth she wasn't all that good at pretending that the plants were more interesting than the unexpected company. And so, dual toned eyes met his by chance, lingering on him. There was a time where she'd have turned away immediately, embarrassed by the scars drawn over her left eye, but she no longer was. "My, my...aren't you a charming one?" A playful tease as she relaxed slightly. When he seemed to get comfortable next to her, she tilted her head a little, but then carefully moved a few of the plants by using a leaf to push them aside. "Oh, careful. Don't touch the end of that branch. Could still be sap on it and that can cause some really nasty blisters. Milky mangrove does that, but only the sap when a branch breaks off or when the leaves get ripped off."

"My, my...aren't you a charming one? Oh, careful. Don't touch the end of that branch. Could still be sap on it and that can cause some really nasty blisters. Milky mangrove does that, but only the sap when a branch breaks off or when the leaves get ripped off." Kraven is immediately intrigued by the woman's knowledge in herbs, his gaze turning to land on the branch that was directly in front of him. "You could have let me walk into it, so why didn't you? I am a stranger, am I not?" He questions her with an arch of his finely sculpted brow. Kraven would easily maneuver to his left and further from the branch but also closer to @Etain, his frame hovering above hers easily. "Those scars are quite unique." He says to her quietly, his golden gaze focused on the slashes going across her left eye. What an interesting creature this one was, he only wanted to know more.
