What happens when three close friends all get drunk and sappy together? Cubs, of course. In an all-too-beautifully cliché manner, these three hellions from Lorien are all going to raise a gaggle of kids and hope for the best. Whatever happens, happens. But what we do know is that these kiddos will be loved unconditionally, and likely smothered under cuddles and questionable parenting.

We will be happy to help cover any costs incurred from the designs.

Naming Conventions
Names are pretty open, but they'll likely be more simple, short. These cubs will be taking the Frei surname, regardless of their parentage.

Designs and genetics
Premade designs are available (and will be added here shortly), but please feel free to make your own designs! While you can choose to have genetics exclusively from the biological parents for each cub, you're more than welcome to mix and match for all three. The more confused we can make this trio, the funnier the outcome. Alternatively, you're welcome to make designs that don't include genetic markings. So long as the cubs roughly look like they can come from the trio, we're happy!

Genetic markings: Socks (solid or gradient), shoulder marks, extended unders, partial mask, back half-body, eye dots, upper eye shadow, dorsal (striped or solid), nose blaze, white neck, beauty mark, whole ears, tiger ear marking, dark tail, under-tail marking, cheetah eye liner, global striping. Full/partial heterochromia also genetic.

Peferences
Since this is a custom litter, you can choose who the parents are! Any Violarum x Olive kids will be born from Olive, while Olive x Halimede and Violarum x Halimede will be born from Halimede. Ideally, we would like at least one for each pairing. Otherwise, the parentage is totally up to you! These kiddos will be considered shared full-blooded siblings by their parents regardless of their biological genetics.

Cub Clause
We reserve the right to readopt out any cubs that fall inactive before 1 year or 50 posts. We are very willing to work with folks though, so please feel free to reach out about any activity concerns.

he is, as those of his stature and temperament are usually called, a gentle giant. the boy is laid back from birth, content to let his siblings chew on his ears or lay on top of him if it means he doesn't need to get up himself. aspen is sweet and increasingly pleasant as a grows up, a child that can always be counted on to be no fuss. not a picky eater, almost never a tantrum thrower.

aspen is carefree, a child with restless legs and a heart that thrums with wanderlust. he is insatiably curious and ravenous to see more people, places, and things. the boy is a wanderer through and through, unattached to places beyond having a place to sleep at night and food in his belly. an extrovert, there are few people who can manage to unnerve him and surely by the time he reaches adulthood, the boy will already be at the center of an extensive spider's web of connections.

that being said, as he grows up, aspen takes on the role of protector more and more. the only thing, perhaps which would get him to spur himself into action, is one of his loved ones being in trouble. and oh how his temper explodes in such situations. before all things come his siblings and parents, each set up on pedestals to be admired and perhaps the only anchors which can effectively weigh such a flighty boy down.

all things are open to alterations and changes as he grows and develops on site but this serves as a pretty generalized skeleton of sorts for his personality. for now i'm planning his master trade to be beatnik and his sub-master trade to be barb but that may swap around or switch to something else depending on what he ends up being interested in. also not picky about which parents he comes from so feel free to fit me in wherever you guys thinks he works best.

HALIMEDE X ANYONE

The lackluster son, Basil had given up trying to amount to anything the moment he was born. It was an awful experience, and seeded in his young mind the concern that whatever followed would probably be equally horrible, so why bother. He’s always been lazy in nearly every sense of the word, even down to the way he carries himself: reluctantly, usually slumped in a “I’d really rather not be here” slouch, his head never held higher than need be. There’s usually a dull, bored look on his face.

Whenever gossip reaches him though, he seems to liven up. The misfortune of others makes him feel better about his own miseries. He enjoys a little schadenfreude, yet is neither malicious enough nor motivated enough to trouble anyone himself. That would require too much effort — not to mention the consequences that he’d really rather not deal with (again, too much effort). Basil likes to keep himself an uninvolved witness to the chaos, not a player in it.

Given how otherwise apathetic he comes across as, it may be surprising then to learn that hidden behind that blasé look, Basil is quite troubled. He is insecure and incredibly anxious: the manifestation of his Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. More than merely bothered by the occasional intrusive thought, Basil is wholly consumed by them. Not every musing that pops into his head is a bad one, only most of them. They ricochet around his brain, smashing into each other and from every collision, more spark into existence. He helplessly chases each, yet never quite catches them, which only exacerbates his nervousness.

In particular, Basil is possessed by the thought of contamination. Common elements like mud give him visions of gangrene. He refuses to eat anything without fur (rhinoceros, hippopotamuses, elephants), unable to shake the belief that parasites can more easily burrow into bare skin, and therefore may be spoiling the meat. Feathered prey is also considered unclean, as infective lice could be hiding in the barbs, waiting to spread to his mane and coat.

Unrelated to his concern with cleanliness, yet nevertheless a fixation, is his obsession for even numbers, as well as numbers ending in three and five (such as thirteen and fifteen). The number nine is the one that vexes him the most. He likes pairs, especially matching pairs, and will drive himself mad trying to arrange the perfect set.

To ease his racing thoughts, Basil heavily self-medicates. He can often be found chewing on an Angel Trumpet’s leaf, or his namesake, basil. He’s stoned more often than not (and usually very obviously), which in addition to his somewhat unkempt mane, does nothing to improve his appearance of being lazy and sloth-like.

There is a light that shines bright within the soul of Wilt, an innocent essence that is too strong to be diminished by the darkness that surrounds in the world. She loves the life of a true Princess - she is carefree, fearing no judgement from her parents or siblings, thinking herself too kind to receive any bitter glares or negative attention. Curious, questions spill out of her mouth a mile a minute, endless wonder and awe that can often annoy whoever decides to give her company.

As she grows older, she will find an enjoyment in the way medicine works; how life sprouts in plants, and how magnificent their bodies were to be able to heal their own wounds. A gentle touch, and yet she is firm when she needs to be - blue eyes that can easily appear as ice to those on the wrong foot. That is about as far as her talents go, because there is a side of her that finds enjoyment in slowing down and living in the moment. If she’s not working on her healing skills, she is most likely to be found sunbathing or napping her time away.

Pepper is a sweet girl who is obviously very beautiful and is the undeniable Queen B whenever she's in a room filled with others. She is tough and clever; and is quite popular amongst peers. She often tries to use her social status to aid others, yet these crusades often aren't as successful as she wishes. She has extensive conversational skills and can be manipulative if the situation calls for it. There are some moments where she might come off a little ditzy and like an airhead, but those moments are fleeting and far between. She can be a little self-centered, okay a lot self-centered, but it's only because she knows what she wants and won't settle for anything less! She can be vain and spoiled but ultimately is well-meaning. Her inner confidence cannot be rivaled by anyone! And okay .. she might be a little bit of a control-freak, but she means well!

Rye idolizes what a prince should be: strong, compassionate, daring, courageous, always gets the girl. He is.. none of those things. Under that bright, sunny exterior is a turmoiled and lazy interior. A prince that would rather spend his days under the sun, not a care in the world but will feign attentiveness and responsibility. He wholly longs to be what a prince should be, but falls prey to his own fickle ways. Cares little for group settings, will mask his way through them. Moves to the beat of his own drum. Hates authority and being told what to do or how to act. Horrible secret keeper, will be the first to spill the beans. Blunt and honest, regardless of consequences, holds nothing back and doesn’t save feelings. Not good at reading other people, oblivious in romantic and friendly situations. Will talk your head off if given the chance, believes he’s the shit and will tell you too. Humble? We don’t know them.

Is a bit hotheaded, can and will lash out if he feels hurt or misunderstood. Quick to resort to anger before rational thinking. Won’t understand sarcasm well, takes everything literally. Clumsy he will always have some range of dirt, bruises, cuts, etc. on him because he doesn’t pay as much attention as he should. A bit ditsy, and over sensitive about it. Don’t bring it up. Easily influenced to do things he’s not supposed to. Sweet to your face but gossipy behind your back. Sticks to the familiar, doesn’t like change. Is an extreme realist, everything is straightforward and dealt with as they are. Doesn’t fantasize or make believe. Very hot and cold, good days and bad days but overall pretty neutral. Has his quirks and knows it. Will get along well with his siblings and parents. The epitome of golden child for his parents and trouble maker to the babysitter. Very flighty and noncommittal with relationships outside of family. Not a family man when an adult. Doesn’t want to be tied down.

Hali is a lioness who from a young age will show an amplified maternal and protective nature, one who will see cubs and young lions as a must to protect and do so in any means necesary. And even though it will be mainly come from the wish to feel needed, to have the idea of having others under her care, to be dependen on by somone younger than her. But this will come with a possessive nature, pessimistic toward those she has laid claim to and those she wants to own, like an item no one else can have. And when it comes to protecting those who cannot do it themselves, she will show a lot of aggression towards those whom she finds a threat.

Upon nourishing her innate nursemaid side, she will go as far as to claim cubs, seeing it as a way to protect them from the world. Much like her father, she is playful and might be for the rest of her life, finding it easy to show a carefree disposition and mess around with others.

Mischeif will be hard to resist for her will grow up watching her mother's ways and see them as something good to adopt as her own. Making her prone to prank and show a very childish side, and fed by her predisposition to interact with cubs there wont be much to stop her from being the most playful lioness out there.

A product of her parents, Sika is the trio combined. A pure wild child, but in the hippie sort of manner. She loves to cause problems for her parents, often trying to drag her siblings into her shenanigans as well. However, she does have that possessive Frei nature to her, claiming things and others as hers - even if someone else disagrees. However, she is her mothers' daughter - and she is as extroverted as Olive is. Always a silly thing, Sika is quite playful and always teasing her siblings and friends. Sometimes - her teasing can be a bit too much. But she always keeps her friends close, and her family closer.

Born to royalty and being a Frei, she feels she is entitled to anything she wants. She'll mature out of this a little bit as she gets older, but she'll still have the entitled nature she was born with. Always speaking her mind, Sika has no filter at all. She doesn't know when to hold her tongue - especially when she is young and still learning the world. But she'll follow Olive's example - always speaking what's on her mind when it pops into her mind. If something catches her attention, she will stubbornly pursue it until she gets what she wants.

Standing at the size of her father Violarum, Sika takes her build after her mothers. Athletic but petite for how large she is, she's a force to be reckoned with. Sleek bodice lends itself to nimble movements, odd for one of her size. Odd as it may seem, Sika appears to be a combination of all three of her parents. The build of Violarum, but the bobbed tail of Olive - along with markings that hint towards all three parents. Extended undersides that hark back to Violarum, dorsal stripe reminiscent of Halimede and Olive, and then neck stripes that resemble Halimede's. Dark upper eyeshadow and eye dots like Olive's, she is a perfect mix of all three parents.

Fur is soft and plush to the touch, almost as soft as down. Her fur remains soft her entire life, even as she gets down and dirty with different things. Fur, while not nearly as long and fluffy as it could be - is still fluffy. Tufts of fur hang off her elbows and haunches, as well as her cheeks. Eyes are a mix of colors - with each one lending itself to a different combination of colors. Her left eye is a mix of red and yellow, the right a mix of silver and red.
