The commotion is impossible to miss. It is impossible for her to tuck into her den and ignore it all- as war erupts within her home. Odette travels rather quickly through the land. Her heart is hammering like an anvil being struck as she arrives and takes in the insane amount of battles. Her father is locked in a battle, her brother and king against another and more and more erupt. Her heart thunders, it echoes as she stares with wide eyes at the insanity of it all. The message though is clear this is war and the intruders have to leave. She is hesitant, and unsure, but as she spies a lioness who appears to be about her age... she makes the decision. She can either fight for the Mire or she can hide, but she can't do both.

So she decides to fight.

Odette barrels through the thick her home, and heads straight for the yearling that reeks of the Oasis, that reeks of the scent of those intruders, the one that her dad is fighting. She aims to slam into the left side of the female, aiming for her jaws to find a bite into her neck or shoulder, if she is so lucky.

The message is clear. Get out. Or stay, but as a prisoner.

The sound of war is like the steady echoing of drums across the land. Though she is no longer privy to the goings on of the Mire, she cannot deny the summons that the sound brings. Her first war. Her first fight that she had won in this land had happened on this soil, and thus she returns to it. She makes the decision to cross into the border, knowing that Alaric had always held the borders open to her, and heads for the sound of war. She pushes past battle after battle, her eyes locking on her friend and former king where is in the thrall of war against a familiar looking plum male.

She moves, weaving through the crowd with practiced ease until she spies a familiar female. @Amara is a welcome face and a figure she moves towards. As she nears, she aims to come as close as she can, though her posture is unthreatening, she is tense and ready to fight. "What's going on? Who are we fighting?" She asks the ebony Queen as she nears, and those words make her allegiance clear. She would fight for the Mire, for Alaric at anytime.

Her eyes lock on Bruno as he fights against another, and she wonders if this war like so many others truly began as he vied for his crown. Her tail swishes at her ankles, as she watches, and waits- her gaze drifting between the young king, and his father.

Ghyslaine is here as a personal ally to the Mire. She is open to fights.

Little does her mother know, she has a shadow. Maeve is super sneaky, and clearly the best, because she manages to not only smell like flowers, and not like herself- she follows her mother! They travel for what feels like for-ever, and then when she finally sees her mother stop- she smells the strangest and frankly stinkiest smell. Mama crosses the border, like this is her home and of course Maeve is right behind her. The fluffy cub avoids the mud as much as she can, which- to be fair isn't... easy. This place is so sticky! And then she hears it! The almost deafening roar of something she hasn't really heard much of. It sounds like fighting, like it did on that mountain. Like... a lot of it though. Maeve speeds up to get closer to her mother, lest she get lost- and when she finally sees the crowd, she pushes into a bush with wide orange and silver eyes. She watches her mother weave through the crowd, before tucking herself as carefully as she can to watch. Bodies clash against bodies, and there is a tang of something warm and wrong in the air. Yet, she remains hidden, and watchful, studying the fights with interest and of course keeping the closest eye on her mother- lest she wander into trouble!

As usual, the chaos flocked around the Saxe. Purple eyes are alight at the scene, watching bodies unfurl into ruthless combat, a war erupting through the Mire. It is beautiful, in her opinion, something Seifrienriosa yearned to take part in. Ears strain to hear what is said between Renfri and the child - gaze peering over the lioness too, eyeing the situation before her mother began to leave off with her. A nod at her warning, and she watches Renfri command the woman off before her eyes shift onto the other cub. What a little tattle tale. "What a stupid girl you are. Didn't you just hear what she told your mom?" Well, it seemed the other cub only cared for her mother's safety, and not her sisters. Seifri would be sure to let Renfri know their departure was not smooth like requested for Melusina's safety. And then the other kid is insulting her mother. Her temper begins to flare, but she is calculated with it. Oddly enough, she may even be in control of it. Seifrienriosa had gone through a lot of development through the past months, pushed and tried to her limits; now, she was matured. She was ready. A glance to her sister, @Setri , as if there was a knowing look that they were about to have their own share of chaos next. The enemy comes at her swiftly, feeling her slam into her right hip and causing Seifri to stumble to the side a bit. Quickly, she works to regain her balance by digging her feet into the ground, a grimace taking her features when fangs and claw tear into her back right leg. Seifri attempts to throw an unsheathed claw in her direction, talons attempting to sink into the girl's left hip. Nope, not on his watch!

He was drawn forward to the war like a moth to a flame, and despite his father's warnings it did little to stray him from fearing what was to come. This was in his blood. This was his destiny - he was a Saxe!

And that meant the Mire scum wasn't going to get away with his sister.

The colossal boy attempts to charge forward, aiming to barrel his body and weight into the girl from her side, hoping it would give his sister some time to find her footing and aid him in her defense.

She had no fond memories of this place or the people within, but Halimede were not Halimede if she did not ride with the crew. And when she meandered into the swampy territory, seeing Aeistrios throw himself at the Ecrosian King only delighted her further. There was a certain shared fondness in sharing enemies, for it forged newfound friendships where once there'd been an uneasy tenseness, a tension started and ended in name alone. Halimede gave her overly-fluffed coat a quick shake, the enthusiastic hormones of early pregnancy working in overdrive this particular time (Halimede was half-certain she herself would grow a mane sooner than later).

Hastily did she meander over toward the familiar @Violarum and @Olive, a single warm glance thrown in @Haven's direction before greedily sliding against her friends. I hope the literal rainbow shows up, she croons gently, eager to exact her very-overdue revenge for blinding her. Halimede would likely be disappointed to find out Aeistrios' army had become one of over-eager cubs, but she'd never been past throwing fists with a youngster that deserved it.

Arched talons twisted, flexing deeper to cut seamlessly through Luther’s thick pelt, his bastard of a brother making the damage far worse even as he retracted from Luther’s back. The pain, scorching hot like licks of fire touching his flesh, made his twisted expression churn even further. One would think his expression could not darken anymore, but it did. Blood painted gnarled red wings down both sides of his back. Red streamed down, down, down while the swampland mud below drank it gluttonously.

Orc-like teeth sank through the brown-coated flesh covering Bruno’s left shoulder. Invigorated more by the pain of indigence than that of physical wounds, Luther attempted to slam his teeth together around flesh and pull back in order to tear it free on his way out. Instinctively his eyes shut when he felt Bruno’s teeth scrape against his nose, leaving deep marks there that were likely worsened by Luther’s own movements.

The pain burned, but his desire for vengeance burned stronger.

His right limb rose with brutish power from beneath him, claws extending to try and hook behind Bruno’s left shoulder, specifically into the soft skin of his armpit.

LEIAH

She would have been perfectly content to remain hidden in the underbrush, watching with vivid purple eyes as chaos erupted around her. But one particular skirmish caught her attention, @Refieron was barreling into the side of an older blue yearling and Leiah could already feel her claws unsheathe before she could even interpret what she was getting herself into. He was younger than her, and though he had their father's gargantuan size on his side, she wasn't sure it would be enough. It would come with a risk to herself, but it would be worth it. The Saxe defended their own, there was no other option.

Leiah rises from the ground and makes a beeline towards her brother, her gaze narrows in on the hindquarters of the yearling and with front paws outstretched she attempts to latch onto Odette's backend. She hopes to anchor herself against the yearling, using her weight to slow the other down if her aim was true. If not then she'd simply have to attack again and again until her claws sliced into pliant flesh. She would not relent until she and Refieron were successful.

Ciara watched in silence as more lions engaged into fights, fights of different levels. From maims to now a thieft fight. And at first she wasn't going to engage along her sister. But that was until she saw another going after her. Oh no, she wasn't going to let a 3 vs 1 go. That was not fair! She wasn't a fighter but there was no way she would use that as an excuse to abandon her sister like that.

She used her previous hidden state to try sneaking behind the cubs that were ganging up on her sister. And quickly she rushed from behind him(@Refieron) attempting to bite hard on the lower portion of his spine (base of the tail). Wanting to try getting his attention away from her sister. Then she spotted the other girl going for her sisters backend. They needed help and soon.

"Why?" Why was it dangerous? She pursed her lips in thought as she watched them descend into further madness, still no signs of any of her littermates amongst the fray. She considered with a tumbling stomach that perhaps they were smart enough to steer clear entirely. But, would they really leave her to stand alone? She blinked to clear the thoughts and glanced down to the pair of cubs in attendance, then up to an older figure who hovered over them with similar, bright coloration.

"That's why –" Hekate tossed her head in the direction of a growing frenzy of royal youth, this side and that squabbling over the rights to steal young ones away from their home. Such would be the fate of those boys if they were not careful.

"Lead them back, I will bring up the rear.”

Gaze hardened somewhat as she stared at the boy – similar to her own age, she would guess, though only an Ecrosian commoner. Was it not enough to be subject to the whims of kings not forged from the moon itself, as she and hers had been? Was she really to take orders from young boys?

"You seem strong enough to handle them," she delivered the compliment as a means of denying him. No – she would stay and fight for her people. Though it was a paper crown she wore, it was a crown nonetheless. Attempting to scoot the boys along with a rough shove to their rumps in instruction, Hekate then turned to face the bulk of the madness. Sights set back upon the lump of wrestling royals. Gaze shimmering with the suggestion of amusement, she issued a low but resolute claim for one of their purple-swathed youths.
