It was a terrible day to be a bug. Valkyrie had yet to discover whether or not there was ever a good day, but she did know one thing: no creepy crawly in Obsidian was safe. The toddler remained blissfully unaware of any tension surrounding her birth and spent most of her time either napping, beating up her brothers or murdering the local insect population. It was a tough life, but Valkyrie fucking Brynmawr was up to the task.

She had cornered a beetle down one of the winding tunnels and was doing as all cats did: batting it around as though hitting it enough times might trigger it to do something more interesting. It hissed and clacked its mandi bles threateningly, but she was no scaredy cat as she spun it around on its shiny carapace. Kyrie giggled and dropped into a playful bow as she continued to play, oblivious to anyone that might be lurking nearby.

There was still plenty of tension surrounding Csitri and Arkyn's children but Celestia wasn't about to let that stand in the way of her loving and caring for her grandchildren. She had a huge heart, especially when it came to the cubs, and she was going to be sure they knew just how much she loved them. Celestia was moving through the Hollows, a large chunk of zebra clenched between her teeth when she spotted @Valkyrie. She'd let a soft chuff out towards the girl before closing the distance. The grandmother would drop the chunk of meat at Valkyrie's tiny paws, a grin sent in her direction. "Are you hungry little one?" She would ask softly before lying on the ground beside her. Her tail thumped lightly on the ground, her paws outstretched in front of her as she waited for her response.

Such moments like these left no room for discussion when it came to little Njörðr. He'd awoken much as he did any other time to find the absence of Valkyrie. Her warmth or annoying moments to attack him did not pull him from his slumber. It was her lack of presence that drew the peach cub to wander the tunnels. His full intent was on finding his younger sister to ensure she didn't end up in any trouble. But of course he only found her doing as she always did.

Fighting a bug.

Njö wandered closer to place a paw over his sister's tail. He took the appendage into his mouth with a light tug; before, green eyes landed on their grandmother @Celestia. Her question was spoken just in time for his ears to capture and he took a seat. Still holding onto @Valkyrie absentmindedly.

Toying with the beetle was diabolical. It was wicked. She was a cruel, cruel mistress and soon the insect would feel her gummy wrath. There was a devilish smile on her lips as she hunkered down, narrowing her pink gaze on the target while slowly wrenching her muzzle open to drift closer and closer to finishing the beetle off entirely. Once her plan was complete, she would retreat back to her family for a well-deserved nap. Being evil was exhausting work, after all.

Before her budding teeth could snag that satisfying crunch, she felt teeth latch onto her bobbed tail. She yelped and spun around, fully planning on bolting back to her parents like a scolded cat when she realized it was her brother. Valkyrie bristled up grumpily. "Stoooooooopppp," she whined, putting on the puppy eyes to encourage her brother's release. Fortunately, grandma was on the case. Sorta.

"GIGI, HE'S BITIN' MEEE! HURTS!" It did not, in fact, hurt at all. Kyrie collapsed dramatically onto her side, stretching her little legs towards the meat and grabbing at the air with her paws. "Cants move.. bruffer so mean.. wonts let go." Woe was her! Couldn't anyone see the injustice?

Celestia had settled herself comfortably, watching as @Valkyrie batted at her beetle, completely distracted by the whole ordeal when @Njörðr joined them. It was only moments before the boy was pouncing on her tail and Celestia shook her head, a small chuckle reverberating through her. Gigi, he's bitin me! hurts! Cants move.. bruffer so mean.. wonts let go. Celestia had a better idea, a way for the two of them to get their energy out before she returned them back to their parents. "Gyere most." She'd chide lightly, "Why don't you two play a game, hmm? Look." Celestia would reach down, dragging the zebra chunk towards her before digging her teeth into the taut flesh. She'd rip off a large chewy piece, long enough for the two to play tug-of-war with. "Valkyrie you take one end and Njö you take the other. You both pull at the same time. Whoever falls first loses, and the winner gets to have the best piece of this zebra, the soft side." She says with a small grin before throwing the strip of meat in-between the two. She sits up then, golden eyes glistening as she waits, watching in earnest.

Valkyrie's dramatic performance was one he'd never seen before. Her wailing cries of faked hurt made him shake his head a tad. Cub teeth biting down just a bit harder. If she wanted to feign such actions, he would provide her with the real thing. A smirk claimed his tiny lips. Finally letting her go. {You're so loud.} Njörðr shook his head at @Valkyrie. Attention still on the presence of their grandmother @Celestia as she spoke of a game.

Curiosity pushed him back to his paws. Eyeing her movements when ears fell back at the subtle thud of the ripped zebra meat. He sniffed the end closest to him. Tongue reaching out to lick at the fleshy substance. For a moment, the brynmawr cub thought of just snatching it for himself. Gaze falling onto his little sister with a flash of little teeth. Taking one piece into his mouth with a fiery, yet, playful glint in those green pools.

VUKASIN

He'd been watching and observing in the background, a soundless shadow despite his fur color. Bright eyes flicker between his two siblings as they bickered, while @Celestia tries to come up with a compromise to settle whatever dispute they were having. Vukasin was content on staying in the shadows, that was until @Njörðr seem to goad @Valkyrie. Big paws carry him to stand next to their grandmother, looking up at her with rounded eyes. "Can I join?" His voice echoes around them as it bounces off the cave's walls, a pleading expression plastering itself upon his face. Now normally the cub wouldn't ask for permission, but when there was already an adult present, he wanted to look like the good pupil.

"The weason I don't has a tail's cuz you BITES IT OFF!" she hollered back to her brother's comment. She scowled at him and flashed her little teeth before trying to jerk her bobbed tail out of his mouth once and for all. "Jus' a stinky tail-eater!!" Kyrie grumbled and flopped over onto her belly as gramma Celestia suggested a game of tug-of-war. The toddler grumbled and looked at the piece of meat hungrily, but not for the meat itself. Oh, man, she wanted to smack her brother with it and all she had to do was win a dumb game of tug? Count her in. She wasn't going to play fairly, though, because playing by the rules meant she could lose.

Valkyrie attempted to snap her jaws around the other piece of meat and immediately tug, relentlessly trying to whip her head from side to side to dislodge it from her brother's teeth. She glimpsed @Vukasin from the corner of her eye and growled encouragingly. "Helps me! Im's better!"

Celestia watched with amusement as the cubs began their game of tug of war. Out of the shadows @Vukasin joins her and she leans down to groom the top of the boy's head affectionately. "Where is @Eike? Why not wait for him and then you two can have a go at it?" She'd offer to him before her watchful gaze would return to her two other grandchildren as they continued to fight over the piece of zebra flesh. "I'll tell you what, if your brother doesn't come around you can play a game with me instead." She offers Vukasin then, because it would only be fair if they all got to participate, one way or another.

Njörðr laughter spilled over the hunk of zebra flesh caught between those growing lion cub teeth of his. His sister’s words easily ignored when she tried to take the other end of meat and shake him free of it. Sadly, she was only able to get just a tiny corner of their new toy. Even @Valkyrie’s move did nothing to make him let go.

Claws digging into the stone floor, he attempted to pull the chunk from what little grasp she did manage to have. His own head now shaking left and right with a teasing growl t’wards her words. It didn’t matter which brother joined, this price was his for the taking.
